Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Hello everyone. Can someone let me know what beer choices are available in boardwalk inn CL ? And my better half would like to know if anyone seen Baileys Irish creme as an option. Thank everyone for taking the time to help. Couple more days and Garden Cottage Woot.....

Just booked a quick 3 day trip for AKL Club Level for December!!! I should have booked a bounce back when we were there in May--oh well. Here's to hoping for discounts soon.

I have said the same thing after every trip in my signature - someday I'll learn! But that's one reason we got APs last fall, made financial sense given how often we were going and I've so far enjoyed the (moderately) better flexibility with discounts. Hope you have a great trip!

I should've taken a picture - we were just there. DH just told me he drank Bud Lite and Sam Adams. He said there was also Heineken, can't remember what else. Beer was kept in the refrigerator. Wine was on a rolling cart. Pretty sure we saw Baileys on the cart later at night!

Hi CL folks. This is one of those dangerous board questions but I'm just curious on perspectives here. DD has a birthday during our upcoming trip and I've been trying to figure out a plan to have some cake, blow out candles, sing, etc. For various reasons (travel / sleep schedules) we don't have a great restaurant option that day. I've been debating getting a small cake and having it in the lounge after nap time, roughly 2-4 PM. I'm not talking about a party, just 10-15 minutes of a 2 year old stuffing their face with cake that I'd rather not do in our room.

Our bias is to use the lounge as a communal space, not a personal living room, so I'm not so sure I'm OK with the idea. Any thoughts/opinions? Thanks in advance!

I don't see why you couldn't do that. Most people would be tickled to see a 2 year old blowing out candles! The CL lounges are generally pretty quiet between 2 and 4. I say go for it and have a blast!

Maybe we'll even see you there - it looks like you'll be at the Poly around the same time as us.

We did this same thing except it was after appetitzer time at AKL this past December. I forgot candles so I went to Jiko and they had some but no matches, so they sent me to the gift shop and they did! It was a mini scavenger hunt. Anyways, it worked out great, we handed out extra cake to the CMs and other guests, everyone was happy.

Congrats on booking AKL CL. I'm waiting/hoping for December discounts as well :rolleyes1.

Just added onto our November Yacht Club stay...added a couple nights at the GF (SL). 11/15-17 at GF, 17-23 at YC. Very excited.

How exciting...it's always fun adding nights :yay:.

I am going to say that the CL is a perfect spot to do this. Especially the upper floor, it seems quieter up there. The IPO was great about helping me plan this for an anniversary surprise for my DH :)

I say go for it! The Poly lounge would be perfect for that, and that time frame would be perfect too. When my girls were younger, we did this same thing and we ended up not having any candles. So just be sure to pack a couple just in case!

Anyone who would have a problem with that probably shouldn't be at Disney World...it's all about celebrating life and having a good time:)! We'll be at Poly the 26-31st so maybe we can sing along! I can hardly wait...we leave the 24th, but we have to visit FSU for my DD17 first.

i know exactly who you are talking about- we felt the same way.

That's what I find so frustrating! I've read multiple times about some of the Poly CL cast members, but why is this the case? I wish I had taken time to write down names...

Hi! We are wrapping up our end of November/beginning of December trip with two nights of Club Level @ AKL. Some of us have stayed club level before and other have not, so we decided to unwind after a busy week at Poly with some AKL beauty. I emailed the CM's to inquire about a few things and let them know it is a birthday/anniversary celebration trip. It was the beginning of last week when I emailed them and I still have not heard back. Is this typical? Do you recommend calling or emailing again?
I don't remember having a hard time hearing back in past trips. We are really excited about this part of the trip and I was excited to hear from someone!
Thanks in advance for any insight.

Thanks everyone for the replies on the cake/lounge question, much appreciated. If any of y'all that have overlapping trips see us in the lounge the afternoon of 7/23, say hi! Although if DD doesn't nap, is all hyped up on Disney/travel, and being a pill, I may deny any knowledge of DISBoards or these posts! <DS was so good at that age.... DD, eh, not so much...> Thanks again!

Did you get the auto-reply e-mail that says you'll get a response within 24 hours? I always get that e-mail within a few minutes and then the real response relatively quickly, never longer than a day. I'd say something must be up, either you mistyped the e-mail, it's caught in spam, or maybe Disney just botched it and missed your e-mail. I wouldn't hesitate to call or e-mail again, it's not normal for a response to take so long in my experience. Hope y'all have a wonderful trip - great time of year to go!

I did check spam and I did not get an auto-reply. I sent the email to the email address seen on these boards. :(
