Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I would love your thoughts on YC CL! It's been a few years since we stayed there.
I was just there for two nights and have mixed feelings. Previous experiences there have been 100% positive, but this time was different. We had lots of difficulty finding seats in the lounge - especially around dinner time and during breakfast. Guests were parking themselves at a table for hours, drinking wine & socializing, treating it like their own personal bar. The bartender cart was parked right in front of two longer tables & was really awkwardly placed. Guests & bartender were starring at each other - it was weird.
Yes, I know it was a RunDisney weekend, but shouldn’t they plan for that so all guests can enjoy the CL perks ( which we ALL paid for)? We ended up getting trays & eating in our room - again, awkward.

Employees were great, mostly. Housekeeping was awesome. And you can’t beat the YC location, despite all,the scaffolding right now.

IMHO, they need to enlarge the lounge and maybe add a separate bar for CL. YVMV, of course.

Easy to get beverages .

With outdoor construction the windows all covered with that “frost” stuff. Felt too enclosed and balcony not available .

Food to me was meh. Gf and Cr have more for breakfast and evening .

However I really liked the desserts. A nice assortment .

I think somebody here said it before but to pay all that $ for a corn dog? There was only one hot appetizer and I guess Mac n cheese works for all .

We went out to dinner because there was not enough to call a meal. What they had was good at least.

CMs were all friendly .

Thanks for the review. Shame about the windows and the balcony—I always enjoy sitting out there, especially at breakfast.

Thanks for the review! I love the Yacht Club, but agree that the CL lounge needs to be bigger for
the amount of people it serves. For about the same amount of money, I would always pick the Innkeeper's Club over
YC CL.

Delayed post - I did a quick 2 nights in a king room at CR Tower Club a little over a week ago - wonderful room and balcony, wonderful CMs, great food. A few things had ben tweaked since I was last there, and there was a super-yummy new dessert (hazelnut crunch cake get in my belly!), but I didn't take pictures because it wasn't notably different, and I'm booked to be at CR Atrium in mid-April for more nights. Great stay!

I'm still stalking to get GF in April, but we're headed to Asia tomorrow for 2 1/2 weeks, so I'll be powerless if something pops up then anyways. I got suckered into going with DSis for a few days in August (there will be no sharing of the room this time, no no no), however, and there's a GF RPC bounceback available, so I'm planning to grab that today.

Hope everyone is doing well!!!

Thanks for the review. Glad you had a nice stay. Any other menu tweaks you remember at breakfast or apps? Enjoy your next trip. 😃

Glad that you did indeed get the Tower room, and Good luck on your GF BB try.

I wish someone would make a "***********"-like resort room searching tool. This girl would pay good money for that service!

One major reason CL is such a ridiculous expenditure for me is that I don't do breakfast - but it looked the same when I rolled through to get morning coffee and/or mimosa-hold-the-juice. Breakfast there has been solidly good ever since they ditched those coddled eggs, but it's not as swanky as GF. Apps - memorable stuff was the steak with chimichurri mushrooms (not new) and there was a yummy hot honey chicken, I think it had rice - tweaked, but not new, I believe. I think the charcuterie at CR and GF are the best of the bunch. Sushi, of course, but nothing new - veg roll every night and then alternating tuna and shrimp roll. Unless I can get GF for April, or maybe BWI, I'll be back and will be better about pics. CR really does have a nice spread.
