Poly TPV Room in Hawaii 3rd Floor - incredible view and everything we had hoped for. Room has been very comfortable air conditioning wise, turn down service so far has been nightly, Concierge Team Members David (who is also a dead ringer of Sal from impractical jokers), Chris, Edward and a couple of others whose names I must remember to write down have been so friendly and sweet! We rented a cabana for 3 of our days and yesterday was day 1 and we loved the convenience of it so much I took a daytime nap in it . Arrived around midnight 9/15 and here until 9/26 and I can already see leaving will be a problem not for us but them as they try and drag us out of here.

So glad you're enjoying Poly CL. I know I saw you do a lot of planning/prep/build-up for the trip so glad it sounds like it's living up to expectations!

Nice room too! What is that, 3505-3508ish? Love that middle part.

Also, I guess Poly took away the actual swing for Irma but hasn't put it back yet?

I am staying at the BC CL beginning 9/21. Unfortunately my 14 year old son broke his knee this past weekend and is in a full leg cast. I contacted DSS for assistance with renting a wheelchair and was given the link to wheelchair rentals on Disney's website. Would any of you expect something a little more or are my expectations too high? Just curious. I booked all my dining and fastpass reservations, this was the first time I had contacted them for assistance. Thanks

Starting to get nervous about our BC CL stay in 7 weeks. The recent reviews in this thread have been less than stellar. We stayed YC CL and BWI CL last year and they were very good. Boardwalk Inn was especially impressive.

Gosh, what a terrible situation with your son - I hope he's OK! Obviously there's never a 'good time' for a serious health issue but I'm sure it's magnified even more with a pending WDW trip so close.

As to DSS - I'm not terribly surprised by the response. While DSS can book/handle some things for you, for others they can really just point you in the direction of other Disney resources/departments. Not saying that's right or wrong, that's just the way it works with some things.

Hope you guys can still make the most of your trip, all things considered.

Thank you all for your replies. We have a large group of extended family going so too difficult to reschedule. We will try to make the best of it. Having 3 active teenage boys leads to many mishaps. We went to BC CL in 2014 and my middle son had dislocated his knee for that trip. We had contacted the concierge at the resort directly and they were so helpful is obtaining a wheelchair. I understand that was most likely pickie dust and will have something delivered.

Dang that stinks!!! DSS doesn't seem to be giving the same level of service that the individual IPOs did in the past. My suggestion for you would be to hop on over to the DISabilities forum. I'm pretty sure they have links to offsite rental places (wheelchair and scooter) that would better serve you.

Have a great trip! DW and I will be there in 2 and a half months and it will be our first trip to both CR and Club Level. Odd question, but can you let us know if they have chocolate croissants at breakfast (DW loves them)?

Also, will you be staying in one of the two King rooms? We would love to hear more details of the room or see pics!

On a non Disney note, hubby and I are taking a beach trip to Clearwater, Florida this weel without kids (first time) for our 15 anniversary. I was walking today, as usual, tripped and sprained my ankle. Ligament on foot is all swollen. I'm now in an air cast that must be worn whenever I walk. ok, rant over.

Wilderness Club Level Beverage Service

In the fridge at all times ...
Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Coke, Sprite, Dasani Water, Perrier, 2 kinds of Milk (didn't look closely - I suppose whole and 2%??), Chocolate Milk, Apple Juice boxes and chilled pint glasses

Beverage dispensers ...
Spa Water of the Day, Orange Juice in the morning, Cold Tea, Lemonade - various sweeteners and flavorings available - regular glasses and take-out cups

Alcohol must be served by CMs - other than the cordials in the evening which are self-pour (under a watchful CM eye), CM there for pouring throughout the 2 evening times. At other times there is almost always at least one CM that can be found.
Beer on tap - Widmer Hefeweizen, Elysian IPA
Beer in Fridge - Yuengling Lager, Redhook seasonal, Rogue Dead Guy Ale (in a can), and one other that I can't recall
Wine - Michelle Brut Sparking Wine, Chateau St. Michelle Riesling, Milbrandt Tradition Chardonnay, Milbrandt Traditions Cabernet Sauvignon, Wild Hills Pinot Noir

Thanks for posting this, I never got the names of the beers. Sadly we were there the week before and there was no Yuengling. Personally I didn't like any of them that we had. I know the Rogue Dead Guy in a can, the same two on draft and the redhook. There was also something in a bottle that looked like the Red Stripe bottle to me. My DH drank that, but it was on the light side and not for me. My DH asked one of the CMs how they decide what they carry and they said there is a waiting list of breweries to get into the lounges so they rotate seasonally. I really wanted to try the Kona Longboard that everyone drank all summer so I was bummed it wasn't there and I never got around to trying it in the parks.

Milk in the fridge was 1% and skim. I know because we are big milk drinkers. I actually made myself a Kahlua and milk one evening to go with a macaroon. I wish there was a whole milk option.

Bernard was great for us too. Even thought it was CM pour, I didn't feel like they were limiting it. All you had to do was glance at the options and they were offering. Bernard *may* have convinced me I needed a glass of wine.

One of the desserts was a chocolate whiskey mousse in a jar. Very good especially if you like dark chocolate.

My only disappointment was the pastry at breakfast. I was all excited when I saw the cinnamon buns, but they were pretty bland. I was hoping the chocolate drizzled croissants might make an appearance. (My mom (did not stay CL) had a pile of snack credits to use, so she snagged me one). The bagels were very fresh and delicious toasted with cream cheese and jelly. I also had the fruit everyday and oatmeal one day. All good with a nice selection of add ins for the oatmeal. Also, this oatmeal was not sugared at all.

My DD likes to eat 3 or 4 mini marshmallows for a snack after dinner at home. They had been out with the hot chocolate earlier in the day but were missing at dessert time. I asked, and in a few minutes the jar reappeared. They were in the process of training some very young looking CMs. The lead was setting up and told them to take pictures of the set up to help them remember how to put everything. They seriously should just look at this thread. hehehehe

The Nespresso was good..... but that machine..... it takes quite a bit of time for just coffee. My bagel toasted faster. Since I usually use whipped cream at home, I appreciated the foamed milk option.

We really hardly saw other guests. Some because we ate in our room, but even the times we ate in the lounge, it really was never busy. I asked a CM what we were to do with our dishes and they said leave them on the table or in your room that they would get the tables and housekeeping would get the room. Some times I would leave my knife I used to put butter or jelly on something in the sink in the lounge. I saw others leave their stirring spoons there also. Never did I see dishes sitting, but never did I feel like CMs were hovering.

My DH used the lounge very early mornings for work (prior to food service). And DD and I watched part of a movie one afternoon he was working in our room.

The best moment of our trip, one afternoon DD and I are returning from the pool and we had come up the main elevator. We go through the gate and as we are walking along over the lobby, she takes a deep breath and says "ahhh there it is, I love the smell of the lodge." Parenting win!!!

Here is my quick mini- report from the WL CL. I am not a picture person so this won’t have pictures. I will try to touch on things I had questions on before our trip. I will also be posting a Legoland review over on the Orlando forum because there aren’t many of those to glean information from.

We stayed at the WL CL 9/04-9/09. We were lucky that our trip ended just in time to get out before any weather. The CMs were wonderful. Manager Jay and staff worked with us a few different times on hurricane preparedness travel plans, which we ended up not needing. I did notice a CM that was working in the lounge also at the front desk when we were leaving. Not sure if that was because of being ride out crew or normal. They did seem to be training a few very young looking CMs in the lounge during the week. I was so impressed with their professionalism when I am certain they had their own personal concerns that week. We made sure to give our best wishes to as many as we saw on our last two days.

Our room was 7062. We drove in on 9/04 from Legoland and had a car return for the Car Care Center. I did online check in. We arrived at the WL around 9am, about an hour before we had indicated we would arrive. When we arrived at the WL, we stopped at the guard shack, he sent us to the portico to unload. We were met by Bell Services who helped unload our luggage and water. I shipped all the items to Bell Services, other than the park bag and stroller because I was not expecting our room to be ready. My DH then left to return the car (he needed to make an arrangement for a work related rental for a few days later). I headed into the Lobby with our DD. As I entered I turned left and there was someone at the small desk there (was the lobby concierge at one time?). I asked them if I was to check in at the main desk for the Old Faithful Club. He didn’t know what that was. So I said “no worries” I will head to the check in. In the mean time, Kaylyn had come down to find us and he pointed her in our direction. She took us up to the CL floor, showed us how to use the gate and checked that our bands were working, gave us a quick tour of the lounge (breakfast was still going), we stopped at the CL desk (where she informed us our room was ready and that our request was met), she also gave us “happy birthday” pins with our names on them because the trip was to celebrate our 40th birthdays. Then she walked us to our room. It was at this moment, I got a room ready text also. Kaylyn also gave us a quick walk around in the room, pointed out our chocolate totem from the Ganachery and our printed itinerary of our MDE plans. We also had a sheet with lounge times and the WL CL cell phone number. She encouraged us to make use of the breakfast in the lounge until 10am. Once she left, I called Bell Services and I swear they appeared in 2 minutes. We unpacked for a bit, then grabbed a snack for us and one for my husband who still wasn’t back. When he did return, he had no problem coming up, going through the gate and getting to the room.

Room

We were in room 7062. Our only request when I was contacted by DSS about 5 days before the trip was to be close to the lounge. We were the second door on the MK side of the hall. Our view was slightly obstructed castle, great SM and CR view. The only negative was when you looked down you could see the service area and you could always smell the smoke house (a sweet smell not smoky) when you were outside (personally not a smell I prefered, but it wasn't strong enough to be a problem) . I am guessing all the CL rooms on the MK side are like this. I did not realize how few CL rooms there really are now on the 7th floor.

Room 7062 is handicapped accessible which puts the entire bathroom into one room and only has a single sink with a very small counter area. We ended up hanging our toiletry bags from one of the towel racks and just keeping a few items on the counter. It also moves the fridge over to the corner by the far bed because of the modified entry and closet area.

The fan was on a timer and motion censor and shut off pretty quickly. This was good, our room at AoA last year had a fan that would just turn on even if no one was in the bathroom and even if the light was off, very annoying. I could get ready at the sink without really triggering the fan. For a night light, we just left the curtains open and it was plenty of light if you woke up in the night.

Our room had two robes, which I actually used once. We got the sea marine h20 products that were replenished if removed from the tray in the bathroom. We also got, on the second day solar relief, and foot cream, plus two small moisturizing creams. I went home with a small goodie bag! We received turndown everyday with chocolates and on a few days the old cards with the quotes on them. Turn down occurred anytime between 3 and 7pm for us. She came one day and we had just gotten back from the pool, so we said no thanks but she gave my DD chocolates anyway. In addition to turning down the bed and straitening the towels, they took any dishes we had from the lounge. This isn’t a due or die service for me, but it was nice to come back to a freshened room in the evening.

We got one towel animal, but most days they moved the two stuffed animals we had with us and my daughters blanket nicely onto the bed. (I always remove them from the bed in the morning so they don’t get lost in sheets.) My daughter also left a chocolate fingerprint on the bed cover one evening, and housekeeping changed it. I didn’t even know if they would notice it or not.

Our room had accent pillows but no accent blanket at the foot of the bed.

I thought the fridge was turned down too low when we got there so I turned it up..... ummm don't turn it up much, it froze our snack veggies and fruit, but not water.

I really wish I had taken time to explore the resort more and relax in the lounge. We spent most of our outdoor time at the old pool because the kids (our extended family was at the WL too) were into the slide, and our DD was still young enough to test out what she called "the contraption," the splash pad area. We did eat at the new counter service by the lake, Geyser Point. What a great spot and good food. Just some minor check out issues but I think that was the server's error. Again, I wish we had gotten back there more then once. But like we told the kids "we can't do everything, we need a reason to come back."

Yes Bernard was very good at offering beverages - on a few occasions I may have said 'Oh all right, if you need something to do I'll take another sparkling wine please"
All of the CMs were very good about my interrupting them for our adult beverages - no matter how many times we asked

Ah yes - there were two types of croissants each morning we were there. You made me remember that we did have the chocolate croissants along with plain. I loved the smoked turkey with a croissant in the morning (and a little chocolate milk - never too old!).

I loved the fresh cut timber smell of the lodge - my husband never noticed it. I didn't realize that until he commented on the smell of the YC and I said I preferred the lodge and he said 'what smell?' Maybe he's immune to the smell since he hates yard work!!

I also never payed attention to the 4th beer option since it was described as similar to bud light - and I said 'oh, we won't be having that' My husband enjoyed the Dead Guy and the draft Hefeweizen. The Yuengling appeared on our last day.

We had the same experience as @dalmatian7 - if we removed something from the toiletry tray it was promptly replaced.

Daytime view from room 7048 - the castle is much closer and larger when viewing from the room - my camera phone made it seem smaller. For perspective - it was larger from our WL room than our Poly CL TPV room or the club lounge. These WL CL SV rooms are a hidden gem as far as castle views for much lower room prices.



This photo will show you the 'whole view' from the room - the MK train station front is seen on the left of the photo. It took us a little bit to figure out what we were seeing, but the Halloween bunting gave it away.



Some views of Hallowishes from room 7048. The music is piped into the balconies in the club lounge, but not in the room balconies. I mentioned it to the CM as we were watching the fireworks on our first night as we went between the lounge and our room to see the difference. You cannot see the MK buildings from the lounge balconies - only the fireworks above the trees. The CM (management level) said she has mentioned it many times.
