Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I am really curious about how other people use the Itinerary Planning Service. How much do you rely on the IPS? Do you let them make all your ADR's or just the hard to get reservations? Are they able to get the hard to book reservations like CRT or BOG? I love making all of our ADR's and have only used them for booking tours, babysitting and Wishes Dessert Party in the past. Just curious what others do.

Please take a minute and send an email with details (name if you remember, which ipo, date and time of call) to wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com!

I am so tired of hearing and experiencing lazy CM's. You would think in order to work IPO or CL they would have to have proofed themselves to be pretty stellar :/ does not seem like this lately.

My IPO is at the GF (although we are staying at the CR) and lately every call I made took at least 7 minutes of being on hold for someone. Never had to hold this long in previous visits... And then it's like Russian Roulette( with all chambers but one filled) getting someone "decent"...

They advertise the IPO as a service CL guests can utilize... They need to go back to treating guests right instead of making them feel like a burden. (Luckily there is still a few amazing CM's as well - just have to find them, ask for their name and figure out their work schedule )

I'll do that today!

Not much really.

I prefer to do it myself, I actually enjoy it.

Are they able to get the hard to book reservations like CRT or BOG?

If there's availability. It's not like they can secure an ADR that you can't get yourself. They see the same openings that you will if doing it yourself.

Ditto.

I'll do that today!

To warn you - you will get an email back that is just a typical "we got your email blah blah" however - in a few days someone will call you (include your reservation number). Guest services is amazing - I have not spoken to none "bad" CM after sending an email (good or bad). But like I said - give them a few days to reach out :)
They really need to know how te people who are answering the phones lately are acting :/

Apologies if this has been asked before. We are leaving next weekend for a 1 week stay at the Poly Club Level. My youngest of 3 is almost 2. She is immunosuppressed as she had a heart transplant at 6 days old. We were advised not to have her eat food from a buffet due to increased risk of germs and food poisoning. We are bringing food for her and she is very tiny and does not eat much. My question is - would a CM bring her out a dish of something straight from the kitchen if she really wanted something in particular? We try to treat her as normally as possible and I would love for her to enjoy something her siblings are having if she gets super excited over it. Thank you!

I would definitely call or email IPO and mention it. I would hope they accommodate your needs as they would an allergy, and Disney is great about that. My youngest was born with a heart defect. She has done very well with the standard intervention, but I have a friend whose daughter required a heart transplant and have another whose son was just listed. I hope your trip is magical for everyone!

I would email Poly IPO. I sent an email about my gsd's food allergies and received a wonderful one back in which they told me I would have an opportunity to speak worth the chef about the evening offerings and for breakfast I could order her meal from room service, to be charged to club level to make sure it was safe.

TigrLvsPooh When you are back online with us....could you add us (The O'Reilly crew) to Poly CL July 2-7....going in for a 2nd try...with husband in tow. LOL We were married on the 4th of July so we look forward to that great Oasis pool and whatever experience CL brings us! Hey the view is priceless!

They might not be able to do it with all items. For example, once there was a cheese tray with something on it it couldn't have and they didn't have any more cheese in the back- it was all in that tray. So I think they will for most things but just be prepared that they might not be able to for all things.

I hope the trip is magical for the whole family!

I have emailed IPO for AKL numerous times over the years. The auto response email states that someone will respond within 24 hours but I have never had it take that long. They are always very prompt, many times responding within 30-45 minutes. We have had some of the same CMs respond back for several years. This year there was a small issue with my dining reservations- I woke up and did not have my email confirmation. Somehow they had missed making them. They apologized profusely and got me all my reservations within 5 minutes of my requests-- even pre park opening CRT! I have had to wait on hold a little bit on occasion when calling, but never had any issues with email. Seems like actual telephone calls are starting to be a thing of the past with lots of things in life. However, I also believe emails can get missed. If the IPO hasn't emailed you back in 24 hours I would send a follow up email. I have nothing but good things to say about the CMs for AKL. My only disappointment is the evening kid offerings but from the recent reports I'm just going to have to get over that issue .

Someone asked earlier about champagne at the CL lounges. I am also wondering about this. Our last stay at the Grand Floridian was amazing. We stayed in SL. We have stayed CL at the Polynesian many times, the WL, YC, BWI, RPC & SL. Our last stay at SL was the best ever. We were there in November of 2015. The service was impeccable. The food and drink offerings were very good also. It reminded me of our experiences at Ritz Carlton's. It has been a few years since we stayed at the GF. My boys favorite resort is the Polynesian. I was blown away by how much the CL at SL has improved since our last stay. We are now planning our summer trip. Have any of the other resorts increased their food and drink offerings in the CL or just the Grand Floridian? The last time we were there champagne was definitely not available. Neither was hard boiled eggs at breakfast. This was the first time for both. It was nice to have these little extra treats. I have read a few reviews that speak highly of the changes at the Beach Club. We did stay CL at the WL a few weeks ago. There was no comparison to SL. I do realize that it is cheaper. It was not bad at all. All of the cast members were amazing at the WL. They went above and beyond to help us with any needs we had during our stay. There is definitely not a consistency across the board with the CL lounges as far as offerings go. I have experienced several in the last year. I really have no problem with that considering that they all have different costs. I expect to receive more from the ones that I pay more for. I am just trying to get a good idea of how to compare the ones I have not been to in the past year. It has been a year and a half since we have been to the Polynesian CL. Have they increased their offerings also? They are comparable in price to the BC and the GF. This makes me wonder if they have made changes also. Thank you for any input and help you can give me.

Was the WL CL lounge still in the hallway when you were there, or was it in the VP suite?

We are going on our 4th day here at RPC. As far as cutbacks, we are not noticing many. No welcome gift, of course. We still have nightly turndown with chocolates and a little good night card:

Also, there is still champagne at night....and water bottles are given out whenever requested. Then after 10 pm, water bottles are placed in the little refrigerators with the pop.

Texting service for FP's has been great. The first couple days we weren't having any luck. But the last 2 days have been great -- I guess what has been so helpful is when we're in one park and want a FP for a different park and they secure that for us.

The food at night doesn't appear to be lacking. This is our first RPC stay, but I can say the food here is comparable to BC. There really is a large selection -- Im taking lots of pictures. Meat and cheese platter is still here for breakfast. The afternoon has a lot of stuff -- scones, tarts, banana bread, veggies, goldfish, etc. Way more options than at both BC and Poly.

I will post more when we get home. I just wanted to check in cause I know there has been a lot of chatter about cutbacks. RPC is still going strong!

Thanks for posting and glad you had a nice trip! The CL CM's seem to be hit or miss at every CL, which is really unfortunate. We've stayed at both BC and Poly CL's often enough that we know which CM's to avoid because they won't help us, sadly.

We will be having our first RPC trip in March. Over on the GF thread, there is current talk about the hot apps. Did you happen to take any pictures or have any comments about the quality? Thanks so much!
Hello All

We will be going to WDW this Christmas pre and post our DCL trip. We will stay BC CL pre and Poly CL post (TPV). This will be our first time doing CL and I'm very excited. :yay: I'm hoping the CMs are nice as I wouldn't know who to avoid. What a shame.

Quick question. With the TPV at Poly should I still ask for the 3rd floor for best view and a balcony? Which side is TPV, is it only the side facing the lake? I've tried looking for pictures of Hawaii post DVC construction. Can anyone post a picture of what it looks like now? TIA

That sounds like an awesome trip! Yes, Poly CL TPV rooms are only on the side facing the lake and are located on the second and third floors. Not all of the second and third floor rooms are TPV, a couple have a tree or something that make them LV. I am under the impression all (or most?) of the first floor rooms are now LV since the Bungalows have been built, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong here. If you want a balcony, definitely request the third floor - no balconies on the second floor. FWIW, when I have stayed Poly CL TPV my rooms requests are third floor (first priority) and close to the lounge (second priority). I wouldn't cry in my Cheerios about not being close to the lounge but I do love me some balcony!

Here's my view photo from the third floor last year.

This was also taken last year, but a couple of rooms to the right of the one above.

Wow! Thanks for the awesome pictures! Now I'm even more excited. Not sure which part, the Disney cruise or CL at WDW. Either way I'm at Disney! :santa:

Happy Easter everyone!:flower:
I emailed the BWI IPO this morning with a couple of questions. I hit send at 11:25am. I had a helpful reply answering my questions at 11:37am.
There are still folks at the IPO who are working hard to assist us with our CL vacations. :daisy:

Do they still have hard boiled eggs??? I'm celiac so I'm always looking for food with gluten and that contains some substance :)
