Disney's Computer System - Dining Reservations

Does anyone else have this problem? I have to phone in daily to book our ADR's for July - and each day I call they can't seem to find me in the computer. It takes forever....I am not blaming the poor CM's who are friendly and trying their best. Why am I not in the computer? Does that make any sense?

Then after 10 minutes of not finding me and searching and the computer is slow, I give the confirmation number for a previous day's reservation and they look me up but the information is all wrong....like phone number, etc. The name is correct though (thankfully)

Does any one else share my pain? I have one more day to call for and I must say I am dreading it. Definitely worth the money to stay on site in the future.
 
If you don't have an onsite reservation (assuming you don't if you're calling every day), I'm pretty sure everything is tracked by your phone #. This has been a mess for us in the past - we have changed our phone # with Disney repeatedly, only to have them still showing an old phone number we used to have. No matter how many times they changed it (the CM on the phone), it never seemed to stick. I'm guessing your problem may be something similar.

The sad part - I think they finally got our current phone right in their system in the last few months. A few weeks ago - we switched from Comcast to Verizon and got a new #. I'm entirely afraid to even try to address it with WDW!

Oh no! that's brutal - I share your pain.

They always ask me my last name and first name and then zip code...and they seem to search that way. Hopefully we never move...although if we do, they can't find us regardless. ;)

WHy do you have to keep calling, don't you get to book out 10 days on your first "open" day?????????????

Unfortunately we are staying off site....at a timeshare for $173 for the week which means I must be punished by calling every day...at the 90 day mark. It does pay to stay onsite with the 90 day + 10 rule....but this timeshare was too good of a deal to pass up.

One more day....one more day....hopefully I will have some magic tomorrow and they will actually be able to find me....:laughing:
 
With the new system if you are not staying on property you should be looked up by first & last name and zip code...there is no other way to do it. There are some new home agents that just started so it is very possible you are getting them...sorry!

407-939-7707 will get you to group dining and until there is no such thing as group dining, 26 May, you will speak directly with a CM.

Thanks! That does help clear it up....wish there was a way for them to retain the information in the system somehow. It doesn't seem to stick for some reason. I definitely feel their pain, I can tell how much more work it is for them to have to look me up, not find me, and then enter in all the information again. Thanks for the other phone number - I appreciate it! One more day for me....:cool1:
 
They seem to have trouble finding me at times, also. At first we were staying offsite but now have switched and since I now have a resort confirmation #, it has gone more smoothly in tweaking my ADRs.

However, I did find it interesting that although I have been the only one in my household calling about ADRs and then finally booking the onsite resort, the resort confirmation was put in my husband's name. :confused3 Not sure how that happened since we both have names that are gender specific, so it couldn't be that the CM thought he was talking to my DH instead of me when I listed our names out for the resort reservation. It isn't a huge deal, but the first time I called after I made the reservation to try (yet again :rolleyes1 ) for CRT, the CM told me that the reservation was under a different name when I gave her mine.
