They didn’t have the meatballs anymore this June. I did have them last year though. I can report that the meatballs come directly from Chef Mickey’s though, so you could still get them if you went there.

Aw man, shame about the meatballs. It probably doesn’t really matter anyway, we’re at only at CR for 4 nights & we have dinner ADRs at Narcoossee’s & Steakhouse 71 on 2 of them. If my husband needs more, we can always grab some quick service. Thanks for the information!

Your ADRs sound good. I do think they have some sort of meatball sub sandwich on the menu at Contempo cafe for lunch/dinner. I’m sure it must be the same meatballs, but I think they have some different t toppings on it like olives and banana peppers.
I wish CR CL would post their menu each day too. I felt silly texting them each day for the menu to plan our day out, but they were really nice about it always.

We had dinner at the castle today for my granddaughter. Last time there were no princesses roaming the dining room, but tonight they were all there and she was thrilled. Plus, she just turned 8 and she got the cupcake with a candle and everyone singing HB. I love making her happy!

Fun story, I just tested positive for Covid. I’ve been masking most places indoors but got lazy a few times and that, apparently, was enough. If you’re coming here soon…I’d recommend masking, honestly. I’d heard that there was a lot of covid around before we came.

Aw, no! That stinks. I am selective about when to wear them but this reminds me to throw some in my park bag right now. I hate being sick.

Oh no, I’m sorry! I’ve been reading rates are up all over, one article expected this wave to be the highest since 2022. My daughter had it last week. She hadn’t been anywhere but work & assumes she got it there, even tho no one else admitted to being +. She lives with her boyfriend & he never got it.

We intend to mask on the planes & in crowded places. We have table service every day. I might have to rethink a few of those, like Le Cellier. It’s so crowded in there. Have you noticed more people are masking?

I hope you don’t get too sick, your family stays well & you recover quickly.

There is hardly anyone masking. I think I’ve seen less than a dozen masks. And by the way, absolutely no judgment to anyone. I just wanted to throw it out there because this isn’t a super fun way to vacation. I admit that’s the reason I didn’t mask all the time…I felt weird. I was much more diligent the last 2 years when we’ve come and didn’t get sick on those trips.

I’m not horribly sick…it’s just annoying, and I get a terrible cough with every upper respiratory infection. But fortunately, this seems much more mild than the first time I had it (Feb 2023). I’m praying that my husband and son stay well. We will be starting our drive home to Illinois on Saturday and we need at least one healthy adult…

I haven’t been following this thread for quite a while for a variety of reasons. However, I recently found out I won a D23 Sweepstakes that included a 4 night club level stay (amongst other amazing things)!! We booked fairly quickly due to kid’s schedules and it’s coming up August 1st at the Grand Floridian RPC. We’ve stayed there before, but not since Feb 2020.

So is there anything new with RPC that I should know, or any changes either good or bad I should be aware of? Any new advice or things to watch for or ask for?

I got a call from someone from the RPC last Tuesday and she chatted for quite a while about details of the schedule and asked if I had any questions. I’ve only gotten a pre arrival call a couple of times in the past (and never from RPC), I thought it was a nice touch and she was actually friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, they are very difficult to get. I believe there are only 10 rooms in total.

yes, I know. I am looking for the name of websites that rent out confirmed reservations of AKL Club rooms reservations.
I understand they are rare as hen's teeth now that people snatch them to rent out.
