Do we think the entire tower is going to open by end of September/October 1st?

WDW website has the following listed regarding the Contemporary: "Please pardon our pixie dust as we update our Guest rooms and the first floor Lobby at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. From July 16 through late September 2021, front desk and concierge services will be located on the second floor."

Does anyone have any recent experience with how long of a wait it takes to pick up bags from Bell Services before getting on DME? I've only ever experienced a line once and that was over at Pop, but have never used Bell Services at CR before.

I'm debating going to MK on our departure day (which means I need to change our tickets) and trying to plan timing to see if it's worth it after factoring in to be ready 3 hours before the bus .

At CR currently it would be a low time because only the GW is open. Oct forward you can expect 5 mins sometimes 10 if its busy.

Thanks so much! This is perfect. We have a reservation in less than 2 weeks for a long weekend, so even at 10 minutes wouldn't be bad at all.

Anyone have recent experience with the Garden Rooms? Concerned about cleanliness, since a lot of reviews say they feel really old. Are any of the Garden Rooms updated recently? Our trip is in 2 weeks and I'm hoping some issues with construction have improved by then.

Our main draw to the Contemporary is the walk to MK.

Stayed in a garden view deluxe over the summer. The room appeared very clean and we had no qualms about that. It was worn and definitely needed a spruce up, but it was things like threads on the cushions, nicked furniture, some carpet threads. It still seemed clean though. Something like the redone rooms at YC definitely feel fresher, but don’t worry that it’ll be like a rundown motel or anything.

We just checked in at BLT in a 1BR unit. For the record, the coffee maker in the unit is a "mr Coffee" type. For some reason I thought I had read that they were Keurings.

Also, we are looking at the back side (lake side) of the Contemporary and can see that the renovations are on-going.

BLT is DVC they have mr coffee.

The Contemporary Resort is a deluxe hotel, they have keurigs.

You can use CR pools and hot tubs FYI . The Cr resort can not use BLT pools and hot tub.

Any questions, just ask someone here will know usually.

Thanks for the latest internal pictures. Looks like they are planning a big reveal of the new hallway graphics all at once.

Your previous image of the Bay lake side of the exterior show the ongoing work on the "Wave" soon to be Steakhouse 71 and the main lobby work.
