Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I think it’s the lake view room for the Atrium
Club. I noticed the other day that CR changed the wording of a lot of their “lake view” rooms to “resort view.”
I thought this might be what changed as well - “standard” or “lake” view to “resort” view? I wonder if this is Tower?

Ok, so here’s an update. We’ve been trying to grab and hold some stuff for the first weekend in Dec. I have solo CL GF RPC for wed-thurs - described now as “resort view” that can include pool, park, or lagoon (img below). Then DSis and niece come fri-sat, we move to a suite at CR. But it’s the “resort view” catchall that’s unfamiliar here..?

I don’t like that wording! I would rather book and pay for the room view that I want and not have to gamble. Because I’m not lucky. 😁

We have a CR CL Tower 2 queen room booked for mid-May. It appears there are 3 of those rooms - 2 are TPV and 1 is Bay Lake. I want the TPV. I would have gladly paid a little more to guarantee that I get that specific view, but I don’t want to leave it up to chance. Which means I will likely have to keep the 1 Bed TPV Suite even though it’s bigger and not needed but it guarantees the view.

So I feel your pain.

I keep hoping some of this is temporary and based on refurbs and a concern about upset guests not getting expected views or specific rooms during the holiday period while things may still be a little in flux. We had originally wanted to splash out at RPC on a renovated suite, and nothing at all is available over that weekend. Then again, not like that means anything. Disney Cryptic is a language that is ever in flux.

I can read the new CR and GF things.

The resort view that can have 5 people = prior Bay lake view Atrium cl.
‘For suites at CR bay lake view is now resort view.

*However the tower king room at cr says resort view but it 100% has a TPV! They suck. Did y‘all notice that the tower cl rooms all say access to Atrium Club? Nope I have asked and you don’t get to access it you get Tower CL. Also the garden wing rooms all say have a patio or balcony. No again, 1st floor has a patio and not1 room has a balcony. 🙄

For GF rpc they replaced garden view to resort view, It will be the same room assortment just different verbiage,

Yep I really wanted to try the 2 queen tower room but wanted TPV more so moved to the king tower. It’s a smaller room but it’s just me and dd so I’ll deal.

I didn’t even think to look at the room capacity for CR, thanks! I guess that’s the most consistent way to identify tower vs atrium. I don’t trust the pictures…

ETA: Those Tower rooms have said “access to Atrium” for a while. They do suck. For my upcoming stay, I booked Tower king, but an available 2Qs room is also showing, so I requested any nonaccessible TPV room for one or two, and stated I would also be ok with the one 2Q room that fits the description, I think the number is 4913? Someone put up a youtube video of it recently.

Btw, in case it matters to you, one of the 2Q TPV rooms is accessible with push-button door and roll-in shower. My sister was upgraded to it (from garden wing!) a few months ago. I posted about it at the time and included the room number. If you can find a map of the floor, it’s the 2Q that’s farther from the lounge on that side.

Thanks!

We don’t need an accessible room, so that seems like it would make it 50/50 that they assign us to a TPV. Not the kind of odds I’d want to gamble with, so it sounds like we will need the 1 BR after all. Ugh!

We stayed in the 2Q BLV Standard Tower Club this past summer and loved it!! It would have been great to get the TPV room but the lounge is so awesome We were fine hanging there for the fireworks! Additionally, the Tower Club has additional options that aren't available in the Atrium Club and the lounge in general is so much less busy.

My sister was not delighted. I, however, ate alllllll the sushi. That was my intro to Tower Club, and I’m a big ol’ fan. But I also prefer not to have an accessible room, and I hope that doesn’t make me sound insensitive; I’m glad they are there for those who need them, or should we ever need one.

My favorite is how the website lists "Complimentary health club access" and "complimentary newspapers in Club Level Lounge." It has been years since I've seen a newspaper, and has WDW ever charged for health club access? (they haven't in my 10 years of going to WDW)

Oh ya I missed that. Yep newspaper? nope!

Wow, I can’t wait to read a newspaper AT DISNEY 😂! Omg, like, talk about the #1 place you’d never want to see the news (unless it’s weather-related and updated on the 10’s)!

It's not really funny but the CR page was already so full of inaccuracies or sources of confusion (Garden Wing CL Access rooms not in the "Rooms with CL" category, Tower rooms saying they have Atrium access, etc.)... now it's worse. At least add "Atrium" to what is currently labeled "Resort View - Club Level", please Disney.

I get it, we dissect every room, name, word, category, etc in a way managers/decision makers/website copy writers who may have never even been to resort can't or won't do, but geez, it'd be nice if they tried a bit harder for accuracy.

Yea that’s ridiculous. They haven’t even sold newspapers in the gift shops since reopening.

If you want to save some money and still experience a fantastic club with outstanding views, check out Coronado’s Chronos Club. You won’t be able to walk to parks, and because it’s considered a moderate, you won’t have access to EEH, but we tried it in January and loved it. It’s a beautiful resort, and the CL (and the CMs) are top notch. We were doing the MK and HS after hours events, so we didn’t miss the EEH at all, but that could definitely sway your decision. We also had zero issues with bus transportation - except for the day of the marathon, which is a huge outlier, but I know others seem to have not been so lucky.
We are thinking of doing CL at CS. What were the food options like? Was it a three/four day rotation? Just curious. :)
