Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

GF is hard. I have stayed there a few times a year CL since Covid. Breakfast seems like every other day or 3 rd at the most. It is pretty plentiful.

Midday after the lounge remodel dropped significantly. My Nov 2023 they said new enhanced experience. I was disappointed compared to pre closure May 2023.

Evenings are plentiful but I never seemed to find a rotation. Some things I will recognize from past trips but then some nights there would be one or more new things.

I have stayed at all but YC and have to say GF is the one that does not post a schedule.

I tend to post on the specific resort thread and here if staying cl. Check out GF thread , there will be some other posts for you to check out.

They recently added a freezer with icecream novelties . Some (like me) have posted getting a new welcome drink. It was champagne with lemonade ? Pinkish? I can’t remember other than it was good.

Anything specific you are looking for ? Let us know.

* I’m one of the current pricing has kept me away people. AP discount of 10% is not enough.
Thanks for the info!

We stayed GF CL in November, but I honestly don't really remember exactly what the food offerings were. I just looked through my phone and I guess I didn't take any pictures. I have a vague recollection of a shrimp thing one night and I remember chicken tenders for sure, but that's it. Sorry.
Thanks for your help

We're staying the week leading up to but not including Easter. It's going to be packed for sure but we're beholden to the school schedule
A bonus of holiday weeks, if you can take advantage, is that you usually get extra park hours. The extra PM hours work well with CL, but the mornings can get a bit tight. The middle hours of the day get busy in the parks, but the peripheral park hours are usually great. If possible, take an afternoon nap and set an alarm so you can be back in the lounge for appetizers.

Any time you can zig when the crowd zags is helpful, like not eating lunch at noon (early/late is better), but only choosing options that work for you.

Is this actually a thing? You can just call and ask for a personal discount? If so, I'm pretty annoyed because I've wasted boat loads of money over the years. I never thought to ask for something that wasn't shown on the booking page.
they can't offer a personal discount, but they can check all current offers if you qualify. Like if you have an AP or a Disney Visa- but didn't already check both.

Universal will also do the same.

Marriott also has been willing to check different offers for me when I called. In that case, you might not know all the available offers, because they are not as clearly listed on the website.

I booked two rooms at the Beach Club, one for myself and husband and one for my two kids. The kid's room is resort view, and the 2nd room is club level because that is all that was available when I booked room #2. What are the chances that they'd let me have our 2nd room on the same level as the kid's room (one is over 18 so no issue with kids being alone) and still be able to access the club lounge on the 5th floor?

Also, what are the chances that I can add the two kids as guests on our room and allow them access to the club? Technically we could have had everyone in one room, but we need the two rooms for the extra bathroom and my husband snores which keeps the kids up. I'm used to it!

Thanks for any insight.

I would add their names to your room as well but keep the extra room for the space, pay the nightly fee for the extra adults, and enjoy yourselves! I see nothing wrong with your plan. Club level for everyone! It may get a bit confusion with MagicBand access but I’m sure you’ll figure that out or the front desk can help you out.

I did this once at GF. They were not helpful but did say we could. We ended up with me and dd on RPC reservation because we arrived earlier. Then dd and ds were on the outer building room. They would not change names on res so dh had to be with me to access lounge or his room. Same for dd. She could access lounge but not her room.

Lucky we made it work because I had extra bands. At the time the price difference was negligible with ap discount, there just wasn;t 2 rooms available our dates.

I was hesitant to reply, I don’t want to advocate breaking any rules. I travel to wdw often as a solo, but meet my sister and her daughter. Usually we all book the same room type, CL or not. Once or twice, I have booked CL, and they did not. In cases like this, I will make sure I am booking a room with the appropriate capacity, and generally use an extra band or key card for access. I figure we could address the additions as needed since we are fewer people than room capacity (typically 5), but no one has given us so much as a look. My niece hardly eats, my sister doesn’t drink, and we use it for apps but not meals, so we are kind of a low impact group. To be clear, I make sure we are not exceeding the capacity of the room booked because I am kind of a goody two shoes, and I stress about this kind of thing! I just changed a room res from a king CL room to a 2 queen CL room with higher capacity, just in case, for an upcoming weekend. And I’m still stressing!!!!

ETA: I know, we should all stay in the same room. It would be cheaper. But I doubt we would enjoy traveling together as much, let's just say....

Which club level room would you choose for a 4-night stay for a family of 4 with two teenagers.
A. Contemporary - either resort view or theme park view (my family don't care much about the view)
B. Wilderness Lodge - deluxe room

:thanks:
It really depends what your priorities/preferences are. They are both enjoyable.

Between them: CR is easier/faster access to MK but WL has a fun boat.

WL's pool is a little more fun than CR, but also a little more crowded. The CR quiet pool is just a round pool, but is quiet and peaceful w/view of the lake.

WL has slightly better food, but the way it is served is a little less fancy than CR. WL lounge closes/locked between meals.

Staff at both have been very good over quite a few stays, but WL has slightly better level of service.

Thanks so much to you and everyone who gave advice! If I ask at the front desk to add them, they would do that even though they are both listed on their own room? Also, would they allow me to have a room on their floor, adjacent or connecting to their room, but still have access to the club? Or do I need to be physically staying on the 5th floor to gain access to the lounge?

I wish there was a club room available for them to upgrade to. Maybe I'll just call every day and see if one is available, to prevent the hassle. or I might just downgrade myself when I get there to be closer to their room. They aren't babies and they are fine on different floor, but we have a lot of fun together when our rooms are close by.

Also, I didn't think to bring extra magic bands so they can get into my room! Thank you to everyone suggesting that. But if I add them to the room I wonder if their magic band will open both my room and theirs?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I feel like I've seen where the same person cannot be on 2 reservations. You could add 2 fake people to your room then just give your kids an extra band (of yours) to use for lounge access or if they need to get in your room, etc. That way MDE doesn't collapse on itself for having the same person needing access to 2 rooms and you aren't "cheating" the system by allowing more people into CL than what your reservation indicates.

Truly, the only reason to complicate things would be to allow all 4 of you to access the club level services. If you decide to “downgrade” to non CL, no need to worry about any of this. Without getting too in depth which may or may not get me into a bit of hot water and also assuming both the CL and non CL rooms are both room only reservations, how you’ve dealt with it in the past should work just fine. Make sure the primary MagicBand that your children use is attached to the club level room—it will make everyone’s life a bit easier. They can use their phone to access their room with minor modifications here and there. Maybe, they could request a key card for room access—I’m not sure if that’s still an option. Best of luck—have a great time regardless of what you end up deciding!

You might be able to just add them to Club Level when you arrive. WL is the only Club level that allows you to upgrade your standard resort room to Club Level upon check in (based on availability.) The last person to report they were able to do this said it was an additional $149 a night. Can always ask when you get there, if they say no to allowing them in. Worth it for peace of mind. Enjoy!

Thanks so much. We are all on a package: My husband and I in one room on one package and the girls in the other room on a package. Will that make a difference, not being room only? I wonder if I could just have their primary magic band open our room as well as theirs? Would the CMs even want them up on the 5th floor if they are listed on a different room? I guess I will find out in a couple of weeks! I'll report back in case anyone is interested!

Was it $149 per person to add the CL? Would I be paying more if 4 of us were in that CL room than we are now with only 2 people in there? Thx!

$149 Per Night in the room to add CL, not per person.
Thank you. It's the BC so I'm not sure they'd even upgrade the other room on the spot even if they did have one available. I have to make a decision on whether I want to ask to be downgraded if they have a room available upon check in (that's near my girl's room). If I do, maybe someone will get pixie dusted and get my club room!
