CC cabins actually require less points!! Aren't they beautiful?!?

I noticed nobody responded to your question yet, and it doesn't seem fair to leave you hanging on this one!

The cabins are somewhat cheaper in point cost than the bungalows, but not by much. They average about 160 points per night. I agree, though- they look fabulous! Would love to try them out sometime. For free, of course. LOL

NP! LOL it stinks they're high, but can possibly do every other year?! I think I'd rather stay CL if I had the choice though!!!! When is your next trip? Where are you staying this time around?

Poly TPV Room in Hawaii 3rd Floor - incredible view and everything we had hoped for. Room has been very comfortable air conditioning wise, turn down service so far has been nightly, Concierge Team Members David (who is also a dead ringer of Sal from impractical jokers), Chris, Edward and a couple of others whose names I must remember to write down have been so friendly and sweet! We rented a cabana for 3 of our days and yesterday was day 1 and we loved the convenience of it so much I took a daytime nap in it . Arrived around midnight 9/15 and here until 9/26 and I can already see leaving will be a problem not for us but them as they try and drag us out of here.

Looks like you might need to book a BB for another Poly CL stay .

Just back from a quick CL stay (hastily rescheduled from Irma weekend) ...

Wilderness Lodge Club Level for the win!!

We were originally scheduled for YC CL and when we had to reschedule because of Irma, we wound up with a split stay of 2-nights WL CL and 1 night at YC non-CL SV.

We were greeted out front by Meaghan holding a themed sign on a clipboard - Welcome Mr & Mrs ... My husband remarked - I guess that's why it took the CM so long at the gate when we drove the car up.

We got a quick talking tour of the lobby. Up on the elevator, asked us if we would like anything to drink while we checked-in. We arrived at noon-ish and our room was ready. After a quick tour of the club level she took us to our room and she was happy to show us that we received exactly what I had requested - fireworks view with 2 queen beds (didn't want to have bunk beds with just the 2 of us and didn't want to limit my options by asking for a king bed, since there are so few on CL).

On our bed was a box of chocolates - two gilded chocolate bars with the WL character totem pole on a bed of small chocolate crispy balls, from the Ganachery. Also, there was our printed itinerary for our entire stay (including our Yacht club days), maps, etc.

We were in room 7048 - this is 100% straight on view of the castle from the room - you can see it if the curtains are open the minute you walk in the room. There are no trees (well, one thin, sparse one to the left) in front of the room. You can see the front of the main street train station to the left, the castle dead center, space mountain to the mid-right, CR to the right - and the monorail passes right in front of the whole thing. Ugh, wish I had taken a real camera on this short trip instead of just relying on my Iphone - missed so many fantastic photo taking opportunities from 7048, cellphone pics don't do it justice. The rest of the view - well, don't look down because it's part of the loading area. You do have the wonderful aroma from the smokehouse though. There was no noise interrupting the solitude even with all of the activity below us.

CL staff was great - and there was always at least one management level CM walking around.

I'll write about the food, etc. a little later. If you have specific questions I can try and answer.

One more thing - the lounge was NEVER crowded when we were there and we practically had it to ourselves the first 2 days (Thurs 9/14, Fri 9/15). One CM told us they only had 2 'groups' visit appetizer hours on Wednesday evening.

It sounds like you certainly hit the CL jackpot with this stay! We've had 4 CL stays over the last 14 months or so (2 BC, 2 GF RPC) and we had zero greetings, welcome gifts, etc. Very happy that you were so happy with your stay. WL CL is one I have always wanted to try, but I haven't had the chance to yet. :

Wilderness Club Level Beverage Service

In the fridge at all times ...
Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Coke, Sprite, Dasani Water, Perrier, 2 kinds of Milk (didn't look closely - I suppose whole and 2%??), Chocolate Milk, Apple Juice boxes and chilled pint glasses

Beverage dispensers ...
Spa Water of the Day, Orange Juice in the morning, Cold Tea, Lemonade - various sweeteners and flavorings available - regular glasses and take-out cups

Alcohol must be served by CMs - other than the cordials in the evening which are self-pour (under a watchful CM eye), CM there for pouring throughout the 2 evening times. At other times there is almost always at least one CM that can be found.
Beer on tap - Widmer Hefeweizen, Elysian IPA
Beer in Fridge - Yuengling Lager, Redhook seasonal, Rogue Dead Guy Ale (in a can), and one other that I can't recall
Wine - Michelle Brut Sparking Wine, Chateau St. Michelle Riesling, Milbrandt Tradition Chardonnay, Milbrandt Traditions Cabernet Sauvignon, Wild Hills Pinot Noir

Cordials - usual club level suspects, also have a port and Rogue Dead Guy Whiskey - which is a fairly expensive ($45 750 ml. bottle), not very good sipping whiskey that works very well with the crushed ice and fresh lemonade just a few steps away.

Poly CL wins points for self-serve alcohol policy and the punch. WL CL wins for draft beer and a non-sweet cordial selection. WL wins points for Bernard serving the appetizer hour alcohol. I can totally understand why WL CM-serve policy though - the way the lounge is situated in a hallway it would be very easy for under-age guests to get alcohol.

That's why I said to call a TA (preferably one who specializes in Disney). In the past, mine has been able to get me a standard or GV room when none are showing on the Disney website.

That's how I booked my upcoming poly weekend. There was no poly availability on the disney site, orbitz and others or undercovertourist, and yet I got a room and a great discount!

I know, I have gotten rooms with discounts via my TA when there are none showing available at Disney. So it's always good to try.

On a non Disney note, hubby and I are taking a beach trip to Clearwater, Florida this weel without kids (first time) for our 15 anniversary. I was walking today, as usual, tripped and sprained my ankle. Ligament on foot is all swollen. I'm now in an air cast that must be worn whenever I walk. ok, rant over.

Wilderness Lodge Club Level Food Offerings ...

Breakfast - protein rotated, day 1 - arrived after breakfast, day 2 - smoked turkey and sliced cheese, day 3 - smoked turkey and sliced cheese, specialty salami
Breakfast - hard boiled eggs, bagels, croissants, breads, muffins, hot oatmeal with toppings, only on one of our mornings was there fresh cut fruit , individual containers of yogurt in the fridge

Mid-day - make your own trail mix (cellophane bags and twist ties available) that included walnuts, pecans, dried apricots, banana chips, chocolate chips, goldfish, pretzels, gummy bears
Mid-day - vegetable chips (have to admit I missed the potato chips), pits chips, white bean dip (basically hummus) and a couple of other dipping choices, crudite, apple slices and pb&j, mini cupcakes, 1 day of chocolate chip, sugar, and oatmeal cookies, 2 days of macarons

Appetizers Every Day - apple slices and pb&j, rolls, charcuterie platter with meats and cheeses that varied
Appetizers Day 1 - Big game stew (basically beef stew), kids pasta (rigatoni in a marinara sauce with meat), fish soup of some kind, seafood salad and some other cold dish in a mini mason jar (can you tell I didn't pay attention because I don't like seafood?)
I remembered to take pictures of the menu the next 2 days
Appetizers Day 2 - Curried chicken salad, Asian Buffalo salad, Tomato bisque soup, Shrimp Putanesca with Fregola, Kids Pasta (it was supposed to be Roast/Grilled chicken with vegetables according to the menu, but it never materialized)
Appetizers Day 3 - Bread service with dipping sauces, Chinook salmon with lemon basil vinaigrette, shrimp cocktail with wasabi cocktail sauce, Shepard's pie, tomato cream soup, Kids Pasta

Evening Day 1 - warm peach cobbler, mini cupcakes, cookies, chocolate pudding parfait
Evening Day 2 - warm strawberry and blueberry cobbler, mini cupcakes, macarons, another parfait (don't remember what kind)
Evening Day 3 - we did not go, but I overheard them tell someone that it would be warm apple cobbler, macarons, cookies, and they did not know the specialty dessert yet

I contacted signature services letting them know our arrival time (GF RPC) and asked if there would be a curbside greeter. Their response was "feel free to look for a curbside-greeter. What the heck kind of response is that??? Just thought it was a strange answer.
