Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

For the FWIW file, Orlando Parks News is reporting the new OFC lounge at WL will open "in the next few weeks." No idea how legit this is, just passing along!

Maybe I'll just have to volunteer for a reconnaissance mission after Thanksgiving. Lol!

Thanks for this information. I'm excited to see pics of the new lounge once it's finished :).

Woohoo! Just booked a week at BC CL followed by a week at Poly CL :-) We have to wait until the end of June to enjoy this trip but I can't wait to get started planning it! :-)

I had the same thought with the split stay. We are doing BCCL three nights end of June and PolyCL for 5 nights in July.

An Epcot/MK split is the best of both worlds! Hope you both have great trips :wizard:.

Yes, I totally agree! Super excited to try BC, but my heart is with the Poly.

We've stayed at both and even though the Poly is our favorite, the BC is a nice resort. I'm sure you'll have a great time :goodvibes.

We will probably see you at both places!! We're at BCCL June 24-July 1 and then Poly CL July 1 - 8 :-) Nothing like Poly CL for the 4th of July!

Oh my gosh I totally agree!! I think we roomed next to each other a couple years ago (if I have your user name right!) This year we were at Poly CL again and almost in the exact same LV room (1505). This year, Poly did a stellar job keeping all people off the grass in front of Hawaii both on July 3 and July 4. It was awesome, especially if you have a LV room on the ground level!

Hi Everyone - do you know if there is an issue with GF IPO Email? We are going in February and IPO had secured a couple of reservations for us. I was following up to see if they were able to get our reservation for the Tomorrowland Dessert Part because it appears that it is open online ( I may be wrong, but wanted to confirm, since they were making the reservation). The response I received confused me, so I provided my reservation number again and explained that we were staying at RPC and I was following up on a reservation that IPO was going to be making for us, and I got the same email response. Here is what I received:

Dear Mrs. XXXX,

Thank you for contacting us and congratulations on your next vacation with us! In order to provide the best experience for our Guests, our Concierge team will be focused on assisting you personally with all of your needs once you arrive at the resort. We look forward to welcoming you in February!

As always, our Reservations Cast Members are able to assist you with your planning needs. They can be reached by dialing 407-934-7639, 7 a.m.-11 p.m. EST. You may also contact 407-WDW-DINE for dining reservations or visit My Disney Experience.

Additionally, as we are always looking for ways to enhance the Guest experience, sometime after the new year, a new team will proactively engage with Guests to assist with their end-to-end vacation planning.

Thank you Mrs. XXXX! We are excited to have you visit us again here at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and will see you real soon.

I have been working with them since August regarding the other reservations, etc. Is this something new? I'm now concerned about the other reservations they made for me. I didn't have any ADRs, just a Horseback Trail Ride at Fort Wilderness and the Wild Trek of Africa tour.

Wow! Very interesting, please keep us updated on what you find out. This would be concerning to me as it doesn't seem to give you any options at all. Do you have the direct number to the GF IPO? I would call and see if you can talk to someone about this or call the reservations cast members and see if you had anything booked.

This is what I was going to do. I was going to call the number that IPO had listed on their email signature to make sure everything is still booked. I'm not going to be able to do this until tomorrow morning.

I was hoping that this was just happening to me. Has anyone else gotten an email response like this from IPO today? Crossing my fingers that I'm the only one getting these responses.

I'd bet you have nothing to worry about with your existing reservations, that would be unlike Disney to monkey with things already set. But I wonder if you did stumble upon a switchover in the IPO setup going forward.

I couldn't wait to find out if my reservations were still there, so I called the main number and they transferred me to the recreation reservation desk. After speaking to a couple people they finally found the 2 reservations that IPO had made for me. They gave me the confirmation numbers for both. They have no idea why they couldn't see them initially and it took them over 30 min to find them, but they are there. However, they let me know that Tomorrowland Dessert Party reservation was not made by IPO and now there isn't any availability for the day we wanted. That isn't a major issue, but in their last email to me, they said that they'd set a reminder to make that reservation. Not sure what happened there.

I will be calling the GF IPO directly tomorrow morning to see if there has been a change to their process regarding assisting guests prior to their arrival. Hopefully that phone number still works.

So just saw this on Tikiman

I emailed too about the Gluten free thing i posted the other day and also got a canned response...though it wasnt personalized and basically said they were "busy."

"Thank you for contacting us at Walt Disney World Resort. Our Concierge team is currently assisting other guests. However, our reservation cast member are available to assist you with your planning needs. If you are looking to book a dining reservation, please contact 407-WDW-DINE from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern Time or visit My Disney Experince. For other types of requests please contact 407-WDISNEY. A cast member will be happy to assist you. We look forward to seeing you once you arrive at the resort."

From tikiman's post I was hoping that there would still be a dedicated CL central line but these numbers are just the general ones... I hope that changes!

This is only our second CL stay, and I was kind of on the fence about it because I didnt think CL was all that great--- but this mini trip my Dad is staying at the resort the whole time so I figured it's worth it for him at least. And the price was great on the AP discount. Service cuts make me sad.

More changes, and not for the better :(.

Yep looks like club level planning services are being centralized to a call center to save money. Typical Disney...

:sad2:

Not exactly what a CL guest is expecting :(. I think it's sad that CL guests are being referred to the general reservation line, especially when IPO assistance is advertised as a perk of staying CL.

I just called the GF IPO number that was listed in their email signatures (and also listed on page one of this thread). It is still an active number for the IPO, but you are not able to speak with anyone live, it's just a recording. The recording directs callers to contact the Disney Dining number if they would like to make dining reservations. You do have the option of leaving a voicemail, but that is it.

Thank goodness for the DIS, or I wouldn't have known what was happening! I'm just thinking about all the folks not on the boards, who had IPO reach out to them to offer assistance and then suddenly vanish. Well, not exactly vanish, but change without notice. This is sad. :sad2:

Yes! That was me!!! We both had the same duck family visiting! :-) We are booked GV again this time with no illusions for an upgrade to LV again - but that view was fantastic in 2015!! At least CL had the reserved space on the beach to watch so even with GV we should have a good view of the fireworks.
