Hopefully the April recreation calendar comes out soon.![]()
Thanks to everyone on this board for all of the great advice. We are leaving on our 1st Disney vacation in 2 weeks and staying at CBR with a preferred room. I am so excited! We are a family of 6. The first few days we are traveling with in-laws and one of our kids will stay with them. The 2nd part of our stay we have 2 rooms for our 6 at CBR, so we have 2 reservations. Ideally, we would like to have the same connecting rooms for the entire stay. Does anyone know of any preferred connecting rooms on the ground floor - mil can't do stairs -(I didn't notice any on my search through the thread)?
Should we do online check in or the touring plans check in or just wait until we get there? Our TA put the requests with out initial reservation. TIA for any help.
Hopefully the April recreation calendar comes out soon.![]()
I saw it on another website. For some reason only my phone safari browser is linking me to the April calendar while the computer link on the same site still goes to March.
Do a search for "Disney's Movies Under the Stars"
Thanks!Yes, there are some connecting, 1st floor, preferred rooms.
Since your TA put your requests in, there's nothing more you need to do. So when you do Online Check In, just skip the Room Request section.
Does anyone know anything about the Pirate Camp shown on the calendar for April? Is that something they do all the time? Wondering if it will be going on in May. Anyone have details, costs, etc?
Also wondering if anyone knows what we should expect the pool hours to be the first week in May. We have a friend joining us who really enjoys an early morning swim, but I told her I didn't know if the pools would be open early enough for that.
Thanks to everyone for all the great info on this thread!
My little boy was 49 inches..luckily we got a nice CM who let him in anyway but told him "this is your last year in here buddy" ..Im betting on its whoever you get but they do measure them, they are pretty strict. She may get lucky though if shes right on the line like my little boy did. Fingers crossed for youQuick question about the pool area - the water play area says the max is 48 inches. My daughter is 49 inches, but not a great swimmer so she'd prefer to play there than go down the bigger slides in the regular pool. Do they check heights, or will she be able to play there?
Thanks!
Have a great time! You'll love the resort!! we'll be back next month. My DD and I leave on Sunday 4/3/16 for our first stay at CBR, we have stayed at all other mods so we are so excited to try CBR. Thanks for all the good info on this thread. We can't wait to get back home to Disney we are so thrilled, this will be the year of Disney for us, we are getting a AP in April because we will be back in August and October. Yippee!
This is something I haven't seen before, so we don't have any experience with it. I will ask some of our friends who also love CBR and stay 1-2 time a year if they know. The best I can do is copy the description from the Activities Calendar.
Pirate Camp ($)
Join us for fun-filled activities including pirate training, crafts and dinner. Parents can enjoy an evening at Shutters while children ages 4 to 12 are invited to Barefoot Bay Bike Works to join Captain Calico’s pirate crew for an adventure! Available Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. For reservations, visit the Barefoot Bay Bike Works.
I believe May is usually 9AM-11PM. Then sometime in June it moves to 9AM - Midnight.
They were super strict about this when we were there. My son was able to go on the pirate ship, but my daughter was JUST over the height req. and they would only let her play in the water area around the ship.Quick question about the pool area - the water play area says the max is 48 inches. My daughter is 49 inches, but not a great swimmer so she'd prefer to play there than go down the bigger slides in the regular pool. Do they check heights, or will she be able to play there?
Thanks!
Yes. It's $15 and very good! Order it inside the food courtWe stayed at AoA on a past trip, and a few of the evenings we made pool nights I just went to the food court and ordered a large pizza that we shared. It was so nice and relaxing for us, the girls got to stay in the pool with DH till I showed up at the table with the Pie.
Wondering if this is also doable at CBR? I saw they have a pizza station in the food court but is it only individual sizes or can I get a whole pie to go?
Do the bus stops have the arrival time digital screens at this point? Regardless of their accuracy, would love to know if they're up at each of the bus stops!
