For example do you arrive on or before 9/26?

The had nothing in the main tower to offer so they offered the Grand at a very nominal reduction.

Anyone else being told their room at CR for the 50th is not going to be available? I had CR TPV CL booked and now Disney is saying it won't be ready in time.

On a Facebook page I follow, someone mentioned being moved from CR TPV to Poly TPV due to construction not being completed. They were scheduled to arrive 9/20.

If they are giving you a non-CL room for a 'very nominal reduction' it's not really a fair exchange. Were any other options offered?

otoh if they gave me GF RPC for a nominal reduction I would be ok. Location to MK not as good but CL better.

ok, they are not offering Sugarloaf CL anytime soon so they are giving you RPC access with an outer building TPV. Which isn't optimal but I would take it, along with the reduction in price.

I suppose you could counter with non-CL TPV with a bigger reduction in price but I think the lounge access will be valuable during that busy week.

Yikes. We had an atrium club TPV for the 50th, as well, but we moved our res over to GF after the room reveals.

Hmm, I’m not sure what I’d do. On one hand, I’d be happy to get CL at GF, but I would be a little upset about not being in the main building.

CR has been posted for quite some time its return of cl at CR starting9/26. That is why they are being moved.

Too soon to tell. They say late September. My guess all the tower opens 9/26.

As usual with disney, its wait and see

Oh I will be at GF cl 9/29. It really is a nice cl. I hope you enjoy it. Follow along on the CL thread and GF thread. Lots of ppl will post current info if needed..

Also the TPV actual view is better from outerbuilding vs the main building. The outer buildings are closer to mk. IF view was important that is a good thing.

On the Cali Grill page it says it's a special dining experience for the 50th anniversary and will be available starting Oct 2. We'd been speculating about just how expensive that would be.

Hmm.. that is not how I interpreted the 'California Grill is currently unavailable for bookings after October 2 as we create a special dining experience for the 50th anniversary celebration of Walt Disney World Resort. '
I have actually taken that to mean that 'we are not allowing reservations after Oct 2 right now because we will be starting something new for the 50th anniversary on that date and it will be fixe prix and expensive, so we don't want anyone to make reservations past that date right now until they know what they are actually getting into.' I never read that to be 'we'll be closed from Oct 2 for a while'.
I cannot imagine that they would close the Grill right at that peak crowd level, that would be incrediably poorly timed.
