Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

The nice thing about GDT CL is they print the menus. This was Thursday’s menu when we were there last month. Pretty sure it should be the same.
Oh good call, I didn't catch that it does appear to repeat from week to week, I got stuck on the fact that it didn't repeat every 4 days lol. Your Thursday menu matches my experience last week as well.

I was absolutely, positively, never ever going to pay those new Disney CL prices- and then I did.

Welp, I’m headed back to GDT CL and I’m excited to request my 4 shots of wine to fill a glass!! It’s not until Fall but we (me & sis, parents) liked GDT CL so much last year we’ve gone and booked it at almost (baby discount on one night) rack rate for Fall. I feel like I caved somehow but ultimately I do not care. I’m excited. We did some #DisneyMath and it made splurgy sense :teacher:
LOL, I read this after I did some Disney Math and changed my reservation this morning. My new favorite phrase is now "splurgy sense"! WL Club Level May 10th - 15th, here we come!

It's been a minute since I have stayed CL. What are the benefits of staying CL now. I loved the fast pass benefits from years ago. Is there anything like that now?

No, you no longer have the chance to buy extra FPs. Benefits are lounge access and access to Disney Signature Services for planning (albeit they can’t really do much you can’t do yourself).

Back to moving around reservations again and driving myself crazy. Now doing a split stay during spring break- can do any of the following options
1) Grand Flo RV CL (4 nights) /Poly TPV CL (3 nights)
2) Grand Flo RV CL (4 nights) /Riviera one bedroom (no CL) (3 nights)
3) Grand Flo RV CL (4 nights)/Contemporary RV CL (3 nights)
4) Beach club (deluxe room non-club or RV CL room) (2 nights) /Poly WV CL(5 nights)
5) BWI RV CL (2 nights) /Poly WV CL (5 nights)
6) YC turret suite (one night)/Poly WV CL (6 nights)

It's funny that you asked that. I feel like I'm either completely missing something or the other benefits are so light - they're almost just there in name only. It's really just the lounge offerings from my perspective. There's a dedicated desk, and it's great, but I'm not sure how that's such a huge perk when you never stand in line more than a few minutes in the lobby. And I've been sent to the lobby more than once for things they couldn't do in the lounge. You may get a little pixie dust here or there for something by the CL staff. But that can happen from the front desk staff, too. Even the turn-down service (which I love) is very hit or miss. I've even asked about it at check-in to make sure they're still providing that and they confirmed that I will receive - and I didn't get it.

I love CL, but to me perks are purely the lounge offerings. Am I missing something that others find really beneficial??

For me it's having the extra space the lounge offers, the ease of grabbing a glass of wine for the evening, and a great breakfast before heading out to the parks.

For us — along with the F&B which is obviously great - it’s the staff which keep us coming back. It’s not necessarily that we’re given any extra pixie dust above and beyond club level offerings, but it’s the willingness of the club staff to accommodate however they can.
Two examples from this past week:
Spending lots of time in the club, the staff got to see how much my 9yo loves her mocktails, and so they offered her the unique fun of taste testing one of the upcoming Valentines Day mocktails. She was in heaven.
We rushed into the lounge one morning at 6:30 to grab my husband a cup of coffee as we ran off to catch a 7am fishing excursion. Breakfast wasn’t out yet, but one of the CMs insisted on hurriedly making us to go boxes of pastries to take with us on the boat.

These sort of encounters truly make the experience worth it for us!

The intangible feeling of being pampered/elevated experience/special(I know we're not THAT special but still). Also agree with PPs it's having the space and relaxed vibe especially breakfast. Will be back at AK Kilimanjaro in a few weeks and I can't put a price tag on walking out of my room and right into the lounge for a coffee, wine, or snack and bringing it back to my balcony to watch the animals. (Insert Take My Money Meme here)

I would do all of those. However I do like a boardwalk area/ mono split. I book my rides heavy at HS/epcot then MK and AKL.

So beach club /poly is what I’d pick. Request 1st floor for poly wv cl. The patio space is nice. 2nd floor does not have a balcony. Well unless you have a scooter or stroller etc and want to be on the floor with the lounge then request 2.

BC I usually do non CL. However I don’t eat breakfast. If your family likes to eat before heading to parks then CL is better. YC/bc food options just are not that good imo.

Oh I hadn’t had my coffee yet. I would do BWI/ poly split because I enjoy BWI more. However for pools BC is better for most.

Thank you! It will be hard to give up GF, but to be honest it is insanely overpriced. No option is easy! We do love the lounge for breakfast- my kids weren't crazy about YC and actually like BWI better but not as much as they like poly/GF :)

As much as I like Poly Cl dh and I loved the Poly Tower studio TPV. The room is just so family friendly. We did wailulu at night or lunch and Kona to go for several meals.

At fireworks time I’d grab drinks to go from Wailalulu to go line and take up to the room.

No it’s not but having a sofa and a seating area with table during the day made the room feel huge. Also I had 7th floor and views were gorgeous!

Yep I messed up and didn’t realize dd was running 3/1 so I needed another night. Couldn’t find anything not rack rate. Also realized I could not just uber bags to next resort I’ll have the baby myself and I won’t have a car seat. Moving from BC to YC should be doable.

(After dd arrived to YC after race I’ll just walk to bc and uber the bags to YC. Should be fast and easy!)

Yea for YC CL & completing the tour, lol! You might want to talk to bell services at BC. I know you won’t want to wit ll day for luggage transfer, especially with the baby. But I would ask if they transfer it themselves or use the whole luggage transfer system. I’ve only moved between those resorts once. I seem to remember they just did it themselves & it didn’t take as long as normal luggage transfer does. If you have that little cutie with you, they might just go ahead & do it right away for you. Or maybe CL at YC can arrange to have it brought over. I have been receiving prearrival phone calls from YC CL CMs the last few trips. That might be something to ask about.
