Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

While we enjoyed our CL Poly stay last fall, we had one CM, a young girl from GA (actually from our hometown) that went above and beyond for us. We had ordered the 'Ohana feast from room service and had not touched our bread pudding, it had been in our fridge. When we were packing up to check out she went to the CM lounge and got me to go containers and packed it all up for us so that we could take it home to enjoy. In all of our club stays I have yet to experience any over the top friendly CMs though, and we are not demanding people.

We will be at Beach Club CL 8/19 to 8/23. Just stayed at YC CL in June and we became passholders while there. We also feel in love with Stormalong Bay so trying BC this time. Love the location of the Epcot resorts! Happy to see so many positive reviews of BC CL here lately.

Staying at Poly in Princess II 1/2-1/5

SO EXCITED! My parents will be joining us (they don't know it yet)....can't wait to tell them!!

Thanks mickeynut, any Disney trip is a nice trip! The lounge CM's were super nice and I liked that they had lemonade out as a drink choice during the day. Also their midday offerings seemed more substantial than some lounges I've seem, they had two types of tea sandwiches (cucumber and olive spread) and a crumb cake, along with white bean hummus, garlic onion dip and a ranch type dip with their wonderful house made chips. they were also encouraging people to eat up/make a light meal of the offerings, unlike some of the lounges where they frown on you taking more than a bite or two.

You're welcome! I agree, any Disney trip is nice ::yes::. BWI CL sounds amazing! I think I'll have to try it sometime.

Can't wait to be back in 12 days:smooth::yay:

Have a great trip :).

What a nice thing that for that CM to do! I love hearing about special little touches some CMs provide :).

Made the jump from a standard room (non club) at BWI to a Standard View Club Level BC for the end of the month! My parents have never stayed at the BC (YC once) and will love it I'm sure!

My husband and I just love the BWI CL CM! Jackie is one of the best CM we have ever met and we will be heartbroken if she is no longer at the BWI. When we last visited in March she did mention that her hours had been cut back with all the other cuts that were going on at the time. Anyone know if she is still there? Pete, Lorenzo, Anita and Lynn are all wonderful as well and they make it seem like we are coming home when we travel to Disney.
We were just there three weeks ago and miss our extended family already. Best CL CMs are at the BWI.

Thank you!! I am currently so excited I can't STAND it! I'm actually about to embark on my CURRENT WDW trip on Monday for a week at AKL!!! First time on property AND celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. I'm beyond excited!!! It will also be my parents first time on property when they go. We have dining plans, everything. I don't want them to lift a finger. ❤️

I am planning a trip for my family next June. We have loved the Poly CL the two times we have done it in the past, although some of the latest reviews have not been the best.

I am thinking of maybe doing a split to try another. I have narrowed it down to YCCL, BCCL, or BWICL. My DH wants GF, but I think that is just over budget.

I have three teens and type of food is most important.

Any suggestions? It would be a total of 6 or 7 nights, ending with the Poly. Thank you so much in advance!!

We like to split-stay with an Epcot resort and an MK resort; therefore, we get the best of both worlds! I gave a review and mentioned some Poly CL CM's not being overly friendly, but we had just come from BWI who has some of the best CM's in Disney so that may have tainted my views. In all honesty, we look at our CL vacation as more about which lounge is the most relaxing, offers the best views, and is easy to go back and forth to the pools -- Poly gives us that 110% and that's why it remains our favorite (along with GF RPC!). Other CL's may have better food offerings and outstanding CM's, but Poly wins in every other way and that is what matters most to our family.

As far as which Epcot CL to choose....we've stayed at BC CL and BWI CL. BC's lounge is a lot bigger (newly renovated to make it bigger), and the rooms are very nicely renovated as well. I think evening offerings are similar at both...same with breakfast. Both are polished and professional CL's. Both lounges give sort of an "enclosed" feeling -- there is not a large wall/window view like Poly/CR or an open view of the lobby like WL/AKL/RPC. We stayed in a deluxe room at BWI CL and it gave a lot of space which you might find works for your family with 3 teens. The BC CL has deluxe rooms but I'm thinking they are a total hike away from the lounge -- someone please correct me on that if I'm wrong. I looked into them in the past and it seems like that was my hold-back. But as far as which resort itself our family prefers, we love BC and that would probably be our choice -- love the lobby and the pool there. If you chose BC CL, you would just want to make your one and only main request "daybed" to make sure you don't end up getting a cot cause those are hard to fit in the rooms.

We were just there earlier this week and the hot appetizers for our 4 nights were the same as our last stay there. It's on PAGE 36 in this thread. Now that I've re-looked at Page 36, I see a few differences in the pairings of the hot appetizers, but the main things appear to be about the same. Earlier this week, the meatballs were cooked in a different sauce than last year's meatballs, that's one difference.

Let me find the page where I posted every night's offerings, and I'll come back and link it. I think the only night I don't have pictures of is the sushi night because nobody in my family likes sushi.

Thanks SO much!! Yeah, none of us eat sushi either!! I hope you enjoyed your trip!! We're very excited!

Yes, we enjoyed our trip very much! I posted a mini review in here and also in the Poly thread. We LOVE Poly CL -- it's our favorite along with RPC! Have a great time!

We've tried all three, though our most recent BWK stay was when the TS at the BWK was Cat Cora's place.

We like Bc and YC better, but a goo part of our preference is that we like the BC/YC pool better than the one at the BWK. We also like the general hotel layout better.

It probably didn't help that we had the last room at the far end of the hall when we stayed at the BWK. It was a very long walk to the main pool. We ended up using the much closer quiet pool, which was pretty nice, as quiet pools go. Beautiful grounds! and we had the hot tub to ourselves, so it was very relaxing after busy park days.

It also didn't help that we had a really bad meal at Cat Cora's place. The food and service were both horrible. We had okay CM's on the CL.

We have stayed at BC and YC a number of times, and had excellent service every time! Every hotel has a few pros and cons. the two 'downsides' of BC/YC versus some of the other CL's is that the lounges don't have the kind of view offered at Poly and CR's CL's. You also don't get the kind of MK transportation. You do get proximity to Epcot and HS.

Proximity-wise, they are all roughly similar. BWk's proximity to HS has a tiny edge. BC is slightly shorter to Epcot. But across the three, add in the boats...they are all similar.

Food...We liked the food at all three! Food at all the resorts varies over time. We've stayed at all the CL's, and several times at several of them. In some ways the food is similar at all CL"s, it also changes from visit to visit. It has been a while since I posted in this thread, but I sued to post regularly.

Perhaps I should have opened with - BC is one of our top two favorite CL's! We rank BC #1 in staff. also understand that basically BC and YC are one resort. They share ONE main kitchen. the only reason I don't rank YC the same as BC, is really only because we slightly prefer the theming of BC. We'd gladly go back to YC CL!

As I said, food varies over time, but where food was concerned, our most recent BC stay was the BEST stay we had at any CL. We really loved the additional fruit and yogurt offerings. The cost increases I could do without, but the food and service were excellent.

We like to split-stay with an Epcot resort and an MK resort.

We often do the same, though we tend to do BC/YC and CR.

We pick CR because being able to walk from the park is a BIG plus in our book. no matter how tired we get, we prefer walking back over transportation delays.

the other thing we didn't like about Poly was that none of the rooms are in the main building. If you want to go to dinner (anywhere on monorail line), and it is raining, monorail access is a nice plus.

CR's downside/Poly's upside is the overall theming, including the pool! CR's pool theming is downright dull. Poly has one of the best pool slides on property!

Thanks so much for your quick reply and providing pictures!!! The food looks really good!! Looking at the pictures just makes the trip feel so much closer! I can't wait to get there!!! I'm happy you had a good trip! I'll look back a couple to find your review. This summer has been so busy so I haven't been on much. Enjoy the rest of your summer and thanks again!

I am very excited that my husband and I will finally be returning to a club level room at the Boardwalk in December!! These rooms have been hard to get with a cast discount during a past few trips and I was finally able to get one today.:yay:. This will be my birthday trip, so I am excited to be at my favorite resort with my favorite cast members:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:!
We will be there December 6-13.

So I asked this yesterday but didn't get an answer.

I am staying in a standard DVC my TA gave me for next Thursday night, then Friday morning, checking into my CL room at the same resort.
Do I need to go downstairs and check out for my bands to work in CL?

If you do online check-in, you should be able to skip the front desk.

That said, with CL, you don't do check-in at the front desk. I'm not sure which resort you are at. Most of the time, a greeter meets you in front of the resort when you arrive.

Worse case, you'll need a CM to escort you to the Club level floor the first time you enter, and that is a good thing. The CM's will answer any questions you have, show you around the lounge. Some visits, if we arrive between food offerings, they've even offered to get us a drink or small snack.

In your case- you can GET BREAKFAST the morning of the day you check into CL! (assuming you are ready before the end of breakfast) So you should absolutely look into it!
