Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Thank you. I would definitely prefer to be inside those doors too. I would also prefer a quieter room where I can sit on my balcony and have a little more privacy. Boardwalk view would probably not provide that :0)
Did you find the lounge to be adequate for seating? It looks like there are not many tables in pictures I've seen.
It can get a little crowded during peak time but it was never unmanageable. We found the offerings were good, plentiful and the CM s were on top of refilling.

We just booked GF SL for this May. We've never even stepped inside the GF before. We've just ridden past it on the monorail. We weren't really looking for it particularly but we got a great deal. We've stayed CL at the BCR and loved it. Last time we didn't stay CL and missed it terribly. Now I'm reading everything I can my hands on about the GF and SL. It sounds amazing so far! Trying to decide what room requests to make for standard view. Can you see the fireworks from there very well? Are there windows in the SL club? Any trip reports you can point me to? I'm looking but have only found a couple so far. Thanks!!!

I've read a few posts asking about the BWI lounge and whether it ever feels crowded. We were there 19th-24th December and always managed to find a seat. We absolutely loved it and have booked again for next December followed by a CL stay at the Contemporary.

Hi looking for opinions we are staying 3 nights at AOA then to BC kids are 17 and 20 thinking about an upgrade if we get a water view it is$358.00 more if we do club level it is $708.00 for standard view and $736 for garden view or $933 for water view my son likes to eat a lot lol!! This will be for 5 nights and a 3 day hopper!! thanks!!

I got my email from IPO at the Poly today!! So exciting, but I do have a question: what has been your experience letting the IPO make your ADR's? I know that's what they're there for, but I'm also a Type A control freak when it comes to my Disney vacations! Is it stressful or not to let them do the work for you? TIA!!

Just one person's opinion, but I prefer to do them myself. I used them on one of my trips and spent more time worrying about if they'd do them promptly at the 6 month window date/time. I was surprised/pleased with their promptness that day actually. I just prefer to be more in control and be able to make on the fly reservation decisions if something isn't available or the time is a bit off of what I had wanted. I do recommend calling to give them your credit card for the file in case you do need something along the way. I had something wrong with my ADR for HDDR for an upcoming trip and they had it fixed with a few e-mails.

Very exciting! My recent experience with them (Yacht and Beach Club) was fantastic, they booked everything that I wanted and have given me great advice. They were very prompt at telling me what they had arranged also. They called me for my card details to secure ADR. I would recommend it, even though I too am a control freak - I just figured they would have access to everything and it is their job. I have changed a few things around since they organised for me - only as my plans have changed.
However I actually find it very fun to plan :-) Maybe thats my Event Manager (bossy) side coming out.
I hope you have a really fantastic time :tink:

Staying in the RPC in GF August 13-20! My mum and her partner are joining us, but they are in the outer building. Trying to convince them to upgrade as well.......

RPC is amazing, I'm sure you'll have a great time! :wizard:

Hello everyone! I hope you are all well! We had a great trip in November at WL CL! We are now planning this November's trip! Our friends who travel with us just stayed at the Lodge the beginning of February and said we should definitely stay somewhere else this year because of all the construction. We have only done WL CL and I know I'll be sad, but I understand.

I wanted to come to you guys because I know you're the most experienced in CL!! We are torn between AK CL and BC CL. I am a picky eater, as well as my kids! Just wanted to see if there is anything we would eat (during dinner hours). At WL, they often had chicken tenders which came in very handy!!!! Are the offerings strictly African selections at AK? I saw in one review about a year ago they had a 'kids table' with food. Is that still there? Do both CL have a kids area for coloring and a TV? Also, are either open past 10:00? Thanks for everything!!!

I can't help with food offerings as we've never stayed CL at either resort, but hopefully others will be able to compare the two for you :flower3:.

Well, our trip is almost here and I can't believe it!! Day after tomorrow and we will be at the Beach Club! So looking forward to celebrating our 44th anniversary on Thursday at our favorite vacation destination. I really wish we could have gotten a room at the BWI, but it has been so difficult to get my cast discount there the past few trips.

I have come to enjoy the Beach Club and Jim loves sitting in the lobby people watching. We have great meals planned and will wander into Epcot and Magic Kingdom a little, but will hope for nice weather to enjoy laying outside.

Hope you're having a great time :).

DH and I will be celebrating our 20th and dd graduation in July.

Sounds like a great celebration trip :goodvibes.

Congratulations on 44 years. We'll be arriving at the BC this Saturday. I really hope we get nice weather, too. :)

Have a great trip! :wizard:

Have a great trip! We love the BWI as well and will be "at home" in a little over a week. I think we are getting this crazy cold weather up north so that we will appreciate the sun at Disney. I am so ready for warmth.

Hope you have a great time and the weather is warm :sunny:.

Like the pp, I always make my own ADRs as I like to be able to make changes right at that time should something I want not be available when I want it. I also enjoy doing it as planning is half the fun for me. With that said, IPO is great if you don't have time or don't want to take the time to make ADRs :).

The GF is amazing, I think you'll have a great time! The rooms in SL have views of either the marina or courtyard/courtyard pool, both of which are nice (IMO). There are no views from the lounge as it's located in the lobby of the SL building, so there are no windows. Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

We aren't ones to book views, so I'd opt to upgrade to CL. I wouldn't spend an extra $200 for CL with a water view, but I would spend the extra $28 for GV CL over standard view CL (but that's just me). Good luck deciding :).

I was going to ask a similar question. We are staying at AKL CL from 4/17-22, and I had heard that they had recently changed the afternoon offerings, eliminating the kids area/offerings. I emailed IPO to inquire, and the response was that it was changed due to allergy concerns, and that they now had a Chef stage there offering African Stew, but she didn't identify any other options. I followed up to see what else is offered, as I have a couple of picky eaters, but have not heard back. Has anyone stayed there recently that can tell me what some of that afternoon offerings are now? My kids are so excited to stay at AKL for the first time - we all are! - but CL is a splurge and I'm a little concerned about the change. Thanks!

I think I cut and pasted incorrectly - I was trying to reply to question on the previous page! Long-time lurker, first-time poster!!

thanks for your opinion I also found out that the garden view does not have a day bed only the water view does can anyone confirm thanks!!

Mickeynut1 - thanks for your reply!
Although I didn't get any replies, we decided to let the kids pick where we'll stay this year!! We showed them videos of both AKL CL and BC CL. After seeing the food and the animals right from the room, they were set on AKL!! So I booked it last night! (Although I didn't tell them yet!) I'm very excited to try someplace new!

AKL is amazing, I think you made a great choice! And CL makes it extra special. Happy planning! :daisy:

You're welcome :).

I can't confirm about the daybed, but if you don't get any response here on the CL thread, you might try asking on the BC/YC FAQ (if you haven't already ;)).

I agree :thumbsup2.

Thanks so much! I think it's a resort we can all enjoy!

::yes::

Got to our room at the Beach Club and have an awesome view of The pool and the Boardwalk. We are on the club level, but no greeters outside .
I asked where I check in and was told to go to the front desk like everyone else and the cast member then escorts you up. I asked the cast member when this started and she said on Monday and it will be property wide. I am not being snobby, but I always got a kind of thrill to be greeted outside and escorted upstairs.

I called Delta today due to a change they made on our reservations. They offered me a much better flight down, arriving mid-afternoon rather than evening. I just made reservations at Chefs de France for dinner our first night. Can't wait for April at YC CL! :beach:

That is disappointing. We really pay a premium for CL, have done it every trip, and I am beginning to question whether or not it is worth it. Like you said, it is not a matter of being snobby, it is a matter of getting what you pay for. Were you handed off to a CL CM for the lounge tour or just brought to your room?
