Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Erika, my dates are a little bit off for the BC guest list. I wish we were going from July 21st to August 6th, but alas, we will only be staying from July 31st - August 5th. :)

Hello everyone. We (husband, two daughters 16 and 10...will be 17 and 11 by our next trip..., and myself) are considering staying club level for the first time in April. We love Beach Club (for it's proximity to Epcot. We really enjoy walking around WS and Boardwalk at night and of course SAB), and we recently fell in love with Grand Floridian...for it's beauty and elegance. As I am pricing cl, it seems that the Grand (Sugar Loaf) is only $100 more than BC due to the fact that we have to buy park hoppers to go to Epcot nightly when staying at BC So, opinions between the two? Any advice? It's such a difficult decision because we love them both! So, I was just wanting to hear about your personal experiences and your opinions for our family.

We like both BC and GF. When trying to decide which resort you want between the two, I think you have to think about where you will be spending most of your time. SAB is definitely my favorite pool (although GF has nice pools too). Getting to MK from BC is a pain, IMO, so if you will be spending a lot of time there, you may want to consider that. I love BC's proximity to Epcot and HS, but BC also has smaller rooms than GF. Food at the GF is a bit better than BC, IMO, although I do love some of the things they've added to BC (like the grits from Cape May Cafe). If you can't decide between the two, you could do a split stay! My DH doesn't like having to pack/unpack again, but I don't mind that much. Let us know what you decide!

Sorry about that! :) Wishful thinking on both our parts. :D

It's hard to tell how bad the view will be once construction starts, but hopefully you can get an idea as to which side you might want to request.

Yes, I read more positive reviews than I do negative :). I know what you mean about getting great deals on other resorts. AKL CL seems to always get the 20% discount (at least whenever I price it), while other CLs get 30%, which makes me go with other resorts and save AKL CL for later.
I saw where someone posted a PIN and noticed AKL CL discount was only 20%. I didn't realize this was a normal thing. Bummer.

Hi :) can you please add me to the Innkeepers list for NOV 7-11 (DH and my 25th anniversary celebration!)
Thanks!
Also, I recieved a email from club level, but it was YC/BC IPO, are they taking over for the BWI guests as well for helping with bookings, requests, etc?

Great. There is a generous gap there so maybe it won't be too bad. It's awfully nice of you to take the time to do this! Much appreciated!

Thanks so much for taking so many pics and taking the time to share them :).

I agree, it is a bummer :(.

I agree :thumbsup2.

It would be nice if it was more. One thing to consider, AKL is usually the least expensive CL of all the resorts. Sometimes when you look at the overall picture (depending on time of year) the cost may be pretty comparable.:flower3:

Hi there! :wave:The IPO that works with the Epcot resorts often identifies itself in emails as YC/BC, but it works with BWI guests, too. You're in good hands. Happy planning!:goodvibes

I'm seriously considering a split stay!!!! :scratchin Instead of 8 nights BC CL I'm thinking 6 nights and then move to a monorail resort for the last 2 nights. Right now I can get CR Atrium club, GF sugarloaf, or Poly LV CL. Which should I choose??? :hyper::hyper::hyper:
We loved our CR Atrium Club stay. Beautiful views, great experience overall. Your plans for a possible split sound like lots of fun!:sunny:

Has anyone asked for and actually received a king bed room at AKL CL? I know they are very limited. I called and had a request put in, but just curious if it's at all likely!

CM I spoke with said there are only 4 king beds on the 4th floor CL, 3 which are accessible and usually reserved. So you have a 1 in 57 chance!

I'll cross my fingers for you if that is your request.

Hi! thanks for the pics. My mom and I just booked a spur of the moment mother daughter trip for the first week of September. We've never stayed at the poly and are very excited. I've been reading here about the club level, the only request I asked for was ground level, and was wondering if anyone knew what to expect by then in terms of construction? My mom will need to rest during the day so I'm a little worried about noise, but she's so excited about staying at the poly that I'm thinking just wait and see. If it's bad we can always move :)

Thanks for the pictures! :)

I didn't realize that the quiet pool was still open! I'll be checking into Hawaii in 54 days and I'm sure it will be closed by then. We're booked for garden view, and they're usually pretty nice with palm trees and other foliage; I think if they keep the work fence over on the lawn around the pool itself it shouldn't look too bad. As for noise, that's another thing! Hoping for some pixie dust in the form of an upgrade to the lagoon side, but if not, then I'm sure it'll be ok! :sunny:

You can't go wrong with any of the choices! I would do Poly but I've never stayed there either. GF SL would be my second choice. CR Atrium would be my third choice but they're all fabulous!

The split stay sounds like a great idea, but deciding which hotel won't be easy! Have you stayed at each of these before? I have never stayed at CR CL before because the pool doesn't impress me, but you will have just been at SAB, so that probably won't matter for you. I'll probably try it sometime in the winter. I have to admit that those Poly LV pics that TJA posted are gorgeous...although I do think the bungalows mess up the view on the far side from the lounge. I wonder when construction on the quiet pool will actually begin? It probably wouldn't be any noisier than the napkin spin song/dance at Chef Mickey's early in the morning-lol:) I do love the marina view in SL too...but that view from the Poly CL lounge is awesome! I like the food at GF best, but I've been spoiled by the nice views from the RPC lounge, so I might lean more towards Poly?? But I do love the band at GF. Ok, forget it...I am NO help! Let us know what you decide! But now I've got one for you... My DH has been working A LOT. He called me from Houston earlier (I live in TN) to see if I want to go to BC for a few days in early December (just the two of us). But there aren't very many King beds at BC, so I'm wondering about BWI. Do you know how many King beds they have? We're still keeping our GF trips, so it probably doesn't matter that much, but I was thinking about BWI and haven't stayed there before. It looks really pretty...and it's too cold for me to swim in December, so I won't mind the clown slide -LOL:)
