Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the Boardwalk view club rooms and the standard view??.... other than the view of course. Room size and configuration??
Also does the Innkeepers lounge close or can you stop by at the end of the day and get a drink from the cooler?
No difference in the BWI rooms except for the view with a couple of exceptions. I know two or three of the boardwalk rooms that are outside of the Innkeepers door are different than the other rooms with a hallway into the room. I'm sure someone will come on and talk about those rooms. They have also been adding rooms on the fourth floor to the CL and I have never stayed in them so I don't know if they are any different. Gee, sorry I'm not being all that helpful!

The lounge door is shut at ten pm (sometimes a little sooner) so try to remember to put a drink or two into your in room fridge the day you arrive. They open back up about 6:30 am. I Love, Love the BWI CL and I hope you have a great trip.

Thank you. That WAS helpful!! Glad to hear you love BW. We just booked today and I am second guessing myself. I always do this to myself:confused3
Sugarloaf was also available at GF but we have stayed RPC before and wanted to go somewhere we haven't stayed yet. Any suggestions for room requests in a standard room? I'm not familiar with the layout or where the lounge is located. Was there any problems with seating in the lounge when you were there. It seems a little small???

It's a great lounge. I stayed there in November and liked it. People did have to sit in the couch at peak breakfast times, but I don't think anyone was unable to sit somewhere.

Due to absolutely loving our Christmas stay at BWI CL I rebooked on the bounceback offer. I've booked a deluxe boardwalk view room - I know that there are five on floor 3 and five on floor 4. Does anyone know if any of the rooms are outside of the Innkeepers door?

I also booked Sugarloaf for summer - we've not stayed here before as last summer we stayed at RPC. We're really looking forward to both trips.

Other than the ones on the 3rd floor, no.

Actually there is at least one deluxe CL room on 4 outside the Inkeeper's Club door. It is on the left, just before you walk into room where the Club level CM'S sit at their desks. Walk a few more steps and you run into the Inkeeper's Club door. It's been awhile since we had that room, but I do remember thinking the view from it was lovely.

Thanks for the correction. My memory sure isn't what it used to be.

Re. the BWI CL, I'm sure I read somewhere that there are now an additional 11/12 rooms outside the keyed access door? In addition there was a rumour more rooms will also be added to the CL inventory. Not sure how I feel about staying CL at the BWI if that is the case, how will the lounge cope with increased numbers?

I don't understand it. I have always thought the BWI CL lounge was beautiful but such a tiny food service area. On my last stay there in summer of 2014 the crowd was so thick around the food you had to line up and push your way through like trying to watch the 3:00 parade! :rotfl:
With so many CLs changing and expanding maybe they have plans to reconfigure. I think they could easily convert the entire left side of the lounge into a horseshoe shaped food area. Give three counters instead of one to distribute the crowd. That is what saved the BC CL! ::yes::

I don't know about the rooms outside of the Inkeeper's club door, but 4227 is the room we had and it was perfect! Close to the lounge and a great BW view. :D

CL just doesn't seem the same any more :( I'm still thinking about you know where for next time, will let you know if/when ;)

It's a love/hate relationship! ;) Looking back over my trip we really didn't benefit from having CL at the GF. The kids rarely went down for breakfast, and when they did they just ate cereal. We only made it back for hot apps I think twice. Was it worth $1500 extra for that? I could have bought a box of cereal. :rotfl2:

The lounge does look very small and that worries me a bit. What time of year did you go?

Gladly, we didn't encounter any cranky cast members while there but I know there are some out there!!

We have been lucky as well as we've never encountered any cranky CMs, although I'm sure there are some out there :sad2:.

I totally get the second guessing! There are so many great resorts that it's hard to choose, especially when it comes to CL. I think you'll have a good time, but if (for some reason) you don't care for BWI CL, at least you will have given it a try and won't always wonder about it ;).

Some lounges get so crowded that it's crazy, but BWI CL seems to be one that I haven't really heard any horror stories about it being so crowded that it was unbearable :).

Sounds like you have 2 great trips in the works! Enjoy the planning :wizard:.

Thank you for all the replies.

As regards the lounge at the BWI, we were there over the Christmas period and didn't find it crowded. Sometimes at breakfast it was busy but during the rest of the time there was always room. We moved over to the CR for the last five night of our trip and found their lounge to be busier. The CMs at the BWI were awesome!

Has anyone tried (and found success) with having their concierge book dining or tour reservations for AFTER their checkout date? I'm staying at Poly club level for only 2 nights before moving to Shades of Green for a week. I tried asking our planning office about this and they replied with "possibly" and "maybe." It sounded like something they normally don't do, but exceptions could be made. I know I can totally make these ADR's myself, but if we have a concierge, we might as well use it.
I asked this once and was told no but I'm sure it's variable depending on whom you ask.
