Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I was there in May, though others have visited more recently. I looked, but I didn't take photos - I recall it being very good, my biggest beef with YC CL is the same as with many others - the lounge space can just get packed and hectic. My bigger beef is with the YC rooms in general, which are starting to look a bit dated. My Aug MNSSHP trip was a night at YC non-CL followed by 3 at CR CL, and I remember the CR room feeling much bigger and fresher, bathroom especially.

That said, I am in the same situation for Nov, considering splitting a stay to CL over a weekend. Ironically, it makes the jump to CL seem less egregious when the freaking rack rates for regular rooms are so ridiculous. Holidays and party season in general are when I think CL has the most value, it just gives you an extra space and some extra resources/CMs when things are hectic everywhere else. Not sure this is helpful, but know that we're in the same obscenely expensive boat!

Glad I’m in good company. Mickey doesn’t make it easy for us, does he?? I agree about CL being a nice respite during those super busy times.

Well the CR rooms are bigger then the Epcot 3 by about 57 sq ft. plus the minimalist furniture at the CR.

Dave
Yeah, they really opened the rooms up more with refurb. I know not everyone loves it. The furniture and the light paint really do make it much brighter than it used to be.

The lack of Friday and Saturday discounts in the fall is really hurting. I don’t want to pay extra for CL bc the prices are ridiculous, but the regular rooms aren’t that much less. 😔
I have been booking Sunday-Thursday trips for the past couple of years. They really get you with the Friday-Saturday prices. The jump up in price to CL is not bad if you are already considering a LV/TPV/WV type room, but the difference between STD/Resort view and CL is pretty substantial.

They really do get you with the weekend. With school, this time I can’t avoid it. 😢

Hi there. I think the intent of my comment was maybe lost in tone or context from the other discussion at the time, but I didn't mean that as a negative at all - more like with DCL concierge we got a glimpse that was much more of a true 'concierge' white glove type of environment that you don't really get at WDW. Not really fair to compare the WDW resort product with the DCL product as it's pretty apples and oranges, but it was nice to have a Disney experience where the upcharge we chose to pay felt totally worth it from everyone in our party.
Oh Whew :) thanks for clarifying! I was thinking too that DCL has an amazing Concierge experience... .It is one of our favourite ways to cruise! :)

Just so you know, there might be 1 or 2 rooms that get a tiny view of the castle from WL CL and even then it's very far, so you aren't missing much.

We were just at WL CL in Aug. Overall, we had a lovely stay, i do nor regret staying one bit so i want to make that clear.

HOWEVER, my major gripe about it was about the pre-arrival stuff. I got an email about a week out, filled it out, food allergies, time of arrival, special celebration, etc. Then we get a phone call 48hrs before check in, they asked my DH the same exact questions, um, okay, maybe they're just clarifying. We check in and it's obvious they did nothing with that info. I had to ask everyday, as well as others, about allergy foods. No one greeted us in the lobby and it took forever to get someone to come down and get us. She apologized for taking so long saying, we don't get early arrivals that often. I understand, that is fine, but I told you when I would be arriving, twice.

Moral of the story, yes they will reach out, let them know your concerns but do not expect any special accommodations
You will most likely have to remind them each day of your allergy. This is what I did and others that I saw in the lounge.

Like I said, overall we were happy with our stay. Anytime we asked the staff for things, we got them right away and everyone was friendly. The food and variety of offerings were great. Maybe we just hit an off couple of days. Please report back on how your stay went.
Thank you for the info. I planned to double check each day since my son's allergy is peanuts. But since it's just peanuts, we've gotten pretty good at figuring out what things are too risky and what isn't. Plus, we will have snacks for him from home and if we have to, we will run down to Roaring Fork. He likes their chicken tenders a lot and would be completely happy with a Mickey Ice Cream Bar
I think there are more than 1 or 2 rooms with a view of the castle. And honestly it’s a pretty nice fireworks view, in my opinion.
How was the service area noise below that room? I have had a WL room with that view before and it was pretty awesome, but I love the courtyard and the sound of the babbling brook.

Its funny, we just moved from CR CL to YC and found the opposite to be true. I think the CR rooms are a bit wider, but the bedroom area in the YC is longer by a few feet, so it feels more spacious to us (at the CR the bed by the balcony was only about 2ft from the wall, while the YC has about 5ft, and the beds are spaced a bit further apart at the YC as well). The bathroom was bigger at the CR, but we like having the sink area separate from the shower at the YC so one person can get ready at the sink while the other showers.

I could see someone feeling differently - different strokes and all. YC has the desk by the balcony, and they are getting rid of desks in the more recent renos, it seems, so there's automatically less of a spacer there. Am I remembering right that the CR beds are being in like a single piece via the headboard/backing? That gives them less ability to move around, obviously. Maye they are trying to "fill" the space? Anyways, glad you guys got to visit both during your stay!

ETA - fix ridiculous typo

It wasn’t terribly bothersome to us. We tend to be rope droppers though. It might be irritating if you’re a super light sleeper or want to sleep in.

We last stayed there in 2018. We’re going back next summer and I’m requesting this view again.

Yeah, it’s sort of one overall connected piece. In my experience you can really feel movement from the other bed in your bed, which is less than ideal.
That does seem annoying - I'm always with DH or in my own room, but I would be extremely cranky if the bed kept waking me up. I still love the bathrooms, though. And the couch!

Yup, the first night there I was up for hours trying to figure out why every time I moved in bed, a few seconds later my bed would start to shake. Turns out when I moved it made my mom's bed shake, so she would roll over in her bed which made my bed shake. We kept doing that to each other all night until we finally figured it out :rotfl2:

I agree, that is a nice view. Looking at touring plans, 7048 and 7050 have a view of the castle, all other rooms are blocked by trees. Can you see, fireworks from all of those rooms? Yes. You can also see the fireworks from the balconies in the CL lounge.20240810_211620.jpg

We just got back from our WL CL stay and it was great! I was worried about it not living up to our stays at AKL, but I can honestly say it was just as great for it's own reasons. We were also given one of the "honeymoon suites", which is only one of two rooms that overlook the lobby directly across from the lounge. It had vaulted ceilings and an extra large shower that could probably fit about 5 people in it, but becuase of the way the shower heads are installed, unless you don't mind patiently waiting to share the water, you're better off enjoying the entire thing by yourself. I was even able to enjoy some down time while sitting in front of one of those cozy fireplaces with a glass of wine and my book...it was perfect! And if any of you are going to be staying there soon, please say hi to Hunter and Dawn. They were amazing and made our trip even more special. :thumbsup2
