Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Just poking around for weekend of 12/8/23…WL CL is $1044/night? I didn’t realize rack rates have gotten quite that high…yikes.
Yikes is right. I have rooms booked (GF and CR) for 4 total nights the long weekend before, and the rack rate prices are absolutely obscene. Hope they release some kind of discount! I’ll still go, but it will definitely cut the number of visits I can make since I’m flying out and have to keep buying tix as well until they release APs again - I told my sis I can’t do both Halloween and Xmas anymore with these rates.

Eta: you know, I reread the above. just taking a minute to acknowledge how incredibly fortunate and blessed I am to be able to do these quick but obvs very, very indulgent trips. I work hard, but that’s not unique. They have brought me so much levity and peace during a very difficult family time.

Just got back from yacht club regatta club for 6 days. We had standard view, room 5199. View was great and room was very nice. we have previously stayed poly and AKL club, both I would rank higher than yacht. The staff however, were exceptional! They were kind and helpful to everyone.

I will say yacht club as a resort had some issues during our stay. The pool closed for an entire day, which was inconvenient but it happens. The elevators broke down at least three times , which I found odd. Beach and yacht turned water off for 4 hours overnight , they left a message on phone is room , so we expected it. What we did not expect was the brown water that came out of all faucets, showers, and toilets for a few hours the next morning. A few guests were heard complaining to staff. We did not, it was not the staff’s fault at all. We did not care for the offerings. Our daughter ate breakfast first two days, but then grew tired of the same thing. There were hardly any offerings for small children. She did enjoy the yogurt and chocolate chips muffins, but that was it. If staying in boardwalk, honestly would choose swan and dolphin for same location and benefits for a third of the price. Like I said the staff at regatta were top notch , but not my favorite resort .

Wow, I can’t wait to read a newspaper AT DISNEY 😂! Omg, like, talk about the #1 place you’d never want to see the news (unless it’s weather-related and updated on the 10’s)!
I have been at both WDW and Universal CL's during times of significant national events that were...upsetting, but the lounge had a television running news of the event on one of networks that is known to be politically oriented.

In all three cases, the television had the volume rather audible, and no remote control around. It was kind of impossible to ignore.

Did some tweaking on dd’s Bach party. I was invited for the last night but booked 3 because a dear friend wants me to come to meet her grands from one of her kids. I booked the same resort as dd because they had a suite so they would be out of sight.

Dd and I have been talking and with us all stuck at cr in atrium it’s too close for comfort.

I called the number that orginally moved us from BWI to CR, She remembered the situation. It took at least a half an hour. She could NOT understand what I wanted. At the time they notified me I had 2 reservations. 3 nights and 1 night at BWI cl . I asked to get price protected for just 1 night instead of 3 because when they took away their suite it changed the dynamics.

1st she didn’t get that. I tried to explain that you can’t fit 7 females around that tiny table in the room vs a table in a suite. Therefore the girls will in the the lounge and I won’t be comfortable intruding on their time.

Finally after many explanations I did get my 3 nights changed to 1. However the other thing I asked for was to be moved to Tower cl. The 2 queen std room was available that night. It is pretty darn close price wise to the room they gave me. However after going round and round I gave up. The last thing she said was “ma’am just so you understand the Atrium club level IS IN THE TOWER”. 🙄😂🤪

At that point i gave up. How does people that work for a special group to handle issues not know there are 2 club levels at CR? I even tried to explain but that only made it worse.

*** this is the 2nd time I have been moved and price protected by Disney, BOTH times they were very strict. Once you accept an offer they will not move you again.

In the end I thanked her for changing my dates for me👍 but it took so long and it was so frustrating talking to someone so unknowledgeable. She was very friendly and respectful at least. 😀

I then talked with my friend so I’m now gf 4/29 with her. Then cr atrium 4/30 with the girls then me and dd back to gf for our alone time. I was going to do cr GW 4/29 but my friend wants me close and insisted so how do you say no to meeting grands and having time with a friend?

Next up? Looking to book d23 for Sept event.
I can relate. I've also had somewhat comical conversations about CR as well. In my case the CM kept confusing CR CL Tower Bay Lake view, and Atrium/Tower CL with Bay Lake Tower DVC rooms. For the life of me, I can't understand why they keep using the same names over and over to mean different things. The DVC building should not have been named Bay Lake Tower.

It was funny though, because I kept thinking of the old Abbott and Costello, "Who's on First?" routine.

DH and I have differing political views, and so I’ve become quite adept over the years at accepting a wide array of opinions, but that is not cool for either viewpoint. What a shame. I haven’t noticed this on my visits, but I tend to book it away from TV news, especially in public. And that goes triple for WDW!

Hello!
I have a Garden View club level room at BC booked for an upcoming trip. From the map on Touring Plans I see a few of these rooms a bit smaller than the others. I believe they are 5630 and 5627.

From the description it sounds like there is not a sleeper sofa in these smaller rooms. Which is not an issue as there will be three of us in the room.

However, my 80 year old mom will have a scooter. Does anyone know if there will be adequate room for her scooter if we are assigned one of the smaller rooms? I generally don't submit room requests ahead of time and just get what we get. But if there isn't room for a scooter, I may ask to not be in either of these two rooms.

Thank you!

But they also have the sofa bed, which my daughter said was very comfy
Actually the tower king cl room sleeps 2 and does not have a twin bed. It is so confusing lol. There are king Atrium CL rooms they are just not a bootable category, available upon request. Those DO have the same long orange couch/convertible bed with table like the other incredible rooms have.

Reread my post I kept saying tower without adding the tower “club level“ part. My bad .

@mickeyluv'r ”who‘s on 1st?”

There are some very large rooms on the 5th floor which would be perfect for the scooter. But any of the rooms with a dormer tend to be a little smaller than the normal room.

I would put in a request for a room that will accommodate a scooter. :)

Does anyone have any recent pictures of atrium club level at the Contemporary? Do they still offer chicken nuggets during Hors d'oeuvres?

I stayed in 5630 this past August. You’re correct, there’s no sofa in the room, just the 2 beds. It was my first stay at BC, so I don’t know how it compares to other rooms at that resort, but it may be challenging to have a scooter in there. For my family of 3 (me, DH, and DS who was 6 at the time), it was fine, but we don’t have any extra “equipment,” so to speak.

I attached a few photos of the room and the view from the balcony. They’re not the best but it’s all I have.
