Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

We are looking forward to our Gran Destino CL stay the weekend before thanksgiving. We are planning to go to MVMCP on Nov 24. This will be the only time we go into the parks. Do any of you know if I can make 60 day advance FP reservations for the 4:00-7:00 time when we can go into the park prior to the party?
I just ran into this scenario but for MNSSHP. We are traveling in October with a family member who doesn’t have an AP. Her only park day will be for MNSSHP. I was not able to select FP for her at the 60 days. I’m assuming this is because she only had a party ticket and not a park ticket. In any case, we ended up switching other plans around, and she decided she wanted to go to MK earlier that day so we ended up purchasing a park ticket. Once she had the ticket, I could make FP selections for her.

Edit: we’ll also be at the CSR Gran Destino CL a few nights before Thanksgiving! We arrive the 23rd and leave the 26th for the second half of our split stay. Maybe we’ll see each other there!

We will be there the 24-26th before heading off the spend thanksgiving with my MIL in The Villages, so we will definitely be there at the same time!

Thanks for sharing your experience about the MNSSHP FP booking. I was wondering if we would run into that problem if we didn’t have a day ticket to the park.

You can make the CLFP by calling or emailing your list. I'm still trying to decide which method to use, too.
Here is a link to the CLFP discussion thread that has a lot of info. You might post your question there to get more feedback:

I recently did mine. I sent an email with a spreadsheet and asked if this was possible to do by email then call me when you have them booked and I will give cc info. The next day on my 90 day mark they did call. They had all of mine booed except for 2 issues.

I had 5 days already booked so they canceled 1 day (my arrival day where my dd wasn’t going to be there anyways) . It was easy because they canceled vs me trying to do while on phone.

2nd I still only had 3 days left of FPS to book. I was planning on only doing 3 days cl fp so they did my cl and regular for me.

Then at 60 days I happened to look ( I didn’t know I could) and was able to book all the days I needed in that time period. I had 1 for Aug, 1 in sept and 2 days in Oct to do .

I can only move or change cl passes by calling. The regular passes can be moved yourself but not between 61-90 days prior, call to do that.

Anyone at AKL CL right now? Are all the club rooms renovated? Do you still see signs of construction around the resort? I am going to WDW in less than 5 weeks, currently booked at another resort, but will switch pending your update.
Thank you!

I'm looking for a little help on the best way to request my FP+ using the CLFP. Do you send an email somewhere or call (I don't think I got one of those welcome to club level letters or emails)? Do you just list out all 6 rides and times you would like along with which are CLFP and which are regular FP+? If I call, will they do it while on the phone in case there are any questions/issues with availability or will they just take the info and call back when done?

I'm after my 90 day but still weeks before my 60 day window. Just trying to figure out the best way to do this.

Thanks
IMHO... Check park hours, sketch out your CLFP days for all your FPs, decide which ones you want to control and designate them as normal, the others as CL. Remember normal FP must abide by normal FP rules. I would not wait any longer, sketch it out as soon as you can and get on the phone with DSS. You can do the email bit but I kept running into time problems (bad, like would have thrown most days off by 30 mins to an hour even before lunch) when I booked last week that I was able to solve by turning normal FP into CLFP and sometimes switching the ride order- it just isn’t something I would have been able to do if I hadn’t called in and worked through each day with them. (It’s a stupid system, I should not have had time issues as I called the day my window opened but this is how it works.)

Call DSS. They are happy to help you. If you have a ballpark idea of your FP order it's easiest. The have always worked with me on the phone.

Would someone please kindly do a comparison between GF and BC club level?? Our family's first and only Disney CL experience was at the GF two summer ago. The place was pretty but it was too "up" there for us. I felt the staff there are kinds indifferent and cold. The food offering was okay. I currently have a reservation at BW CL for next summer but I really like the clean looking room at BC. I wonder how the BC CL service is comparing to GF. TIA!

We've done GF/BC/YC/BWI club level. GF is by far the "fanciest"...maybe that's the right word...maybe not. We were probably least impressed with BC....but very impressed with BWI. We've moved from the BWI back to the YC though. I really really like the clean lines of the renovated YC rooms. BWI rooms are tired...old carpeting, etc. BWI CL rocks though because they have the cool chefs that cook. That however causes a few problems..one being that the ventilation needs improvement. I don't like halls smelling like fish. The CL room can become quite crowded and people hang around a LONG time..can be difficult to get a seat. YC/CL just feels fresher, like the rooms. Again, we've never been that impressed with the BC....probably because we MUST have a balcony..and I don't like the drama of having to worry whether we're gonna get one or not. A full balcony is a drop dead deal breaker must have for us.

Hi, all. Checked in to BC CL yesterday. Interesting how everyone’s experience can be so different...outstanding for us so far. Two standouts: great staff and impressed by how substantial the 5pm offering are. Definitely a meal if you want. Happy to answer any questions.

Would love to know the food offering and your experience at BC CL for the remainder of your trip. Have a great trip!!

As of 4 weeks ago:
  • Not all Club rooms have been renovated. You can put in a request for a renovated room, but it is only a request.
  • There were still some minor signs of construction. One wing is closed and there is some equipment parked in one of the corners around the pool. Someone that went right after us (@cakebaker) indicated there was construction right above her room. Our room was at the very end of the hallway. It was a longer walk to the lobby, but it was quiet as a mouse. You can put a request for a quiet room.
  • AKL lounge was great. Delicious food, great atmosphere, and great staff. I would still recommend it.
  • As far as I know, refurbishments will still be going on for at least a few more months.

There was a great deal of noise above me! We were right below the Presidential Suite- don't recall the room # but was on the Kudo Trail side. However, that should be long since done. They were installing new flooring. We were there 6 days and were told it would be going on the entire stay- and it was, but I'm sure they're done by now. That would finish all the construction on the Kudu trail. The manager I spoke with was sure all construction was done on our side, took her a while to figure out what it even was they were doing. We saw no construction at all during our trip and had it not been for the noise, would've never known they were doing anything. Other than that, I loved our stay. It was amazing. I am not a fan of being on a different floor from the lounge, but it wasn't as big a deal as I anticipated. We were probably closer to the front end of the hall, maybe midway and there are lots of shortcut stairways so getting to the lounge was not a big deal.

If I wanted to avoid construction, I'd ask for Kudu trail for sure.

I did a BC/GF CL split in April and had a night and day difference between BC and GF staff. BC CMs were so nice and engaging. They would greet you every time you got off the elevator. They would chat with you in the lounge, but not too much if you weren't interested in talking. I also had a room where you passed by the prep area and they would say hi as I was coming/going. The CMs even recognized my family and would tell when something we liked was out and we were only there 4 nights. BC definitely left a better impression on me than GF SL. I can't wait to return! I will say GF SL food slightly edged out BC CL. Now that the waffles are gone from SL IDK if that would be the case.

I love the decor of BC rooms. The blues are so pretty! However the views from BC are not the best.

Food: for breakfast I find most are pretty similar. Slight edge to gf because of waffles.

Midday I pick gf. The soups are so good! There is enough there for a light lunch.

Evening I would prefer the food at bc. Just a personal pref.

Desserts: gf just has so many options so I give that the nod

Now for ambiance the BC just doesn't do it for me. It feels like a std hotel. GF sl and rpc are more pretty.

I only did bc once and gf close to 10. I would pick gf for location and lounge experience with good food over bc unless a good deal or I needed to be near BW area.

Thats me , Im a mono girl. Lots of other love the boardwalk area better.
