Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Hi everyone! Please forgive me as only one of my questions is CL related. But you guys are my favorite Disney people so I'm going with it. :rotfl2:

We have a trip planned in October staying Poly TPV. I will definitely try and move it to a CL room if that option happens to come back, however I was wondering if it doesn't is there a decent chance that room type would be in Hawaii building?

Also, my husband and I are coming for a quick 25th anniversary trip (first time kidless :cool1: ) and are wanting to spend a night hanging out at Disney Springs. Do you have any favorite fun atmosphere restaurants you like? Possibly with outdoor seating?

Finally, with this last quick minute trip, we are only going to Epcot and staying at the Dolphin. Should I take a few magic bands with me or will they give us one at checkin? Our tickets came my email.

Thanks for all your help!!

I think this was answered but you won't need MB for the Dolphin trip. They aren't used at all throughout the Swan and Dolphin.

The Boathouse is absolutely fantastic at DS plus the outdoor seating cant be beat. If you are going soon, its a great time to eat outdoors here. Its still warm in the evenings but the humidity hasn't fully kicked in yet.

Hawaii has a pretty large number of TPV rooms relative to the other longhouses by a decent amount.

I’m going to request Hawaii if CL isn’t back, but who knows how they are booking/assigning rooms I guess. :-)

Can’t we use it to get into the parks? I think that’s what we did. I preferred that to having a card which I don’t have anyways,

I found it confusing with the mb works here but not here lol. Dh kept trying to get in the room with it too😅

Oh yes, you can use it for your tickets as long as they are linked in MDE, which I guess they would have to be to make a park res. You had said they were emailed so I was thinking you were just going to use your phone. But know things like charging to your room won't work or using them for payment won't work in the parks. So you would be wearing them all day just to tap them once at the turnstiles.

They also work for the ride photopasses. Without the MB you can't be tagged.

Since my first choice Poly isn't available, I'm torn between YC and WL. End of August. Talk me in or out one of them. We hated BC CL. Staff was not nice to us so that is out and soured me to BC. Thoughts?

For gazillion degree August temps, I vote YC for the pool.

I tend to like WL over the cooler months.

But, sort of splitting hairs with that comment and could wake up tomorrow with the opposite opinion. :-)
Well that was helpful 😆😁 I would definitely choose WL for a Christmas trip. One kid picked YC and one picked WL. Of course they will be happy either way. I love the boat to MK from WL. So relaxing. We will be eating at CM and Ohana (hopefully). So that's a plus. But, walking to epcot is awesome. We will be eating at Yachtsman or Shulas and Topolino's, so that's convenient too. Tough choices 🤪

I love WL in the summer. Sure the dark woods are a bit cozy, but the AC makes it very inviting and there are so many trees for shade about the property that I never feel like I'm left out in a hot parking lot like one feels walking through some resorts.

AKL is great year 'round, but it's also darker and the water features, while there, aren't as prominent as they are in other resorts. WL has the entire lake as a feature in addition to the gyser, indoor feature and 'streams' :)

Cant go wrong with either. WL is cheaper and you can use that $ on food!

Wl can be nice in the summer. The geyser is cool! Also the lakeside bar is really a nice spot to hang out!

I just did 2 YC stays and boy it will be hard to get into the pool over the summer if they keep numbers down.

The pool was one of my concerns. Did you have any problems getting in? WL has a small pool so that concerned me too. We stayed WL before the DVC addition and enjoyed it. I'm hoping they ease up on the pool restrictions.

You could always book a cabana for a couple of pool days to guarantee access (I know YC has them but not sure about WL) and then cancel if Disney starts to ease up on restrictions. I booked one for our upcoming trip over Memorial Day, and it's one of the things I'm most excited about lol! It seems like a lot of people are doing this with things the way they are so make sure to book early on day 60 if you decide to do that!

IIRC only GF, CR, and BC/YC have cabanas. Poly has patios. Not sure if WL has anything.

That's a good idea. I just might do that. I'm sure my husband won't be happy about the extra money lol. I could book it on his golf day😆

Cabanas are not a guaranteed booking though. Several people on these boards have reported calling right at 60 days and they were booked for the entire vacation.

Totally agree! I was terrified that I wouldn't get one! I think a lot of people got the same idea about securing their spot at the pool. Before Covid, I had only booked the ones at Poly because they're such a bargain and so close to the lounge!

😔😔 the lounge and those delicious longboards😔

I just booked YC to make sure I have something. My kids picked garden view over water view. I'll keep checking. I tried sneaking in the GF but they weren't having it lol. I even debated OKW for the golf view for hubby.
