Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Yogurt was portioned into 'jars', which I thought was really unappetizing (and noted it in my comments). I guess people may stockpile the single servings.

We had the opposite reaction! We're thrilled!

Here are my thoughts on the subject:
#1, bulk yogurt costs far less than cups.
#2, individual plastic cups = way more plastic and foil to recycle.
#3, plain yogurt is healthier. Dannon Oikos Black Cherry has 14g of sugar/150g. Their Light& Fit brand Cherry has 9g of sugar/150g plus Sucralose.

I prefer to eat plain yogurt with fruit on top, and have been requesting it for years. I'm thrilled WDW has finally added it! I was happy to see it offered in serving bowls, but the glass cups made it even easier for me to eat the kind of breakfast I like.

Feel free to blame me for the glass cups! :)

Funny you post the above. Here are the toiletries in CR (I'm not sure if this is just CL or all of CR?). These seem upgraded from anything I've had in other places. I guess just larger versions? No foot scrub though.

Speaking of the bathroom at CR. Am I the only one that uses one sink as a sink and the other as a table to put all of your stuff? Probably a guy thing I guess!

The Dental Kit. What's in there?

We're staying at BC CL & we only had what's in the pic below in toiletries. I wish we had the foot cream.

Well that will stink. I've never stayed CL and I have all those items shown with the exception of the Dental Kit. I must have gotten the foot cream from the Grand Californian. Now I'm not sure... Disney cruise? Why it it everytime I finally try something they stop all the great stuff. No welcome chocolates, no longer meet/greet. Sheesh. I hope my December CL stays are magical. They are for my 50th. BIG sad face...

This is what we had in ours. Full size toothbrush, mini toothpaste and a floss stick. We stayed in a non CL tower TPV room this past June.

I totally forgot to pack my toothbrush last year and after the first morning using my husbands(Yuck! and he would have killed me if he knew) I left a note for housekeeping. That night when we returned she had left this kit and a couple of bottles of mouthwash as well! This was at the BWI CL.

Hi all!! Looking for info on what the coffee and espresso machine situation is at YC CL. Our last stay there 2 years ago the industrial Nespresso with disc-pods was often out of order. Wondering what it will be like for late October trip. I'm mentally prepared for construction mess (or at least that's what I keep telling myself!) - but I'm oddly fixated on the espresso machine.

Question for all the Epcot resort CL pros out there. My wife and a friend are running the Princess Half in Feb. I've been charged with making their accommodation plans (no pressure or anything). Been thinking about an Epcot resort for proximity to the race, likely BWI or BC. It's a girls only trip for them. Other than my one night at BC CL back in July (which she wasn't there for), I have limited experience with the Epcot resorts. I know this is a very subjective question, but between BWI and BC, which would you choose for a girls trip? I would like to book CL so my wife can "scope things out" for possible future trips. Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

I have stayed at both BC and BWI, and my favorite is the BWI for a girls only trip. Have taken many there!! My husband and I are going to be at the BWI in December for my birthday, love the cast there and it feels like really being around family for me. In January we are traveling with my son, his wife, my grandchildren and friends of theirs. We will be at the Beach Club for that trip. The lounge is bigger for families and easier with the kids, though we have stayed many times at the BW with them too. It really comes down to where I can get my cast discount!! My first choice is always the BW!

I've stayed both BC CL and BWI CL many times each and highly recommend BWI CL for both Princess Half Marathon Weekend and for a girls' trip.

I've stayed at BWI for a girls' trip (convention) and find it really ideal. The Boardwalk was a ton of fun for late-night snacks and we loved sitting out on our balcony with a glass of wine. (I'd be concerned about not getting a full balcony at BC, but nearly all rooms have them at BWI - and that was a highlight of our girls' trip.) The quiet pool at BWI is one of my favorites on property and we used it a ton.

I've also stayed BWI CL with my family for Princess Half Marathon Weekend in 2014 and for runners, I'd put it at the top of my race weekend list. (Poly CL was great for spectators, but if the whole group is running BWI is fantastic.) The cast members in the BWI CL lounge are among our favorite on property and are so warm and welcoming. They always sent us back to our room with huge bottles of water, always offering extra food for morning races and always enthusiastic about the next race (we ran a couple that weekend.) Makes the weekend more festive with that kind of enthusiasm in the lounge.

I do prefer the room decor at BC, and the BC CL lounge is more spacious. But overall, when staying CL and when traveling with just the girls, I'd choose BWI.

Hands down the BWI CL for sure. The quite pool with the back stairs directly to it can't be beat for an adult only trip. In all of our trips to the BWI I could count on one hand the amount of children I saw at this pool but shhhh! we will try to keep that a secret! No bar at this pool but the CM are happy to get a beer for you to take down to the pool with you. As above have noted the lounge CM just can't be beat and it seems more homey than the BC to me.

Well I prefer the BC CL and also the BC resort in general, but in this specific case I might lean towards the BWI CL because it's a little more adult oriented. On our recent stay at BWI CL, my girls made the comment that they didn't see any other kids in the lounge. Also, the pools were always dead when we were there. Big change from what we're used to at both poly and BC. I always think that someday if DH and I go to disney alone, we'd stay at BWI or YC.

I've completed my TR which starts HERE and includes a (very short) Tower Club stay and RPC.
PAGE 17 has my TRIP SUMMARY/ASSESSMENT.

Great TR! I loved reading and following along daily :goodvibes

I agree with pp's, I'd go with BWI. We've never stayed at BWI, but it's on our list to try as I am constantly reading great things about CL :).

I can't tell you about the Princess Marathon, but we have been to both CL's. In general, we prefer BC over BWI. You won't go wrong with either, plus they have some similarities- liked the shared shuttle boats.

1. Consider any ADR's they want to have. Eating at your home resort is always the easiest option, especially if the weather is less than ideal, but dining at either is very easy (from either BWI/BC) when the weather is nice.

2. Compared to other WDW resorts, the BWI and portions of the BC/YC pools are deeper than most. The BC/YC lazy river is deep (I want to say about 6feet: unusual for a lazy river), as are some other sections of the main pool. The kiddie section of the sand bottom pool resembles a shallow tide pool. The main BWI pool is just deep. Compared to other WDW pools, IMO, the BWI is too deep for small children. I don't know if this matters to you, but the water slide has a large clown face.

3. IMO, the food in most WDW CL's is comparable, but food offerings also change over time.

4. Other than the above, the theming and location of both is somewhat similar. I like that all 3 resorts are light and cheerful.

Can you add me to the Poly list January 2-7 2017. This is our second CL stay but first time CL at Poly. We have stayed poly many times in a standard room. We just did BC CL in May. Is there a big difference. Any tips for Poly?

Ah, the expresso machine is a big part of CL for us! I can't answer you directly, but I'll share what I know. I suspect you are going to find the same Nespresso machine as before.

It has been over a year since my last YC CL visit, but I'm just back from CR's CL, and I've have stayed at all the CL's. CR has the same Nespresso machine you describe, as they've had for years.

At CR, they moved the machine (and possibly replaced it in the process?), but it looks the same as always, going back at least 5 years.

Now, I'm extrapolating a bit, but...

Some of the other resorts used to have Nescafe machines: those are gone. WDW's contract with Nescafe expired and was NOT renewed.

I just looked at the opening photos at the top of this thread, and oddly the espresso machines of most CL's are missing from the lounge photos! How funny. the few photos that show espresso machines all show the Nespresso ones.

I should add, over our most recent 3 CL's visits, the Nespresso machines worked perfectly! That's why I wonder if maybe they WERE all updated.

Best wishes!

We just left YC club level Saturday. I used the machine to make tea every day & saw people making coffee with it. Didn't see any signs that it wasn't working. In the morning they also had our the large pots of coffee & decaf. My DH had coffee from there one morning but he said it was pretty cold, he ended up not even drinking it.

Was it a Nespresso machine?

If you look at the top of this thread, the WL and BC CL pictures show Nespresso machines. If it looked like the BC/WL machines, it is a Nespresso.

I'd be surprised if it isn't. they are everywhere else we've stayed, and I'm fairly certain that's what they had when we stayed at YC.

Totally debating booking YC CL next August (never did CL but LOVE YC). Two reasons, would love the CL addition but would also probably guarantee a refurbed room as with the BC they started at the top floor and worked their way down so if they follow suit I would think new rooms by August 2017. :) Would you mind reporting back on your YC CL stay and your thoughts. Enjoy. Thanks.
