Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

If you check in online and have your magic bands, can you just go up to the CL? Your band should work on the elevator correct (on MDE it tells if you are CL by your reservation)? Unless you get some "pixie dust" and are up graded!

If you check in on line you can go to the parks too? Then go to the resort?

Staying at BC CL, Nov 14-21, so hopefully they get this all figured out. Please add us the list when you get the time. thanks!

Bought our airfare last week. Going back to YC, garden view club level Sept 10-17. Add us to the guest list please Erika! We have a bounceback rate from our trip on December.

Almost changed to August for the magical deal but can't coz of DH's work commitments. Will be the first time we're ther during Food & Wine because it is starting so early this year. We usually like to spend our last day at Epcot. Now might need to change that since I always read how busy Saturday's are for F&W.

There is also talk on the Y&B Club thread of room renos starting at the YC in August. Wondering if we will be affected by that. Got the email from IPO a few days ago. So as of right now, I guess we're good. I wouldn't mind if we had to get bumped to BC. Or RPC at the Grand, lol! A girl can dream, right?

Congrats on booking! :cheer2:
It's so nice Food and Wine is starting earlier this year. About Saturdays (or any busy time during food and wine) we think the trick is to generally avoid getting caught in very long lines. Go someplace else in the meantime and circle back later. There is a lot of ebb and flow to the booth lines. Enjoy! :goodvibes

I can't comment from experience, but from what I've read about other people's experiences, some have been able to go straight to their room/CL lounge and some haven't. Hopefully others will be able to give some input :).

Congrats on getting your airfare! September will be here before you know it. I hope the renovations don't interfere with your stay. Getting upgraded to RPC would definitely be amazing ::yes::.

We check in tomorrow and have never received a single bit of communication from the CL CMs. What's that all about?

I would call Disney to see if they even have you listed at Club Level, because that seems impossible. Or maybe the communications went into your spam folder.

@DisneyCowgirl What resort? Do you have contact information for your resort Itinerary Planning Office? (IPO, the folks who correspond and talk to CL guests before arrival.) If you don't, I'd be happy to help and post it.

Sometimes guests hear from them, sometimes they don't. Disney doesn't have the best computer system. The spam folder is also a possibility.
I always recommend folks go ahead and make contact after they book if they don't hear from the IPO.

Just checked in to the BWI and listening to very loud jack hammering from my room. Sounds like a really angry woodpecker banging on my door!!
I new that the booking for Boardwalk view rooms changed but even though I tried calling Disney several times over the past couple of months they kept telling me you couldn't book a Boardwalk view you had to request it. I asked at check in about a Boardwalk room and was told if that had one I would have to pay the $100 a night difference. They didn't have any.
Sitting in my room waiting for my luggage and our MB don't work. I thought that if they were linked at MDE they would work at both places not true! We stayed at the GF before transferring over to the BWI. Again another bad start .

Thank you for giving us an update. How frustrating the noise and the problems must be. They really didn't handle the room category changes very well. As you said, if you'd already booked before the change, it appears now like you "selected" standard vs. boardwalk. We are in that same boat, too for our Oct trip.
Hoping your luggage arrives soon, they fix your magic band, and they have some yummy apps and nice glass of wine waiting for you at 5:00. :goodvibes

I'd asked here a couple of weeks ago about letting IPO make my ADR's and ultimately decided to let them handle everything for me. The verdict? Fantastic! I had an email from them at 6:00am confirming all of my requested ADR's, times within just a few minutes of what I asked for. (They even booked two separate 'Ohana reservations for the same night so I could choose a preferred time.) It actually was really nice not to be hovering over my laptop at midnight, hoping and praying MDE didn't crash in the middle of things!

This^^^. Not sure why some people get an email from IPO and some don't, but like gwynne mentioned, it's good to make the initial contact if you don't hear from them :).

I'm sorry your BWI stay isn't off to a good start. I hope your luggage comes soon and they are able to get your MBs working and I hope the rest of your trip goes better :wizard:.

Glad IPO was able to get everything you wanted :goodvibes.

We are sitting on the ME bus right now and I received a text that our room is ready. Our room is on the fifth floor. I will let you know if we can go right up when we get there.

MB worked on the elevator to access 5th floor. No CM outside to escort us but we ran into one in the lobby and she greeted us and took us up. I used my MB on the elevator to test it so it did work and got us into our room without having to check in again. We were given our welcome letter as we passed the lounge. No gifts in room though we have previously always gotten fresh flowers and chocolates before.

Thanks for the follow up - that's a bit disheartening! Based on your post, I plan to contact the club level manager (again, once I figure out how!) to reiterate my concerns, especially - as I have mentioned - the IPO staff kept insisting "it's been a big hit!" Doesn't sound like it's the complete success that they think it is!
Hi, if you get a email address for the AKL club manager could you post it as I will also contact. Travelling with a 3 and 8 year old and would like to have at least one child friendly option. Thanks

Thank you for the nice words. Magic band was fixed and the luggage arrived about 3:30 so not to bad. The workers have gone for the weekend so things should be better until Monday. Two lovely glasses of wind and some nice apps including a very tasty clam chowder and things are looking much better! You said it just right the way they handled the room switch was not good but it is what it is. Off to dinner at The Rose and Crown.

I have an AK CL reservation but not for until July. But, I've already passed the 180 days, and never got any itinerary plan from them. I made my own reservations. Is there any reason I need to contact them otherwise? This is my first CL visit, so don't really know what I would want from them now. I know the reservation is right since I have a lot of correspondence from disney. Does it take awhile after you make your reservations? I only made mine about a week before the 180.

We had a great check in experience at sugar loaf today. We were met as we got off DME by a CM who was great and he led us to the most wonderful CM I've ever met named Denny. He made our check in magical. Even got our kids bags of gummy bears to take into the park. It was wonderful and. I waiting in line in the lobby. This is how club level check in should always be:)
