Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Thank you for your reply @GADisneyDad14 ! Did you prefer your bunk bed room to a deluxe room?

I have previously stayed in a Deluxe room at WL (11/2016). Despite the size difference, we MUCH preferred being in a standard room on the CL floor vs the distant Deluxe room. Hands down, no debate. Being closer to the lounge is just a better fit for our overall touring style, plus being more in the center of the resort makes for easier logistics overall.

The bunk beds do help in making more floor space vs 2 queens.

But people love the Deluxe rooms for various reasons, so the above is definitely not a one size fits all opinion. :-)

At POLY are there to go cups or bowls available? I am hoping to make a coffee to go most mornings and would love for my son to be able to take some dry cereal to go. Do I need to plan to bring paper products or will they have these things available?

To my knowledge, all the CL’s have to-go cups with lids. There aren’t any to-go bowls out (maybe if you ask?), but what we do is put the cereal in a to-go cup for the kids! It’s nice to have the lid on it, just in case they want to save it for later in the day. Enjoy!

perfect thanks! i typically order the single serve bowls with our grocery order but was thinking i wouldnt have to if cereal is available in the lounge. thanks for the info!

No problem! Yeah, you definitely don’t need them! Have fun!

Thank you! :flower3: I remember your somewhat unfavorable review of the functionality of the deluxe room, so I was curious about the comparison. Although I know bunk bed rooms are a request, not a guarantee (and of course the rooms on that floor have the dormer balconies). Very interesting!
It sounds like this was a fantastic trip for your family! :-) Glad as always to live vicariously through your detailed reviews.

I know at some point during past visits Poly has had to go cereal bowls. That’s what we use to serve our kids breakfast as I’m always so worried they’ll knock over/break one of the real bowls, so they have definitely had them. Although I looked through my photos from December for evidence, but they are inconclusive.

Given past experience and the volume of young kids at Poly CL, I’d be surprised if they don’t have to go bowls either out or in a drawer/upon request, but caveat in case that has changed/is no longer the case. As mine are getting older we’ve been moving to the real bowls so I’ve paid less attention.

thanks. much appreciated. At 12 mine is for sure good to go on a real bowl :) But he has been known to snack on the car ride over and while waiting for rope drop.

we have only 8 more days until we begin our BWI CL stay. It's our first time on CL, and I just wanted to thank everyone that contributes to this thread. I've gotten so much great information here. You all are the BEST! :thanks:pixiedust:

BWI CL is amazing! Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

Have a great time! Please take some pictures for us!

So, those are the WL CL highlights. Couple of other notes:
  • We received an e-mail around a week out directly from the WL CL CMs (as has been well reported on this thread). I get that it's probably much easier to handle at WL CL given the incredibly small guest count relative to other CLs, but it's a shame this is only a mainstay here. Such a nice touch.
  • Check-in was fantastic - probably the best check-in/CL greeting we've had at any resort in years. Greeted out front with someone specifically looking for us, escorted upstairs, full tour of the lounge, explanation of service times, the posted menu, beverages available, explained HEA viewing and show audio, explained we should just leave dishes on the tables and don't worry about cleaning up after ourselves, etc. It was top-notch, in my opinion. If I didn't know anything about CL, I would instantly be up to speed. I saw this time after time for other guests during our stay.
  • CMs were very personable and friendly. Food was replenished quickly, tables generally cleared quickly. Not too in your face but not distant either - it was a nice blend.
  • I did feel the CL guest count in the lounge picked up from Thursday-Sunday, but tables were always available. I've had bad luck at some CLs recently with tables being full, so it was nice for that not to be a concern here. I'm sure it can happen at times though.
  • We hadn't been to WL since Geyser Point opened so this is an outdated observation - but wow, what a huge addition here. Granted the weather this time of year is great for outdoor dining, but the setting, views, and food can't be beat. The pool bar being so 'far away' from the main pool is a minor gripe, but I can live with it given the quality of Geyser Point. Maybe someday they'll replicate something similar at CR... pretty please!
  • Saturday was a pretty busy pool day - that afternoon we tried to find a place to sit at both pools and couldn't find a single lounge or chair. None! That and the people soup pool were Poly-esque! I'm guessing a big check-in/out day... it wasn't nearly as bad at other times.
  • The resort and resort grounds were beautiful. We were mainly there for the races and resort/pool time, not much park time - WL was a perfect fit.
  • This always gets asked around the boards, but right now when HEA is at 9:15pm, the Electrical Water Pageant runs at WL immediately (and I mean immediately) after HEA. And it was blaring loud in the courtyard rooms as always. :-)
Anyways, sorry as always to take up so many posts - happy to answer any questions.

Thank you, thank you for this wonderful trip report. I have been lurking here for quite a while. I will be at WL CL June 2 thru 10 for our twins HS graduation trip. (previous AKL CL a few years ago) Its nice to see updated information and pics!

Well, the time has come for me to put myself out of my “Will we? Won’t we?” misery, so we have cancelled our September RPC trip :sad1:. I’ve already lamented my many concerns in previous posts, all of which were causing too much stress and trip anxiety.
We will still take a couple of trips this summer, including a trip to HersheyPark with a stay in a beautiful suite in the Hotel Hershey (they don’t have CLo_O, but I think we’ll manage :D).
Since we’ll have to use/lose our cancelled airfare by late January, my fingers are crossed for RPC discounts for that time of year.
I still LOVE :lovestruc this thread, and CL, and WDW of course, so I’ll still be hanging around here in the meantime :-) !

Sorry you decided to cancel your trip, but I’m sure you’ll be back soon enough! Funny, we were going to do Hershey for Easter, but DH couldn’t get off Friday, and we hated to do a 3 hour drive for one night... are you close to Hershey?

@mrsap , thank you! I know you’d especially feel my pain as a fellow GF lover!
That’s too funny that you were headed to Hershey soon! Sorry that didn’t work out for you. We are a good five hour drive from there, and have not been before. I’m looking forward to the park (not Disney, but that’s okay) and some resort/ cabana time, too!
P.S. And yes, I agree we will be back to WDW soon enough ::yes::.

Oh ok! Not too bad. We’re a good 3 1/2 hours total. We’ve been to Hershey at least 5 times... of course it’s not Disney, but it’s definitely a nice place holder till you can get back there!! I’ve only stayed at the Hershey Lodge, though, so I can’t tell you anything about HH. (The Lodge has an indoor water park if you’re interested in anything like that!) If you have any questions about Hershey itself, feel free to ask any questions. They have a nice zoo you can walk to (just have to cross a walking bridge). My kids really enjoy it. We’ve also been for the 4th of July, they do a beautiful job with the fireworks. Hope you have fun!

Question regarding tips... How much do you leave for housekeeping for each night?

There's 4 people in the room (CL) and we are only staying one night.

Thanks in advance.
