Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Not all CLs offer this service either. BC CL did for a while, but I think only GF and CR do it now... although several of the others have done it for trial periods.

BC still had the texting service as of March 8th (when we checked out) :) ... Hopefully they still do. It didn't sound like it was going away any time soon, although with all the cutbacks I don't think we can count on anything right now. We used the service quite a bit while at the BC and the GF. They couldn't always get us exactly what we wanted, but often they could and when they couldn't they let us know which FPs were still available.

Interesting! Either they brought it back, or CMs were telling people they didn't have it anymore when they actually did...which is very likely! I remember someone at CR posting they didn't offer it only to find out that that was incorrect when they asked someone else! I can't stand know it all CMs that actually don't know much!

And we are typically only able to get 4th FPs for things like Winnie the Pooh (which we like;))

I remember those posts, and I was getting worried, but I am happy to say that they had the texting service when we were there. It's easy to not notice the number on the welcome letter if they don't point it out when you check in. We were able to get late FPs for Test Track, Space Mountain, and BTMRR. Like you, I really like Winnie the Pooh. I didn't ride those other ones (but the rest of my family did).

As gwynne posted, payments can only be made through the main number (or online), but IPO is there to help with any trip planning, questions, etc :).
 

TJA - beutiful view! Looks like you're either in the same or somewhere to the left of the room I was in last month. Hope you are enjoying your stay. Have to ask, what's your initial Poly vs GF CL impression?

Do all club levels offer champagne? We last stayed at GF RPC CL in January and they had Mumm Napa. I LOVE champagne :) We are staying at YC CL in May and am hoping they offer it too. Thanks!
 
Hi all. I know that you get a DVD player in club room( we are staying AKL) but can you still borrow dvd from club lounge? Thanks all

My first thoughts....the rooms are nicer here at GF and the lounge food is also better here. However, I think the Poly wins as far as the views from the beach and main pools, and the overall ambiance is more relaxed at Poly. three more days to go here! I thought my room view seemed similar to yours -- we are further away from the lounge than you were I think, and that's my fault for not requesting close to lounge. Still, it's definitely not a far walk.

I like them all:)!!! Although I can only take Space Mountain in small doses -lol!
 
Apologies if this has been asked before. We are leaving next weekend for a 1 week stay at the Poly Club Level. My youngest of 3 is almost 2. She is immunosuppressed as she had a heart transplant at 6 days old. We were advised not to have her eat food from a buffet due to increased risk of germs and food poisoning. We are bringing food for her and she is very tiny and does not eat much. My question is - would a CM bring her out a dish of something straight from the kitchen if she really wanted something in particular? We try to treat her as normally as possible and I would love for her to enjoy something her siblings are having if she gets super excited over it. Thank you!

Seriously? That is part of their job. Or it was. Hard to tell with all the cutbacks, but that is what the IPO office is for. :(

Which IPO? Are you looking for a very hard to get reservation? If it were me, I'd send my requests in an email to them. They should be able to help with this, or let you know if there is no availability for your preferred date/time. You are correct that assisting with reservations is something they are supposed to do. I hope you have better luck with a second try. :goodvibes

It might be helpful if you email or call the Poly IPO with your question. They can note things like this in your reservation, as well as hopefully give you an answer. Wishing you a wonderful vacation.:beach:

Glad y'all are enjoying it. There are definitely some pros from my perspective, I've finally determined it was my own preconceived notions of GF that set the tone for our trip. Despite a few of my gripes, I've actually kind of been missing GF! :scared1: Hope y'all have a grand rest of the trip.

Hmmmm.... You either 1) accidentally called somewhere other than IPO, 2) got an incredibly ignorant and untrained IPO CM, 3) IPO dining reservation assistance is on the chopping block!!! :confused3:confused3:confused3

I am so tired of hearing and experiencing lazy CM's. You would think in order to work IPO or CL they would have to have proofed themselves to be pretty stellar :/ does not seem like this lately.

My IPO is at the GF (although we are staying at the CR) and lately every call I made took at least 7 minutes of being on hold for someone. Never had to hold this long in previous visits... And then it's like Russian Roulette( with all chambers but one filled) getting someone "decent"...

They advertise the IPO as a service CL guests can utilize... They need to go back to treating guests right instead of making them feel like a burden. (Luckily there is still a few amazing CM's as well - just have to find them, ask for their name and figure out their work schedule )

I completely agree with this. I just checked and on the WDW website for every Club Level they advertise "Pre-Arrival WDW Planning" as an amenity.
