Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

We just got back yesterday and we really enjoyed the lounge. The cast members were all helpful and friendly, and the vibe overlooking the main lobby is extremely relaxing. The hours seem consistent with all the other lounges. Doors close between services, but we were able to ask for drinks when the doors were closed.

The food was good, but they did not have anything like an omelette station that I've read about at other club levels. The only hot option for breakfast was the oatmeal. They always had meats, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, cereals, pastries, fruit salad and whole fruits.

The snacks during the afternoon were fine, but the evening appetizers were always really good, with a nice variety. The beers on tap were also good (Elysian Avatar IPA and Elysian Day Glow while we were there), especially in the chilled glasses.

GADisneyDad's pictures are good. The only change I noticed is that they've taken out the sink and they now put the coffee cups, coffee pots in that spot. They now have a water dispenser next to the Iced Tea, Lemonade, Spa Water and Geyser grog (Apple-cranberry juice with cinnamon). There are also water bottles in the fridge that can be taken with you.

We were also offered mimosas a couple of mornings - I'm sure we could have asked for them at any time.

I would not hesitate to go back, so I think you made a good choice :)
Sounds lovely! Thanks for posting.

I have to say we do love the Poly too! We love the theme and the beach area. So relaxing at night.

We tried to cut it to two hotels but friends invited us to stay with them in their DVC rooms - and we couldn't refuse. The more the merrier. :flower1:

It's been so long since our Poly stay that I can't wait to get back there in Oct :goodvibes.

What great friends to invite you to stay with them! Hope everyone has a great time! :wizard:

Just left WDW after a 7 days, 6 nights stay at WDW. Two nights at Pop Century followed by 4 nights at GF in the Main building.

It was our first club level experience at WDW. Our other club level experience would be at the Portofino Bay resort at the Universals studios in Orlando.

So overall we enjoyed our stay at the RPC. But we would like to try a different resort next time, probably YC or BWI....

Oh, BTW, forgot to mention that we were showered with pixie dust during our stay. We received a surprise room upgrade to Room 4001..... the Grand Suite!!!! :rolleyes1pixiedust:

Thanks for your review. Congrats on the awesome upgrade! Glad you had a great time and enjoyed RPC. We've never stayed at the YC, but I loved BWI and would definitely recommend it :).

Thank you and yes it is. Our kids are best friends with their kids and we are family friends. It is their DDs 21st birthday while we are there - so we are celebrating. We can't wait. Thanks!

Ok, my friends are at Disney now so we've been texting back and forth. She asked me if I thought APs were worth it, so I told her all about the conversation we had here on the dis. Dh already gave the go ahead for Disney next yr. I have no idea when his vacation is but I know when we want to go. I pulled the trigger and booked Poly CL GV. I like GV best because it increases our chances of a 3rd floor room. Dh won't get his vacation picks until November but I'm almost confident he will get the weeks I want. Staying 8 nights. I am doing a package and will decide on APs next year. I'm sure I'll have a lot more questions then. We are also going the following summer for SWL. So depending on timing it may work out for just me to get one. So glad to have a trip on the books.

Quick question, do people tip concierge at Club Level? We were just there in May first time at Club Level and I didn't! I was reading something yesterday not on Disboards can't remember where I saw it but it was about tipping when traveling. It included Concierge o_O Was just wondering if people do because it never dawned on me

The last I knew the concierge staff (not housekeeping or turn down) had to refuse a tip. So no worries. Does anyone know if this has changed?

I didn’t tip the concierge during our recent stay at GF Main building. I didn’t need any special assistance from the concierge staff during our stay. I didn’t even go to the 3rd floor, where the concierge desk is located, after checking in. However, I did tip the bell service for delivering our luggage and mousekpper daily for servicing our room.

No, the staff at CL can not accept tips. Housekeeping and Bell Services can. But they are not CL specific staff. They service the entire resort.

Congrats on having your trip booked for next year! Enjoy the planning :wizard:.

So much fun. We travel with another family pretty consistently multiple times/places a year for almost 10 years now. There are two other families that join in from time to time. Disney is fun period, and so much fun with friends. We have the best time with our group.

We did get shushed one night having too much fun in the third floor Poly lounge. :rolleyes1

At the Poly Club on my resort day. Relaxing with Bud Light and Longboards in a fully stocked mini fridge. It's 90% full but people come and go so never feels super congested or loud.

The food offerings have been consistent for breakfast: bagels, bread/toast, jellies, cereals (raisin bran, kids cereal), hard boiled eggs, cheeses, chorizo sausages *yum*, steel cut oatmeal with item to add, yogurt parfaits fresh cut fruit (plenty of strawberries, pineapple, melon, watermelon, oranges on different days), bananas, apples. Then there are the rotating items, beef deli slices, salmon slices

Lunch: consistent items are the lettuce wraps with either Chicken or Shrimp (chili, peanut or soy sauces), celery - cherry tomatoes - small carrots w/ranch dressing, wonton/potato chips mix with hummus - baba ganoush, bread rolls with sea salt butter, cheeses - crackers. The rotating items were mac and cheese, noodle salad, deviled eggs, a salmon dish, loco moco (as served in Kona Cafe)

Dinner: consistent items are celery - cherry tomatoes - small carrots w/ranch dressing, bread rolls with sea salt butter and other sauces, Pita bread, cheeses - crackers. Rotating items were tomato salad with avocado dressing, Stir Fry, soy orange pork with pickled veggies, pork belly mix, California Sushi roll, and many more that I can't recall but my point is that there is a variety and most were tasty. Some were a little on the light side of a flavor profile but still edible. My compliments to Chef April.

The fastpa$$+ have been great. No issues with doubling up whatsoever. It has made our touring so care free and have taken advantage of the club every morning, afternoon and evening when we didn't have table reservations. I highly recommend it.

The reserved area for HEA is not the best but there is room to maneuver. We ended up at the front up again the railing and yes standing up. We were fortunate that we didn't have any jeers or hecklers telling us to sit down.

A nice touch I'd not seen before and presume is club level specific is the daily color custom printout of our daily itinerary. While not really necessary given planning docs it was still a nice touch.

I have not experienced long lines or crowded pools. Plenty of toiletries that are refreshed daily. I was surprised that our 10 AM Kona Cafe reservation took about 10m before our table was ready which is no big deal but previously was always instantly ready. However, on the plus note, my DS thought he could handle the Macadameon nut pancakes (w/pineapple topping) but had a visceral negative reaction. The CM simply took it away and brought plain pancakes even though he at the sausage it included more. Both items were provided at no extra charge.

Rode monorail once in the AM and seemed like only one was running as the wait time was about 15m. The boat ride back in the evening was about 10m and super relaxing after MK closing.

I did Amazon Now (placed order the day before so had all available time slots) and no charges have appeared on my folio which you can now view in MDE (View Room Details > View Charges) the button is right above the "unlock door button which is not as convenient as having the band. However, if I accidentally leave my band in the room, then it will be super helpful (almost happened, true story :)

Hope this helps you guys. Now back to the second half of my vacation ! :)

We are the same way - we have a few different sets of friends that we travel with. I agree it is so much fun doing Disney in a large group. That is funny that you got shushed - there are no rooms near there - I wonder why.
