Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Hello all. We have stayed club level at several resorts, but this is our very first trip to Boardwalk Inn ever. Anyone have any recommendations for any room requests or preferences we should voice. It is just me and DH this time and we have booked a standard CL room. We like it to be quiet and don't mind a short walk to the lounge in order to avoid some of the noise. We like the best view we can get and prefer rooms with balconies. Any suggestions?

I’m not a BWI CL pro (only one trip this past Feb), so I’ll leave specifics for others, but the floorplan below may help.

I’ll echo a lot of what @mickeynut1 said above. Standard CL rooms are on the 4th floor. All of the rooms “past the Innkeeper’s Door” are CL as well as roughly half of the room in the section between the Innkeeper’s Door and the Elevators. My only request was to be “behind the Innkeeper’s Door” as we generally like to be close to the lounge. Our room was the one shaded red, so as you see we ddn’t get our request (which ended up not being that big of a deal).

I’m sure others can be far more specific. Hope that helps!

We had a standard view CL in December and we were able to see the fireworks from Illuminations from our balcony and also the electric water pageant on Bay Lake. When we wanted to see the MK fireworks, we just popped over to the CL lounge and watched from the balcony over there. They even put the music on the speakers. For us it was really best of both worlds.
This is great to know. Was switched from AKL club savanna view and was afraid it wouldn’t be as special. Sounds like the water pageant will be great as well.

:welcome: To the DIS!

Love me some CR Atrium Club. :-)

All “Standard Room - Atrium Club Level” rooms face east towards the pool and Bay Lake. You won’t see the MK or any MK fireworks from these rooms, but the view (in my humble opinion) is fantastic. @MrToadfan nailed it - if you need a MK view fix, just hit the lounge.

Your view will be roughly similar to this:

The Electrical Water Pageant (which is extremely LOUD even in your room):

More info than you asked for, but maybe this floor plan will help. All Atrium Club rooms are on the 12 floor. The Standard View rooms are 4801-4824. Personally, I like being on the “north” side of the building, which is away from Chef Mickeys. CM can be a bit noisy and sound travels up the atrium. I wouldn’t be mad/upset if I did get a room over Chef Mickeys, but I’d rather be on the other side so that’s usually what I send in as a room request.

Sorry for the over-supply of info, hope you have a great trip!
I love all the info and the tips especially the north side. Any particular room #’s that are a fav or just any on that side?
My husband has always wanted to stay here so keeping it a surprise. He has no idea what CL is, but I know he’ll dig whatever the beer choices are:)

Some people don't care for the electric water pageant because they feel it is too low tech. As for me, I think it's a treasure! Totally nostalgic for me. A must see every trip! Hope you have a wonderful stay

I’m totally excited about it and DS and DH will too. We have a late flight on our final day which means ME around 2:00. How friendly are they about late checkout or hanging around the lounge if we need/want to until we leave?

The great thing about CR (in my opinion) is that all rooms are identical and the building isn’t that big - so it makes room requests a lot easier than some other places. Even something like room 4824 isn’t ‘that’ far from the lounge, so (to me) that’s not something to worry about. It’s the opposite of somewhere like AK, where proximity of room to lounge can be more of a concern.

If this were me, I’d request a room in the “4812-4824 range.” But I’ll caveat that I could easily stay in that room category and not make any room requests and be pretty content. We have young kiddos and try to mostly stick to a reasonable bedtime, so that’s why the Chef Mickeys noise concern comes top of mind for me.

Late check-out is hit or miss. Definitely worth asking though. I’ve been granted to 12pm or 1pm a couple of times. I’ve also been told no. :-)

You can use all resort and CL amenities - including the lounge - the full day of your check-in and check-out dates. You can use the lounge as much as you want, even after check-out time.

Have fun!

When are you going? I'll be at CR cl 7/5-8 and will post on CR thread if interested. When I can I will post here , it just depends how busy we get.

I have a TPV room but the other side is lovely too. My dd just likes her castle from bed view lol.

Like @GADisneyDad14 we love CR too. It's the most convenient to lounge cl from guest room. Views are amazing and good transportation options.

Thank you thank you thank you! I’m getting so excited now and we may have found a new “home”. We are doing a split stay before that because of some friends. I was thinking about surprising DS and DH later that day that we move to CR, but might have to change plans to boogie over there earlier...eek cannot wait! It will be DS’s birthday that next morning which will make it even better.

Will be at Pop this time from 9/26-10/2 because of friends and move to CR for 10/2-10/5. It will be our first split stay so will be an adventure all around.

Regarding the boardwalk club rooms; if I ask for a room between club lounge and elevators, would there be rooms above us on the fifth floor? My show always wants a top floor.

sorry... minimum 3 day tickets, not 3 nights hotel. so you are right.
Thank you all. So it seems that I understood well : 2 nights in club should allow me to book 3 days of CL FP+ . Sorry to have asked it here, I've found a more appropriate topic after...

For the CL FP+, the current policy requires minimum 3 day park tickets. Also just heard from other DISers that starting sept 17, 2018, the CL FP+ program will NOT include the nighttime viewing spot. Not sure what the offer will be for your travel time...

No, park tickets have nothing to do with it. Must have 3 nights or more booked club level and must pay for 3 or more nights of CL FP+ . Obviously you have to have tickets to get into the parks but it is the length of club level stay unless they've changed it in the last few days

That’s a great picture...thanks! Do you know where on this pic the stairs between the garden cottages and the lounge would be?

What a great surprise! Have a great trip :wizard:.

I agree, never hurts to ask ;).

Your trip is getting closer! :yay: Looking forward to hearing all about it. Have a great time :goodvibes.

Hope your DS has a great day celebrating his birthday at Disney :cake:.

I specifically asked this and was told no, that you had to have a room at regular Wilderness Lodge. However, I know someone who booked regular club level room and was put in a 7th floor one-bedroom Copper Creek room as an upgrade... so maybe it is possible.
I think the only way for Copper Creek rooms to access club level is via DVC stays on points, not cash. As a DVC member owner of CC, we can purchase access to Reunion Station which is pretty similar to the hotel CL. Me and another forum member talked about this, in this thread a few pages back.

Regarding the boardwalk club rooms; if I ask for a room between club lounge and elevators, would there be rooms above us on the fifth floor?
Yes, there are 5th floor rooms over part of the the building. The 5th floor rooms run from the elevator bay and end at corner of the building at Village Green / Boardwalk junction just above where the Inn Keepers CM desk is located on the 4th floor.

FYI , Just got a personal call from one of the WL CL CMs on our stay next Saturday. Asking how we'd be arriving, any questions, requests, whatever. I believe she is actually at the WL, or at least she was very knowledgeable about WL, since I asked some specific to the property questions.
She said they will meet us, etc., Any idea when we may arrive,
I can tell already that I've received more service thus far from them than my CL stay 2 yrs. ago at AKL, which was also a great stay.
