The construction in the main tower building was completed in late October. At some point, the rooms will be renovated in the garden wing. If you're going to the Magic Kingdom, the quickest way is to walk. From the CR, the monorail will stop at the TCC, Poly, and Grand Flo before the Magic Kingdom stop. When leaving the MK, I'd take the monorail. The Contemporary will be the 1st stop on the monorail system.

That sounds like a win-win for our situation. I thought about booking at the Yacht Club, but I love being able to walk to MK. We spend more days there, than the other parks. Thanks for the advice!

Anyone know whether the boats have resumed to wilderness lodge? The website indicates they might have - I wanted to visit whispering canyon during our visit in late January.

We are in the same boat. Get it lol. I know. That's really lame. We are also waiting for the boats to start back up for the same reason. Someone on the WL page said they aren't running as of a couple of days ago.

Are they going to be the same theme as the A-Frame? Or updated differently?

Have reservations for next month. Would have been at CR, but because of the desecration of the Incredibles theming we went elsewhere.

Ugh. I hate what they’ve done to our previously favorite resort’s rooms.

Sorry, not sure if I missed it. Seems like the Garden Wing rooms have not been updated yet? If so, any idea when? We are coming in August. Not a deal breaker if not done yet, but would be nice (esp the washroom space)

I was told they would be now/right around now. They may have started already, I haven't been by in the last month to see. for sure. But roughly a winter-early spring closure just going by previous room availability online. August should be fine unless they have some material delays, I would imagine.

Hi! I had a couple of questions about BLT in the Deluxe Studio. 1) is there a fridge? We have medical supplies that requires refrigeration. 2) Any chance of seeing fireworks from the Lake View rooms?

I was watching some vlogs showing room tours and there are mini fridges. Also it showed that some of the lakeview rooms do have a view of the fireworks. I think it depends.

Thanks! I'll have to find out if those are legit mini fridges or "beverage fridges" which do not keep cold enough; a lot of hotels have switched to those recently.

Not sure how good the view of it is from the rooms but you can see it from the Contemporary area for sure. Hopefully someone else can help you with the fridge.

I just had my TA book a Garden Wing room for the July 4th weekend. Weirdly enough, CR is included in the AP discount that dropped today. Only 10% off but I'm shocked it's even that much. I'm considering GDT or Dolphin as a backup/alternative in case I change my mind, but figured those rooms would go fast and snagged it while I make up my mind.

I was at first disappointed when I saw the Contemporary wasn't included in the general discount but searched my reservation anyhow and saw the AP discount. It took $175 off my two nights at the Contemporary tower room...very psyched!

No, CR guests cannot use the BLT pool, although BLT guests can use the CR pools.

Note, they are allowing CR guests to use the BLT pool while CR’s feature pool is closed for renovation early next year.

And to add, yes, from a CR Tower water view room you’ll have a great view of the EWP.
