Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Poly CL was great. The "quiet" pool started construction the week after we left. Can't wait to see how that turns out.

Glad to hear you thought Poly CL was great. We love the Poly and are excited to try CL later this year and it's nice reading positive comments about it :). I also can't wait to see the quiet pool once it's done.

Anita and Lorenzo are about the nicest CMs ever in Disney - we have one other favorite and that is Regina at the YC CL. Lorenzo and Anita would talk with us everyday. We had 5 kids with us and the kids loved them as well. They made us feel like family. Two of our DDs sing and Lorenzo would start singing with them. The BWI CL is on the top of the list just for them. We do also get the Deluxe room with the Boardwalk view - it is the greatest room.

I am always reading comments just like yours about BWI CL as it seems to be one of the top CLs that get very positive ratings :goodvibes.

Have a great time at Poly. It is tied for #1 with RPC at GF for us. Nice CMs, good food options great view of wishes and of course POG juice. I still can't wean my kids off that stuff. We make it at home all the time!!

Love the BWI CL staff! Have to agree with many of the OP above though that sometimes at some of the CL if you are not a regular it can get uncomfortable. This is what put us off the RPC at the GF many years ago. We had visited there a couple of times over the years and could not imagine staying any place else. Much to my surprise on our last visit (many years ago) we felt ignored and not wanted and much of this was because of a couple of groups that the CM spent an enormous amount of time with and didn't want to be bothered with the rest of the guests. I didn't recognize any of them as being famous but who knows? We have stayed at the BWI CL ever since and we are finally returning to the RPC at the GF in Feb. for a few nights before heading to the BWI CL. Hoping and expecting it to be a wonderful trip.

I saw quite a bit of this at Sugar Loaf last month. I ended up talking to one of the families and it turned out they had spent Christmas Eve there every year for the last 15 years. So the staff is family to them. I get it. But it is uncomfortable for those of us who aren't regulars, it's hard to not feel ignored or shunned. It was my Christmas vacation too and I was having Magic Band issues the first two days. I literally stood at the desk for 30 minutes while the CMs chatted with another family about their kids' swimming and diving season.

And you know what the CM said after he finally acknowledged me? "Can you come back later today, my scanner isn't working" So I stood there for nothing.

I "get" that they have favorites and all. But if I am standing there waiting for something (something that I'm paying for...) I get upset if they are just chit-chatting for a long time. Especially when it's all the CMs, so there is no way to get help. Honestly, someone needs to help the people who need help and then they can continue the conversation...

This has happened to us before. It kind of makes you wonder if your money is just as good as the next person? I get the whole annual Christmas trip and familiar faces but I can't understand why this happens sometimes. I guess it all depends on who you cross paths with. Some CMs are just friendlier than others.

If Disney hires me to redesign and coordinate club level continuity I'll address the issue! :rotfl:
Joking aside, that's a great idea I think!!! :thumbsup2

You almost feel like the second cousin that got invited to the wedding but you get the worst table in the back and no one talks to you. It really is an uncomfortable feeling and I really hated it when we were treated that way at the RPC. When staying CL I think everyone should feel special and pampered and when you feel like your bothering the CM by asking them to do there job it's very awkward. I am not one of those guests that need much attention but you must be an angel because I can't imagine waiting a half an hour to be acknowledged at the CM desk!

I get what you are saying. The CMs in the lounge can make a difference in your experience. There was a CM at Poly ,(little gray haired guy with some pep) can't remember his name but he was great! Always in a good mood and made sure you had whatever you needed. I really appreciated that.
I love Him.. He was so sweet. There was also a cranky girl there that was just not nice

I thought this was just me. They can chat on and on about nothing while I am standing there waiting.

I would have lost my sh*t if that happened to me. On the dis podcast they talk about customer service lacking, and not being what it used to- that really is true. I've been a lot in the last 2 years and the responses we've gotten and in general just bad customer service is disappointing....

We just got back Wednesday from our first club level experience. We were at the Wilderness Lodge and had the unfortunate timing to be part of the temporary relocation of their club level. The Old Faithful Club has been closed, half of the resort is closed, they have taken away the window view on the seventh floor, moved the food and beverages onto two tables on the balcony, and the only seating area right now is on the north side of the balcony. It is a temporary location until they can move into the vice presidential suite. That will be temporary until they completely remodel the two honeymoon suites on the north side of the lodge, turning them into the new Old Faithful Club. They expect this to take about eleven months. They also said that there will no longer be any seating on the balcony area overlooking the lobby. The lounge will have a MK view instead. It will be a big change for club level.

The food is coming from the Artist Point kitchen and it was very good. The club level staff were fantastic and I learned a lot about the remodeling and construction plans for the WL. But I was extremely disappointed to have the view of Bay Lake blocked off and inaccesible. I was looking forward to that.

I'll post a few pictures later. It has been a busy week.

Goodness, that temporary relocation (before the next temporary relocation) doesn't sound nice at all. I'm glad the food from Artist's Point was good, we like that restaurant.
I totally understand why you were disappointed about the view. I would have been, too.
I'm not sold on the changes, I loved the view over the lobby from the CL tables. I guess we'll have to wait and see the finished product. I hope it's thoughtfully done.

Thanks....I'm really looking forward to it :goodvibes. How nice to hear that Poly CL ranks right up there with RPC for you. Having stayed RPC, I do agree it's amazing! In addition to RPC, I've only stayed GF SL and WL CL and I rank WL CL a very close second to RPC. The CL CMs are wonderful and I love the lounge. If the juice in CL is the same as what's served at Ohana, I won't be able to get enough of it as I love that stuff ;).

I'm sorry about your last experience in RPC. I hope your February trip is much better :).

I'm sorry about the relocation of the lounge during your stay. I didn't even know they were redoing WL CL , but it sounds like they're making some big changes.

Same here, we love Artist Point! I'm with you on the changes. The view of the lobby from the CL tables is one of the things I love about WL CL, I will be very sad to see that go :(.

Gladly, we didn't encounter any cranky cast members while there but I know there are some out there!!

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the Boardwalk view club rooms and the standard view??.... other than the view of course. Room size and configuration??
Also does the Innkeepers lounge close or can you stop by at the end of the day and get a drink from the cooler?
