What do you mean about a break in night shows?

I booked regular BWI for 9/27-29 because family will be doing dinners and food and wine. I booked CL CR 9/30-10/3 because I don't think I can deal with crowds all day at MK.

Well I will e seeing you ! I have BWI cl 9/28 then gf 9/29 and Cr 9/30-10/3!

Speaking of useless, my kids had to have a banshee when Pandora opened. Also a blue avatar of them. They were played with at the park and forgotten about as soon as we got home.

The best thing I’ve ever figured out about Flight of Passage is that you can turn off to the right just before the gift shop and exit back into the land without having to go through the building - avoiding the temptation! Fortunately mine have never seemed into those Banshees - thank goodness.

So on our trip last month, my son and I were in the avatar gift shop when a torrential rain started and we were stuck until the rain let up a bit. I think my wife was at the restroom having made that turn to avoid the gift shop. We found a cool looking 1000 piece puzzle and bought it. At home it took the three of us three or four sessions of several hours over about three weeks to put the thing together. I told him he is no longer allowed to pick out the puzzle.

Ds24 was about 8/9 . They used to have PowerRangers at HS during the day, the vehicle would arrive and 4 rangers would head to a designated spot for meet n greet /pictures.

DS wanted a PR flip phone toy. Of course I got it for him 10 mins before the PR’s were to arrive.

We (just me and him ) headed for the line for the white Ranger his current FAVORITE.

SO while we were in line he gets his phone out and “talks” to his PR buddies. I am trying not to laugh. He was so distracted talking to the prerecorded messages he kinda missed the arrival of the PR’s.

However the White Ranger DID see it. Wow, he walked to the end of the line where we were at (late because we HAD to buy the phone 1st) PR’s didn’t talk so he gestured for my son to come forward. The handler freaked out but the White Ranger over and over shook his head and pointed down “I’m starting here!”.

Finally DS got over shyness and approached his hero.

Someone had to notice the boy talking on the phone, made his day, and moms forever happy memory

omg I remember the PRs and going to ToysRUs every day for weeks trying to get the red, green and white rangers for Christmas. Also anyone wearing a primary color and out riding a motorcycle caused pandemonium on car rides. gogo PR! ps I still have a jar full. I worked hard to get those rangers! Funny thing is, I don't remember them being at HS.

So I see that all the 50th merchandise on ShopDisney sold out in minutes, proving that Disney does indeed know what it's doing.

I didn't realize it was even available until your post and then my son said he had ordered a magic band, tshirt, and pin as an AP holder. Last year he wanted some food and wine stuff and we ended up going on ebay and paying twice as much so this year he was obviously prepared!

I don't like buying from resellers but there have been times in the past couple of years where I have paid for the convenience of not having to stalk an item for weeks.

Except for me I won't shame you but I may point out why you don't really need it. Just pointing out some value aspects.

Stop being a good influence

I have a dilemma...I have GF GV booked for the three days before our RPC stay...well I checked this morning and the 1st three days in RPC are now available with a discount... do I switch to RPC or save money and keep GV? I know this is the wrong place to ask that question. I want to do it, but I'm paying a ridiculous rack rate for RPC for three nights...hmm maybe I shouldn't add it all up but just look at each one separately...Ya know, Disney math

I always say switch, I enjoy getting at least a few meals "on the house" in CL, especially if there is a discount (I can't stay away from a discount). I'm sad I don't get to stay CL on my next two trips, and I'm still a little hurt I'm paying rack rate for the first time at Poly this month because it's the only option. Sometimes we have to suck it up and try not to think about it.....then drown our sorrows in the nearest adult beverage.

I had a friend who was trying his best to convince me last night to buy him two new lightsabers when I'm there at the end of the month. He was like "but these two are NEW!! I NEEEEED them! You don't even need to carry them around all day, just send them to the front of the park and then ship them to me....come on!!" and I'm like "you are going to be in Orlando the day after I go home, I thought you were going to HS to get these yourself..." and he was only going to HS to get the sabers, that was the only reason, to get the new sabers because they'll complete his collection (that he's already run out of room for in his apartment). He didn't want to buy a day ticket to do it, and I'm like "is it really that important? I wasn't even going in GE on this trip...." and he's like "it's so important!"

One of the great things I noticed about this - at least in the in person sales - was they are limiting the purchases to 2 of each item per person (used to be 10 per person) so hopefully that will cut back on all the resellers scooping it up!

Yes! My friend that works for Disney went to go buy a couple of things yesterday after she got off work and noticed a real sight at World of Disney, some lady trying to take a ton of the same thing (my friend just said "shirts", not sure which of the shirts or if it was a bunch of several different shirts), a CM comes up and has to explain to the woman she has a limit of 2 per item. The woman was furious, said she had a lot of family members to send to, and the CM is like "I'm sure your family members would appreciate the gifts, but at this time we must limit to two of each item per guest so everyone can experience the magic." the woman just dropped it all and stormed off. The CMs were all like "yeah, sure.....'family members'" I'm not even sure why people re-sell this stuff on ebay for extra money, they'll keep restocking shop Disney.

That would be good, but I’ve seen reports they are limited by SKU - so 2 Small, Medium, Large…various colors, etc.. A few pictures have already gone around (along with the ebay links) of people buying up much more than 2. Hopefully they continue to get stricter with the policy.

Stupid question. If I was to transfer to universal with an uber, how would I know if they have room for luggage? I tried fake booking and only see number of people. I was planning on prebooking a car but my friend suggested uber and said they had no problem getting them a few weeks ago. Thanks.

Alright - you bunch of bad influencers - I switched my 4 nights from Oct 1-4 at Fort Wilderness Cabins, to only 2 nights from Oct 1-2 (cause I can't get closer to MK still).
Then for Oct 2-4, I'm moving over to the AK Club. We're at a 2bd suite in AK Kidani from Oct 4-7, so I rationalized that it will be much easier to switch rooms ;P Plus we can cancel two nights of our golf cart rental at FW as well, so really, it's only $400 more a night. Canceling some dining reservations, and I'll only need to drink about $200 in alcohol - we can do that!

On your check in day - when can you access club level?

Since there was recent talk about this thread being a no judgement zone…. I admit I am an Uber snob. It’s Uber Black SUV for me, despite the cost. Since they are usually professional drivers you tend to get nicer, bigger SUVs, plenty of space for people and luggage, etc. I guess UberXL would also be an option that ensures a larger car hopefully big enough for your luggage.

I’m in the minority on this for sure, but Uber is one of those things I don’t mind paying more for a nicer car/ride experience.
