Resort Thread Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH Resort

Anyone know if we have a pirate room book if we can be requested to be downgraded to a standard room in a building which is closer to the Skyliner?
You can request it when you arrive at the resort, but its not something they can guarantee. It would solely depend on availability, so if you haven't been able to change your booking to a standard room, chances are availability will be slim to none. I also don't believe you'd be able to get a refund.

FWIW, some of the pirate rooms are fairly close to the Skyliner. Just across the bridge. The only section that would be slightly closer is Jamaica and only some of the buildings would be closer in terms of actual distance. Might be easier to keep the pirate room and request a room close to the bridge.

Thank you very much... I had been looking at Aruba rooms for access to Rivera Resort too forgetting the Skyliner had a Jamaica station

The main hub/transfer point for the Skyliner is closest to Jamaica and just down the bridge from the ends of Barbados and Trinidad. The hub is where you pick up the line to DHS. You can certainly board the Skyliner at Riviera to head to DHS, but you would have to get off and transfer at the hub. IMO, its easier to be closer to the hub so you can avoid the transfer.

Eventually.

The recent reopen of the Mug Refill Station at Spyglass is a good sign and the beginning of College Program Cast Members arrivals this Month is expected to aid Staffing issues property wide.
Oh good I’m glad they opened the mug refill station!

We are staying at Riviera and my brother decided to come down for a couple of nights. Riviera didn't have anything available for cash except 1 BR and 2 BR preferred starting at $1100 a night, and he didn't really want to spend that if he didn't have to, so he booked a preferred room at CBR. For some reason all of the photos from the first page aren't showing for me, and when I google I'm not finding that resort map that shows the CBR sections relative to the RR. Can anyone re-post it or link me to it, as well as recommend what their best room request should be to be closest to the RR? Or maybe they should just request as close to the Riviera as possible? They will likely spend most of their time with us, we have a 2 BR villa so will hang out in the living area when not in the parks. Is there any downside to this that I'm not thinking of? IIRC from our visit to RR and when we last stayed at the CBR when the RR was being built, it should be a pretty easy walk between the resorts, correct?

Preferred rooms are in Martinique and Barbados, so he should request Martinique as that is closest to RR. It should be a relatively quick walk between the two.

Thank you so much! I have no idea why I couldn't find that myself. It's hard, I read so much but when I need to find the sources to make sure I remember right it can be so hard to find again sometimes :confused3 .

I have the same problem! Even when I attempt to save things to refer to later, I then have so many things I still can't find what I'm looking for haha.

I can’t see the pictures on the first page either.

Can confirm: we stayed at Martinique last January, and it was such a short walk to the Riviera that we often found ourselves enjoying the food and atmosphere over there. (Plus, they had s'mores almost every night at the beach -- "L" on the map included above -- and it was so fun to be just a few steps away from that deliciousness each evening.)

If you’re at Epcot and the skyliner closes are the buses at the front of the park or one of the Crescent Lake resorts?

We are driving so I think I might bring our griddle and make some scrambled eggs in the morning to get some protein in our bodies before heading to the park. My son was recently diagnosed as a Type 1 Diabetic so gone are the days of pop tarts or other quick breakfast options. The griddle doesn't take up much room so it would not be difficult to do. We are going to have to go to the store or have delivery service to our room any way.
Yes, they are similar to a small dorm fridge. You can fit drink cans, bottled water, snacks etc. But I have to ask, what are the eggs being used for? Raw protein shakes?? LOL

We’re here now and I just got a notification that Centertown Market is closed this morning? The notification disappeared. We had plans to eat at the YC so it doesn’t affect us, but I wonder what happened? Or is it a MDE glitch?

Front.

They will usually also tell Guests that there will be Skyliner Resort buses available at the Boardwalk Inn Bus Depot but,in my experience, that is a mess-not organized at all.

Also I read a recent report where Guests were told to go to Beach Club and catch a Disney Springs bus there and then transfer to their Resort bus at DS which would take a LONG time.
