Hi. Spending two nights at BLT for the very first time as part of a split-stay for President's weekend. I thought I booked a Studio Lake View, but I just double-checked and it's a Studio Standard View (darn!). Can anyone tell me what the view will be of? Any advice on if I should put a room request in for a particular location? (We're new DVC members, staying on points, if it makes a difference.) Thanks!

Standard views are on the first few floors. They can be any side of the building but they will have obstructed views a lot of times.

Thanks! I was having difficulty with the forum search function, as I got so many results for "standard view." I think I'm going to request "higher floor, north end" in the hopes that it's better than it could be. It looks like "high floor" might be floor 5 for standard view, but if we got it, that would be better than floor 2, in terms of having a peak at something besides cars.

This is the view from 7140. If it’s still classified as standard and you don’t mind ground floor, it looks like a nice one.

We just checked out of our stay at BLT. My husband loved it so much he wants to buy points there. I have mixed feelings about the theme park/parking lot view. Next time regardless if there are fireworks we will book lake view.

Not sure if this answers your question, but we were moved from a June CR lake view tower room to GF.

Everything I've seen says the Tower Room refurb is to run from April through September. So if you were in a Tower Room in August, yeah...that would be related to the refurb.

That's the room I put on my TP request! I don't have a ton of hope because it's DVC... I might email member services today of I remember. If not, it doesn't matter. I'll be at Disney!

No 7XXX or 8XXX means BLT.

7XXXX goes up to the 9th floor. So 77XX would mean 7th floor.
8XXX is 10th floor and above from what I can find.

That is correct. We were on tenth floor last time and our room number was 8035.

Good luck!! I'm surprised they didn't offer you a relocation.

I'm slated into the Poly for my 50th birthday trip and my trip starts the first day they are taking regular room (non-DVC-side) reservations. I'm REALLY hoping the fact that they're taking the Contemporary Tower rooms down means they are confident they can get the the Poly done on-schedule (I know my TA said that at her agency they are ALL hoping that also because otherwise it is wrecking Disney for monorail resort rooms) - but trying to figure out my Plan A, B, and C to request as I am one of the weird ducks who has no desire to stay at the Grand, which my guess is likely where they'd try to put anyone displaced from the Poly. Contemporary TPV was going to be my Plan A...so I need to figure out what Plan B was and bump it to Plan A just in case.

We booked when CL was still an option and it’s on my reservation and I’m still holding onto hope that it could be a reality by august! We are booked in a 1 BR BLV Tower suite. The two full bathrooms in this room and size of the room works for my family and so we always book it. We also booked at full price so I feel confident we can find a solution with a room that will be comparable. Although I’m not interested in a villa since I don’t like to cook on vacation!

If the hours for the Wave Lounge are listed until 11pm, do you know if they serve food until then? Also, do they allow to go orders? We arrive into MCO at 9:45pm from the west coast so wondering if it will be possible to still find something to eat when we arrive. Thank you!

Does anyone know the actual date the main tower closes. I have a 3/26-4/2 reservation and just received the email to confirm that I was still coming and someone would contact me due to unavailability. Really hoping I can at least stay in the Main Tower until 3/31!!

I was just tinkering around on the website, for whatever that is worth. I didn't exhaustively search every date combo, but in my few minutes of searching this is what it looked like to me:

Tower - Theme Park View - Can't book 4/4+

Tower-Lake View - Can't book 5/15+

Obviously availability is an inconclusive clue, but it may suggest something. Or it may not!
