Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Funny you post the above. Here are the toiletries in CR (I'm not sure if this is just CL or all of CR?). These seem upgraded from anything I've had in other places. I guess just larger versions? No foot scrub though.

Speaking of the bathroom at CR. Am I the only one that uses one sink as a sink and the other as a table to put all of your stuff? Probably a guy thing I guess!

We did the same thing at the CR - I do not like the bathrooms for that reason. Not enough counter space. Coming from the Poly's bathroom which has huge counter space and then going to the CR the counter space was non existent.

Wow, what a day! Hands down our best day of any trip, ever! I can't say I've ever really experienced a "pixie dust" moment in prior trips but we did today from the CR CL CMs totally out of the blue. I don't want to say what it was for various reasons but it was something for DS. Just amazing orchestration and thoughtfulness.

Full report to come once I can get back and go through my thoughts!

On the plane heading home. So sad! But, we've have a great year blessed with several trips, so will never complain.

Here are current CR Atrium Club breakfast offerings. I guess the yogurt in the glasses is the new thing these days? Not really a fan, wish they'd just put out a selection of yoplait, chobani, or something (like nearly every hotel in the world).

At least they have protein. I'm not into lox but it looks good. Can't really bring myself to eat cheese and deli meat for breakfast, but I guess some folks do! The eggs are my go to.

Plenty o' carbs.

Beverages are OJ, water, and milk (not including the sodas in the fridge). That thing with the green light is a mini fridge for limes and lemons. Cereal is fruit loops and special K. I wish CR had the option of paper bowls/plates like other CLs. It makes eating here just a bit less kid friendly IMHO.

Question about the BC CL Lounge - where is it? I'm trying to figure out where to make me room requests. Also wondering if CL Vets prefer to stay close to the Lounge because of convenience or do you tend to stay away due to privacy/noise/etc. Thanks!

The lounge is pretty close to the elevators on the 5th floor. There should be a layout, I believe, in the BC/YC thread. Personally, we prefer to stay near the lounge at BC because we're a family that enjoys lounge use. We'd rather have a little noise and be close to the lounge versus having it super quiet and being far away from the lounge. To each their own, though, because I know some people prefer the exact opposite! The hard thing about the BC CL is prioritizing the requests because not all rooms have a daybed and not all rooms have a full balcony (we want both!), so adding "near the lounge" usually goes unnoticed because they're trying to fulfill my first 2 requests... Have fun -- it's one of the best CL's!

I have had those larger sizes too! At DL at the DLH in March and just recently at gf in a non-cl room . I was nice to the maid and she just handed me some, lol!

Foot scrub only at GF.

We use the sinks that way too. Kind of have to :)

My trip was 7/28 and I posted I think on poly thread but Gadad did both threads around same time.

2 Bd floor only has a door you can slide to listen to outside. Blueskies requested that floor twice because it's more convenient to the lobby .

I always email Ipo and ask for 1st or 3rd and have gotten it each time .

Tikimanpages.com is a must for an upcoming poly trip!

Oh ask away ! I am busy trying to figure out where I can find info on CR gv room. I want a EWP view for January !

We are in withdrawal of DW and the Poly so talking about it helps. Don't worry about the questions. We were a party of 10 so we wanted adjoining rooms - so that was our priority. You are correct that the 2nd floor rooms do not have a balcony. I do love a balcony but when you have the lounge to sit in it doesn't bother me that much to not have it. I along with 2 of my kids are early risers so having the balcony is lovely for us to sit and chat and not wake anyone else up. We were on the 3rd floor 2/3 of the way down the hall - so the balcony was nice. It was never too much walking for us as we all have Fitbits and want as many steps as we can get. :flower: One time we were on the 2nd floor and that was nice too.

There is an elevator right there but maybe we took it once - the stairs are open and lovely to walk on as you pass the lounge on the way up or down. I have never had a 1st floor room so I can't comment on how that is.

If you feel you will use the balcony then request it. We had a GV room and had a lovely view of the Oasis pool - it was so relaxing. The last time we stayed there we had a TPV and all we watched was the building of the Bungalows. They definitely hide some of view of the castle. We absolutely love the Poly it is so relaxing.

Ask away!

We spent the last two days trying various dates and sadly only RPC was available with our discount. There was rack rate availability at Poly. At these prices, DH is checking his dates for either a 4 or 7 night Disney cruise. Both will be cheaper than either resort option (7 night is discounted and better value!). We will spend one night somewhere prior to the cruise but probably standard view or non Disney. Thanks to all you awesome guys for all the great info. I'm sad not to try Poly but not too sad!!! :teeth:

Hope everyone has a fantastic Tuesday!

It's sad when a cruise (that includes food and entertainment) is cheaper than the resort portion of a stay :sad2:.

Happy planning. I hope the cruise works out :wizard:.

We had something similar in January. Yogurt was portioned into 'jars', which I thought was really unappetizing (and noted it in my comments). I guess people may stockpile the single servings.

I saw your evening apps pictures with the vegetables in open dishes. This was better than on our trip as they again put everything in glass jars, then provided some worthless wooden tongs to get the vegetables out. It was so frustrating, trying to get packed vegetables out of a jar with straight wooden tongs that really didn't open.

In July, BWI CL still had the normal yogurt -- LOVED it, plus they also had bottles of OJ:

I'll be anxious to see next month if they're still serving the single sealed containers of yogurt at CSR in the business class lounge like they were earlier this year. Sad, when you're paying top dollar for CL at these deluxes and they're making cuts left and right.

I agree. I'm trying to understand about some cuts of late because I thought over the last few months things were getting back to the old CL ways. I know there's a thread on here stating that GF was even better than before....also, in speaking with a well-known CM at Poly CL -- he said he was laid off earlier this year during a cutback phase, but as of July he was back at full time and things were getting back to the old ways. Well, I guess we'll just have to experience things as they happen! Personally, we love WDW CL stays so much that we're ok with most things. We just want a gorgeous lounge view, beautiful and comfortable room, and easy access to parks! Good food in the lounge is a perk -- we always manage to find things we like regardless. Funny but we love Poly CL LV/TPV probably the most out of any CL stays, but we like the food there the least.

BWI CL had the regular non CL toiletries, nothing special at all. We have been so many times that we bring all of our own stuff, with the exception of the lotion, which I use non stop while in the parks, I didn't even bother bringing anything home.

Hey tsme, maybe this is an EPCOT resort thing...... although I can't remember if we had regular toiletries or not in Hawaii last year

Maybe but I want to say a few years ago at BWI CL, we had gotten the larger size and the hand and foot creams. I could be wrong.

I don't remember larger toiletries but I know that the suites at BC had the aloe and foot cream. I remember buying a tube of the foot cream because I liked it so much and it wound up disappearing and not making it home

I have a question that may seem silly for the CR CL's. Is the Atrium Level called that because it is open to center atrium, like the floors below it? And the Tower Level is not open?

King Kamehameha Club at Disney's Polynesian Resort, well :sulley: count us in! Dec. 20-24 :santa:

Hope you have a great time! :santa:

173 days to go!! March 7th - 10th 2017 - Disney's Boardwalk Inn - Deluxe Club Level!! above the bakery? waking to sweet smells?! can't wait!!

The time will go fast and you will be there before you know it! Enjoy the planning :goodvibes.

I don't know the technical answer to your question but I "assume" your rationale is legit. To be honest, when I see people write about the different floors on here I always have to stop and ask myself if I'm sure which one is which! I know it's so simple, but just never sticks in my brain unless I think "atrium = I can look down and see the atrium." Lol...
