I know these aren't the best shots, but I realized the morning we were leaving that I didn't take any photos of the room!!! This is a 1br suite, 4901, corner with an amazing bay lake view (and that's coming from someone who lives in Hawaii!) this is of he living room with the pullout queen. The most comfortable pullout I've ever seen! (My husband has video of the room and cl which I'll try to get from him soon!)

I wouldn't consider a tpv at cl since you can go to the lounge anytime and enjoy it. Essentially you get two views for a (slightly) lower price.

As I mentioned before our cr stay was amazing and I wish I was still there. The proximity and 5-10 minute walk to mk with my 2 year old was worth every penny.

We had no monorail or elevator issues as some who had stayed recently posted on.
Busses were easy but do share with wl. I also found that the gift shops were great and ended up buying everything I needed there vs world of Disney. Our time at dd was insane! The amount of people there really was wild and it felt busier than the parks.

The cr pool for our needs perfectly. My daughter even went down the slide! We rented a cabana one afternoon but found it wasn't necessary as there are tons of loungers and spaces in the shade.
A hui hou cr...can't wait to get back in 2017.

Aloha! What a great suite and thank you for posting some photos. Have fun planning your 2017 trip.

Less than two weeks until BLT. And I don't mean bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes!:woohoo:

:yay: :yay:

Glad you had a great stay. Nice pics, thanks for sharing :).

MILITARY SALUTE TICKETS AND ROOM DISCOUNT EXTENDED THROUGH DECEMBER - 2016 EXTENSION COMING SOON.

Steve first made the announcement HERE and then Disney officially announced it HERE.

Kook...isn't this the best news! pixiedust:Can't wait to see the 2016 extension and always grateful disney honors the military members and families with this great discount !

We're stating at Contemporary for the first time next month ans excited. Is it better to stay in the Towe then garden wing rooms?

Are the cribs to use in the room a pack n play? I heard that some resorts have mini cribs not pack n plays

On our one CR visit we stayed in the tower. I liked being able to get off the monorail in the same building. For a future visit, I would pick tower.

But garden rooms seem to sell out faster. You still have a nice location with a cheaper price.

I booked a lake view in the tower. Are these rooms normally included in spring discounts?

My husband has asked to stay at the Contemporary in the tower for his 40th birthday in January. We'd probably be there Jan. 11 to Jan. 15, 2016. I know he'd prefer club level and I'd like to surprise him with a TPV.
Should I just book now? Or is it possible that there may be a discount released in the future that could apply to a club level tower room with TPV? Is it better to wait? I have to admit it is really difficult to not just book so I can tell myself that I have a Disney World trip booked! :-)

Just switched from WL to Contemporary Garden Wing for 12/11/15 - 12/19/15. We have done BLT Studio, any pointers for CR GW would be greatly appreciated. Starting to think we should be on that resort changers thread...ha ha ha. We didn't really want to change but a little scared to chance it with the DVC expansion coming. We loved BLT and figure CR GW will just be something we have not done yet.

You can always apply a discount later, if available. If this is the room type/resort you want, discount or not, I'd definitely book it now!

Good advice. I'll go for it!

ITA!

We get back to BLT on Friday. Can't wait!
I Hope you have a magical vacation and happy travels.

In the past year or two, some resorts and/or categories have been excluded. Most of the time the categories are larger villas and suites, so if CR is included, then the Tower rooms/CL should be included as well. I've never seen them exclude Tower rooms specifically.

Getting very close to our BLT stay. So close we can taste it! :hourglass

I'm excited for you and picturing all the goodies on your DxDP - so much fun and BLT is wonderful.

Your DH has great taste and your upgrade will be the icing on his birthday cake. I agree with the PP that you should just book it and work out those nitty-gritty discount details later.

I'll add your dates to the log. Walking to the MK is fabulous and you're still on Beautiful Bay Lake. You'll also have a much larger room. Since the GW doesn't have balconies, some like to request a ground floor room since they can sit out on the patio. The best GW room views are the Garden View rooms that directly front Bay Lake:
