Does anyone know how much the CR charges us to have water shopped by amazon? I heard that they charge a fee. We dont want to use garden grocer bc its a $40 minimunm plus delivery and we ONLY want water. Any experiences or suggestions on sending/shipping water to this resort? (we will not have a car btw so we wont be able to drive to store, etc.) Thank you so much!! We arrive in 12 days!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Depends on weight of water. Charges are listed on the first few pages of this thread. Packs of water are pretty heavy. My packages were light and cost $3 each.

Just wanted to say how much I love this thread, particularly as my next trip is getting closer. It gets me so excited to read about the CR/BLT, about everyone's ongoing trips and just back reports, and even the planning for the first time visitors to the resort. Only 50 more days from today till I'm back myself :goodvibes

I'm so glad to have found this thread. Just moved our reservation over to CR. We will be there from Nov. 15 to 25.

:cheer2:

I agree, this a great thread and very informative :). It won't be long before your checking into the CR :wizard:.

Congrats on moving to the CR. I love reading about everyone's trips as we've never stayed at the CR, but are thinking of a booking a few nights in either May or December 2015 :goodvibes.

Hi CR peeps!

Don't post much here, but I try to keep up with this thread bc we stay at the CR every Sept and love it.

We check into YC on Wed 08/27 to vacation with my DD and her fam, then will move over to CR on Sun 08/31 for the Experience Conference and NOJ. Love love love this time of year and our annual return to the CR and all of its magic :lovestruc
I hope you have a great vacation and cooler weather:)

Hi
I am going to the CR for my upcoming trip in December for one night & then going on to the WL & then over to the BWI.

I was able to book under the military discount the standard king size bed club level on the 14th floor. As I looked at the floor plan that was in the first post on this thread. It shows only 2 rooms with the king size bed facing the MK. So given that I know I got the MK (also talked to the IPO & a manager at the CR and was told that as well) I requested a certain room.

My question is hope that the 14th club floor will be a good choice. Or trying getting a pass holder room rate at the Grand Floridian ? Those choices are outer buildings and Sugar loaf rooms.

So any help will be appreciated & yes I read this thread but really didm' find too much on what my concerns. Thanks:goodvibes
I've only stayed on the 12th floor, but I'm sure you'll like the 14th as it's smaller and less crowded. You will have access to both lounges and amazing views. What's there not to like?!

If anyone is looking for a Contemporary Resort Garden Wing, garden view standard 12/9-12...just cxl'd our reservation...we decided to stay at Poly instead!
I hope you have a great stay at Poly. Aloha!

Here is a picture of the mussels appetizer from CG:

We had a great time! The app was plenty enough for me for dinner. Dd got California roll and said biggest she has ever seen.

I was worried after reading so many poor reviews last year. Our server was awesome too:)
Glad you had a great meal and server at CA Grill and thanks for posting your photo. You'll have to plan a trip back with your DD soon:)

Hello all! Staying at Bay Lake Tower for the first time in March 2015. My husband and I will be there with six of our children, including a two and four year old. I am concerned about the balcony doors. Does anyone know if they have latches at the top of the doors that little ones cannot reach? We normally stay at the Poly, and they have them there. Haven't heard anyone mention them here....

They are the same as Poly. From POST 16:

We are now back home:confused3

Had a super vacation, aside from ds being poorly.

Loved the contemporary-was everything I imagined it to be.

Thanks for all the kind wishes for ds-he's now tucked up in bed watching TV.:)
Good to hear your DS is better now and you loved CR.

Hi All!!

We leave in 12 days for our FIRST stay at CR!!! :cool1: It is a Room Only Passholder Rate, and I am going to call today to pay the balance in full, and I wondered if that is the best time to make a room request?

We are staying Atrium CL--Standard Room. So, maybe room request isn't even necessary! Any tips or thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you all so much!!
You can make a room location request anytime after booking. Make sure that the request is in your reservation about a week prior to arrival. The Room Assignor usually assigns your room 3-5 days prior to arrival.

If you have a RO booking, you don't have to pay the balance until you check-in. You only have to pay the first night's room rate/tax when booking. But, you can still call to add a request. Did you book a Standard View which is a Bay Lake View? If so, some like to request a high floor for a more commanding view and some prefer to be away from CM so they are less likely to hear the Celebration Song music.

Hi There
We will be staying at BLT in a two bdrm villa in November and need a full size crib for my one year old GS. My daughter prefers not to use a pack n play for him. I am hoping someone has some information regarding the hotel having cribs or renting from an outside vendor.
This will be our first stay at BLT and our grandchildren's first visit to WDW :cool1: we are very excited!
Thanks so much for your help.
What an exciting trip of firsts!

We'll be back at CR Oct 11-16!! :)
Congrats and I'll add your dates to the Log-orail

Welcome to the thread and I'll add your dates, too, Jen.

 mickeynut1! Hope you're having a great weekend:)

My baby is now 11 so its been 10 years since I've used them but I used A Baby's Best Friend (www.abbf.com). I recommended them to a friend who used them 2 years ago. We both had great service from them and clean equipment. :thumbsup2

Chiming in I used them just under 2 years ago for a citi mini double stroller and some horizon milks. Everything was waiting as they said it would be. My only tip is that you have to put everything back in the plastic it was delivered in so be observant of how you get it out! I neatly muttered some in magical phrases trying to wrestle that beast back into the bag while rushing to get on the tragical depress to head to MCO!
113 days until our stay!

Thanks, WDWKOOK. You do a great job with this thread!

2 weeks from today, we will be there!!:cheer2: I am so excited!! Just a random question- on arrival day, I had planned to just hang out at the resort, maybe hit the pool and eat a dinner at Contempo Cafe. It is a normal Wishes night at MK, and I know there is an observation deck where they can be seen, but how about other locations? We will be staying in the Garden Wing, so no view from our beds :(. When we stayed at Poly, we watched them from the beach. Is that possible at CR?

Has anyone ever seen the pool bar open late? I thought I read somewhere it closed at 7 while the pool closes at 11....anyone had any experiences with this?

Booked our trip for Aug 2015 at CR today....10 days in TPV room. We stayed at Poly last summer and had an incredible experience. We wanted to try CR to compare it to see which one we like best..but I'm nervous we will end up missing the Poly. What do you guys think in regards to comparing the two resorts? I'm really excited to be at CR, because it is a resort I've always wanted to try!

I booked my stay at the CR a month ago for June 2015. I'm hoping there will be a CR/BLT 2015 thread to count down our days until our vacations and see who is coming and staying when. :teacher:

I go between all the mono resorts, BLT,cr, gf,VGF and poly!

My favorite is always the one I have booked next;)

They all have strengths and weaknesses.

For cr the strengths: That view!!!! Being able to walk to/from MK , I enjoy looking over balcony wall in hallway overlooking the main concourse, modern theming, separate toilet area, the lighted closets(like poly) and the lighted tile tv stand thingy, the pools are so less crowded, nice beach area also not crowded, easy access to poly and gf for meals, shopping or strolling the grounds, one mono stop to transfer TO Epcot, quick boat to WL also to explore/eat, when in tower all amenities enclosed which is nice in bad weather/hot/cold, good QS and did I mention that Viewprincess:

Weaknesses: going to pool from tower is a distance when all wet from pool, have to use an elevator(if claustrophobic ), not as much lushness of grounds but modern and pretty still. Price(a GV room at poly is usually much less than a cr TPV) , the sink area is inside the bath so if showering the family really can't access sinks(vs gf,BLT, VGF they are separate).

I would definitely recommend trying it! Visit poly if you miss it! I feel like I am staying at all of them when I am there, you just sleep at one and plat, eat, shop them all:beach:

Are there accessible inputs on the tv in the garden wing to hook up a mini dvd player for movie watching?

Family trip planned later at the end of this year. Staying at BLT- one group in a 2 bedroom Lakeview and the other group is my two young nieces (4.5 years old and 23 months) with their parents in 2 bedroom Theme park view. My only concern is the 2 bedroom dedicated villas and the lockout 2 bedroom villas. Wanting 2 bedroom dedicated. Anyone have any experience with this?

Coming to you live from the CR. We moved over here after 4 lovely nights at the YC. Love the smell in the lobby here; makes it seem like we've come home. Had a great surprise this afternoon upon check-in: MK view!!! Love seeing the castle; hearing the train, and can't wait to watch Wishes from balcony. Life is good here at the CR

I can't compare the CR to the Poly as we've never stayed at the CR, but like you, it's a resort I want to try. The Poly is amazing as it's our favorite, but I'm sure you will have a great time and will find plenty that you like about the CR during your stay :wizard:.

I can't answer your question, but hopefully someone else will be able to help :flower3:.

I don't have any experience with BLT, but wanted to say that I hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

We will be there in only 4 days!! OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you see the water parade from TPV rooms?
When do they actually assign rooms? Has anyone had any luck calling the resort directly for a room request?

Rooms are assigned 2-3 days out. You can't call the resort itself. But you can call the main reservation line and add any room requests to your reservation. If you're 4 days out, I would call today.
