Just wanted to hop on and say a quick thank you to everyone who helped answer my many questions!!!

We just returned from our stay and it was more amazing then I ever could have imagined!

We had a standard view garden wing and just LOVED it!!! Kids loved seeing the monorail from the room. We were on the ground floor which had a little patio. Such an easy walk everywhere and so quiet!!! The bathroom was amazing and the room larger than we expected. Very clean too!!!

The morning after check in we asked for fresh towels and to remove the old ones, as well as trash removal. We had a lot of towels from cleaning up from the airport and such and read they come every other day so I was surprised to come back to an entirely made up room on day 2, even tho I only asked for trash and towels. It was a nice surprise especially after a long park day!

This was our first time staying here and we already can’t wait to return. I think we have officially been converted from an Epcot resort area family to magic kingdom resorts!
Glad you had a great time!

I have a couple questions about our upcoming stay. We have three rooms booked for theme park view. Can we request to have our rooms on the same floor? How and when do we do that and what is the chance of that happening? Thanks so much!

Call Disney and ask to make a note to your reservation. Tell them you are traveling together and want to be on the same floor.

It all depends on how many people are leaving the day you arrive but there are a fair amount of rooms on each floor so you may get lucky.

I thought I saw this posted before, but now I can't find it. Is there a boat from the Contemporary to MK? I know there is one from the Poly, but I wasn't sure about the Contemporary.

No, there isn't. But there is a walkway to MK that takes about 10 minutes to walk there. Also, the is the monorail, but it makes stops at Poly and GF before stopping at MK. Coming back from MK you can take the resort express monorail that stops at CR first. We were just there Aug. 13-22 and and took the monorail going to MK.

What is your best Contemporary Resort tip? Is it a hidden path? A convenient room in the garden wing? A can't miss treat? A fun activity? What do you recommend?

Fireworks from the 4th floor viewing deck. There is something awesome about tossing on your PJs/comfy clothes, grabbing a cookie or some ice cream and watching the show without the crowds. Especially a show from an after hours party you aren't at!

In the garden wing there are cute little sitting areas by the mid-building elevator, nice place for a quiet call or cup of coffee if your room is loud.

The sun coming up over the marina is beautiful. And watching the electric water parade from there is a fun little treat.

You can grab dinner at Casey's and be back to your room within 15 minutes via the walking path....yes we did this when we couldn't make steakhouse 71 to go work with our schedule.

Riding out the afternoon storms from the fourth floor is cool provided you aren't scared of lightening....lots of windows.

Everyone is different on what they like, it’s definitely a personal choice. We brought along our 6 year granddaughter and she was overjoyed eating at Chef Mickey. Not sure if you are bringing children.
We stayed once in the garden wing and it was fine. It was a long walk to the monorail. Now we book the Atrium Level TPV only because we like it a lot.
There is a gift shop on the 4th floor that also sells cupcakes and they are delicious.

Our fun activity was renting cabanas for two days to relax. :)

When we go again we would definitely buy Genie+ and lightening lanes again. It was great not waiting in lines in the heat. We never did rope drop, no one wanted to do that.

We did each park twice except Epcot. We rode all the popular rides with genie or LL.

Hi Contemporary fans!
Quick question...Yet another one
It is my understanding that the odd number rooms with TPV Atrium CL have the bed facing Magic Kingdom. (Or that you can see the fireworks from your bed.) Can anyone confirm this?
:thanks:

We had room 4845 and the one queen bed closest to the sliding door
you can see the fireworks while laying in bed. I opened up the drapes all the way, perfect view.

Just got back and thought I'd just give some thoughts. It was our first time staying at Contemporary and we just loved it. We stayed in the main tower, lake view room. I had submitted a room request through Touring Plans 9th floor or higher and overlooking the pool. Didn't quite get that as we were room 4230 which is floor 7 and a bit closer to Bay Lake Tower, but honestly it didn't matter. View was still amazing and we were closer to floor 4 (Contempo Cafe, shops and monorail entrance) so we were just as happy. The water pageant came by our room each night which was fun.

Room was spacious. It seemed like there could be a few more drawers but only DH and I used them so we had more than enough space. (our kids preferred to just live out of their suitcase) Washroom is great....loved the shower; very spacious and lots of provided shampoo and conditioner (did carry on so we didn't bring our own). It also had a powerful hairdryer which isn't common compared to regular hotels. My only pet peeve with the washroom was the door for the toilet doesn't close...or maybe it was just our room.

Personally I like the Incredibles theme. Cute and not over the top.

On our first night we watched the fireworks form floor 4 which was pretty neat.

Our rooms were cleaned every other day but that was fine. We were short on towels one time and so we called the front desk for more. I don't even think we waited 5 minutes for someone to send them up.

We loved the fact that we could walk to Magic Kindgom and the monorail was right there. Bus service was pretty good too.

Only pet peeve with the hotel is that we couldn't use the stairs to get to our room. The elevators did get busy at times.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Are standard rooms just in the Garden Wing? The conference DH has been invited to is at the Contemporary. He is on oxygen and often has mobility issues so we are hoping to get a room near the Convention Center and transportation. I think the Tower is closest, but I don't know if standard rooms are available there. (Since the conference is paying for the rooms, I assume we will be given standard.) Any suggestions for a room?

The std are in the GW. I would call and request closest to lobby and mention the mobility issues. Would being on 1st floor help? If so request that as well.

I'm here now and I don't know if this has been mentioned...not all garden wing rooms have a daybed now. Our original room didn't have one but they were able to find us an alternate one that did.
If you have any time, can you please take a picture of the Recreation Calendar? Thank you so much!
