Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

If traveling within the U.S., request a pickup at least two hours before your flight departure
When we used Minnie Van to the airport in December they wouldn't let us select the time for pickup, and only scheduled it for 1.5 hours before our flight. Definitely made us nervous cutting it so close, we tried to get an earlier pickup, but they insisted that 1.5 hours was enough. Fortunately we were flying out of terminal C and all have precheck, so the crowds weren't bad there and we didn't have a line for security, but for terminal A and B I'd be super worried about such a late pick-up time.

Hopefully they've updated that since December, or maybe we just got an unknowledgeable person who didn't know they could update the pick-up time, but I'd definitely prefer having an earlier pickup!

Heading to WDW next week, I have already booked Tiffany Towncar, but Im now interested in the Minnie car service from and to the airport. What is the cost for 4 adults and 1 child?
It's $199 flat rate. When I booked they asked how many adults and children and if we needed carseats and/or boosters, as well as the amount of luggage. We only booked it one way to WDW as I will call an Uber on the way home so that we are not tied to any schedule and can get a car when we are packed and ready to go!

Tiffany Towncar is about half the cost of a Minnie Van. We had wonderful service with Tiffany last fall and are using them again in September.
I’m keeping our reservation with Tiffany. DH doesn’t want to pay that much for the Minnie Van.
Plus, we use a limo service going to and from our local airport. I do see his point bc we are retired.

If anyone is staying onsite soon and thinks they'll be back, definitely look into doing a bounceback. We checked out yesterday and I called today. I was able to have my pick of CL (except poly), all at 40% off, eventhough the flyer says 35%. Weirdly enough, WL wasn't showing availability online for CL but I was given that as an option too. It was actually cheaper to book the WL CL vs booking a regular room with a discount and adding the CL once we checked in.

Another interesting thing, we are meeting friends in the fall at ASMu. No values or moderates were available with the bounceback but all the CLs were. There's still lots of availability at values and mods with other discounts, though.

I truly do not understand Disney's rationale in discounting rooms these days.

Thanks for sharing. Can you share roughly what dates or timeframes you were looking at with 40% CL (that’s great!).

Give yourself some time. On my last trip, I waited for the first Uber, which cancelled after about 10 minutes. Second Uber, same thing. Had to wait for a third Uber so it took more time to get picked up than I expected. Could have been because there were delays on one of the highways and they gave up.

Interesting because when I called, the discounts weren't as good, there wasn't as much availability, and only the higher level CL rooms were available (for ex CS deluxe CL but not regular CL and for January 2025, only BWI Garden Cottage was available). Sounds like people are not booking at their crazy CL rack rates.

I also got a survey about BB after I booked a BB. Asked me what I was looking for (save money, trying new resort, etc) when I booked the BB. This might be the start of good CL BB offers for a bit.

ps also maybe they heard about Trish's MYOCL and know they have competition :smickey: I can imagine executives sitting at a long table discussing MYOCL. "It's a real problem..."

Same, and I also like Elex Transport. I am always nervous about rideshare to/from the airport solo, although Lyft recently made a change that allows the request of a female driver, but more than that, I’ve been burned by no-shows and surge pricing for airport runs.

I have a split stay in Aug - AKL MYOCL (sweet AP rate) and CR CL (rack rate, bleah). I am fully calling Disney to try to get my CR room adjusted as BB rate when I’m there!!!

Also, reminding everyone, even if your dates aren’t set in stone yet, book the BB! Grab something, because once you have it, you can change it! I let one go a while ago and am still kicking myself.

Great advice. When you change it, you can increase or decrease the amount of days, correct?

This is hilarious because you know this is true.
What the heck is make your own club level?
Where you bring your buy your own snacks or drinks to create your own CL in your room. Since they've been discounting nonCL deluxe rooms but not the CL, you can buy a lot of drinks and food for the price difference . So many of us have started making our own CL instead of paying crazy rack rate prices.

Just to add to @2vets 's reply to your question.

A couple of things to keep in mind if you want to make changes. You can reschedule your BB to another resort or different time with BB availability. Any days that are not covered in the BB range will be at rack rate but they will still be part of your future BB reservation, and resorts with available BB dates may be limited if you want to adjust days closer to your planned dates.

I think you can change everything. My last one, I called and changed dates and resorts once, then stupidly cancelled. I still feel like a dolt.
If it makes you feel better, I did the same thing. So this past trip I booked two BB offers. The second one is really a placeholder for a stay I may do later. Still need to decide on dates.

To elaborate on another explanation, it also includes dining at lounges and signature restaurants and just paying for your pick of drinks and snacks. Even if you are staying non-CL deluxe, it is still usually much cheaper than CL where drink and snack choices are limited and only at specified times. (And where they might give you a new-CL CM wine pour, the worst :sad2:)

oh boy, heads exploding on the new Lightening Lane Plan Ahead thread
I have been following. It's like a train wreck, I can't look away lol. I will say i keep looking at the tip board and can't believe how certain rides have been unavailable so early in the day.
