Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I just asked this over on the Poly board but I'm looking for some room help. I tried to get an AP rate for three nights at the Poly CL lagoon view and of course no go. All three views of CL show availability but for rack rate only. While talking to the CM they mentioned they did have an AP rate at the Tonga building in the king bed honeymoon room that is $200 less than my CL room. Do I take the Tonga room or stay in the lagoon view CL room? My biggest problem is the walk to the lounge and the fact that it's a suite on the first floor. I know that I could get a ground floor room at the club level long house but I am strongly asking for second or third floor. Any help would be great.

Just to note if you didn't know. The honeymoon suites have a large whirl pool tub. I believe a TPV too. The Tonga building also has a lounge so you don't HAVE to go to Hawaii lounge. It would be fun to have 2 options

Also with construction currently Tonga is away from all of it whereas Hawaii is adjacent.

Lastly, with suites you tend to get extras. the furnishings will be better as well.

I would switch but if an upper floor is the most important than you should stay. Remember however lagoon view rooms are mostly on the first and the 2nd floor and the 2nd floor does not have a balcony.

I love poly CL and would take any room good luck choosing.

Do you think it is worth upgrading from art of animation cars suite to wl deluxe room with club level? The price difference is $3000 for a week. The deluxe room had two queens, a living room with a queen pullout and a wet bar with microwave, fridge and coffee maker. We are dvc and I'm a bit leery of staying in a value.

I actually have the same dilemma! I have a trip planned with dd20 and 2 friends. I really really prefer deluxe especially cl.

I chose AoA however. In the end I decided spending that much money for other people's children wasn't the best way to spend MY money.

If I was going with my mom and dad and wanted 2 sleeping areas but wanted to be together then I would choose to spend the $$$.

When I travel with my dh is the only time I spend rack rate. He usually only goes once a year and wants a king bed , deluxe and if kids with us , they in a separate room. I do a 2br villa for those trips.

I think with 3 young ladies staying value will work but only because it's a suite. I stayed at pop in 2012 and it was ok but just not as magical as my MK area resort trips.

We've never stayed at AoA (or any value), but we love the WL! $3,000 is a lot of money, but if the extra cost is doable, I'd definitely switch. The WL is amazing in itself, but CL just adds to it, IMO. The lounge is nice with plenty of seating that overlooks the lobby, the food offerings are great, and the CL CMs are very friendly and helpful. I'm sure you'll have a great time no matter where you stay, but my choice would be the WL deluxe CL room. Good luck.

Thank you for the response to my question. After sleeping on it I called back and checked on some other rates for CL for those three nights. We got a decent discount for the GF TPV CL so we booked that. It was cheaper than either of the Poly room options and I don't have to worry about being on the ground floor or walking through the rain to reach the lounge or the monorail. Just as a heads up the Tonga honeymoon suite faces the water but is not considered a TPV because the castle is blocked by the corner of another longhouse. We have stayed at the GF RPC before but it was at least 12 years ago so I'm happy about the decision to change. I guess I was just not in the stars for us to stay at the POLY.

I have stayed at rpc just last year and wow the food was amazing! I also stayed in gf in sl this summer.

I cant say for that resort but we stayed CL at the BC last year and CL at the BWI last week and they didnt have bottled water out - they had a carafe of ice water. If you ask a host they will give you mini bottles of Dasani to take to your room

At BWI last week, if you asked, they would get small bottles of water for you.

Hi fellow Disney peeps!!!
I am so excited to report to those that get how exciting this is....I just booked 2 trips back to the World! I am coming Jan 17th, 2016 for a mother/son trip staying at CR CL TPV 12th floor. (Is that the atrium?). Then I just booked a week at the BWI CL March 27, 2016 for spring break family trip.
Can't wait to soak in all the CL tips and tricks from this knowledgeable board the next few months!

Just booked the GF CL for a short stay Feb. 23-26 before moving on to the BWI CL. We haven't stayed here in years and I'm wondering if anyone has a list of night time offerings and do the CM pour your drinks in the evening for you? I have heard of this happening now at the YC but it is still self serve at the BWI and wondering how the evening alcoholic drinks are handled at the GF. I started reading over at the GF board but that is a lot of reading!

They just poured my drinks earlier in the month. But they were healthy pours and weren't judgy about how much you drank. They also gave me a huge cup of wine in a to go coffee cup when I was going to food and wine after apps. They were great. I have celiac so there wasn't as much I could have besides the cheese and chips. but they were solo good that I was fine with that.

I'm not sure when the AP discount came out for early winter, but I was just giving a heads-up in case this was just released because I was able to apply it to my February RPC trip a few minutes ago!

a few CL questions - is it considered 'rude' if i filled up the kid's sippy cups with juice? or our own bottles with water? how about if i grab a cookie or other snack to take to the room/pool/park? I wouldn't plunder, promise!! Could I bring a cup of wine/beer back to my room to enjoy it there while the kids slept? I guess my bottle line question is - is it appropriate to leave the lounge with goodies?

When are you going to WL? Its going to be a huge construction zone for awhile and those deluxe rooms will be directly in front of all of it, since they face the front of the resort. We are DVC too and have stayed at AoA and liked it but we have small kids that thought it was amazing. I dont think you'll be let down, the rooms are nice and the 2 full bathrooms are great. Think of it as a studio with an extra bedroom.

Depending on which cl you stay in I have seen juice boxes stocked and you can take them back to your room.

Refilling personal containers. Just ask in the lounge. I think there is a contamination issue I have read on the boards before. I think if you first poured the juice (the orange and cranberry usually in a container) into the cups provided then pour that into your own cup would work.

I go for a glass of wine at 4pm and take back to my room to enjoy while I get "dolled up" for the evening.

I often grab a glass after appetisers and run it back to the room in case we get back after 10pm.

I always take a plate or two of cookies or snacks as well. As long as you don't take ALL the cookies you are fine.

Also when traveling with my son I often requested milk to take to the room. Since he was a teen I asked for more than one and they would give me as many as I could carry(4-6).
