Resort Thread Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH Resort

Where do you get the celebration buttons from? We are celebrating our 5th anniversary. :)
Make sure you call and have it added to your reservation if you didn't already. We had an anniversary card in our room waiting signed from Mickey and the gang. Also, every ADR and every time I scanned my magic band at a FP or at the gate, they wished me a happy anniversary.

Looking at our old cards, we have a Happy Anniversary card from Mickey and Minnie from September 2014.

Woohoo!! Got all my ADRs first thing this morning!! Everything I wanted (at this point no Shutters...so many places to eat, so little time...and so little room in the stomach - especially for August!) It's getting real!!

I waded through the first 20 pages or so, but didn't really find what I was looking for. Which buildings have the shortest walk times to the food court- about how far is the walk ? Traveling with two 15 year olds and an 8 and 5 year old, so I want something close enough for the teens to go off without too much worry, but also am hoping for something close to pools. This resort is so large and has me so confused on which is the best area! Also, I didn't notice a pic of the Murphy bed that some rooms offer, is it pretty convenient to pull down each night?

Don't know about the bench-becomes-a-bed thing, but for the closest to the main pool and food court, you would need to book preferred.

We are requesting rooms in Jamaica 45,46. These are standard rooms across the bridge from the Main pool and food area. Also not too far from the bus stop. Of course, there is no guarantee that you will get the request. The preferred rooms will be closest to the main area, but will cost a little more.

Just a quick question, we just booked a preferred room for May. She had asked if I wanted to request a certain area?? We have never stayed at Cbr before, but I was looking at the map and I chose Martinique? Is that a good area? What is y'all's favorite room for preferred?

Any pictures of room views or anything of Martinique I would LOVE to see!

Last question how far is the walk to the food court? It's so hard to tell just looking at the map.

All of the preferred locations are fantastic. Your walk to the Main Feature pool and OPR will be between 45 seconds and 3 minutes.

Yay!!! So hard to tell what to do, whenever you've never stayed there before.. Hoping to see some pictures of Martinique :) btw, I am SUPER excited! Haven't been in years, and it is gonna be great!

Could someone please give me the correct shipping address for CBR if I wanted to ship a case of water there for our stay? Is there a correct address format to use to ensure we would get it okay? :)

Check out the Shipping To Your Resort sticky at the top of the Resort Board. Everything you need to know is there.

Most, if not all, areas have a "quiet pool". We were in Aruba last year, and it was about a 5 minute walk to the main pool. No big deal. Plus, the walk is really nice.

The Murphy Beds are great! Well, mostly great. They're a bit short, so my feet would have hung off the end, but the kids each fit perfectly, and it was really convenient. It also gave me a queen-sized bed to myself on most nights :) The only time it was inconvenient was if you needed to get into the drawers underneath, but I always get my clothes for the next day out before anyone goes to bed, so it was a non-issue.

Stayed at Martinique in September. You'll be happy.

Now I'm confused! We check in on Sunday. So I just got an email I believe allowing me to bypass the check in or whatever :). It says:

Congratulations! You've completed your Disney Resort hotel online check-in service.

And now, for the first time, you may be able to skip the front desk when you arrive.

Since your all-in-one MagicBand has been shipped to your home and is also your Disney Resort room key, you may head straight to your room or even the Parks (if you linked Theme Park admission to your MagicBands). It's a quick and easy way to start the magic the moment you arrive!

Just ensure you've completed your online check-in with:
• Your estimated Resort arrival and departure times
• A credit card you want to use for incidentals and other charges
• Your mobile phone number and/or email address
By providing a phone number or email address we can text or email you on the day of your arrival with your room number. Our Bell Services team will be ready to assist you with your luggage upon arrival.

We'll contact you when your room is ready and you can go directly to your room. If your room is not ready when you arrive, simply enjoy the Parks or the Resort and we will let you know as soon as your room is available.

OK, so there's a button at the bottom to click to make sure I entered my email, phone number, and credit card. I clicked on it, and hit "update" with my info entered. Then, it says, "congratulations, you have STREAMLINED check in"- then telling me to go to the regular check in. Did I ruin my chance to bypass the check in by making sure my info was correct?

No you didn't ruin your chances. If you read the above carefully it says you MAY be able to skip the front desk. So as of right now you have the Streamlined Check In. With this you still don't have to go to the Front Desk but you will have to stop at the Streamlined Check In Kiosk inside The Custom House. Now, this may change. Many people who first get this Streamlined Check In will get another email/message saying you are now able to skip the Front Desk and the Streamlined Check In Kiosk and go directly to your room. This email/message may come anytime from 3 weeks out up until 5 days out. So there's still hope.

And as I've said before, nobody knows how they determine who gets to do which Check In experience. I thinks they use the same algorithm to decide who gets PIN Codes sent to them.

Which would explain why I've never got the skip the front desk email, I've gotten the your room is ready but stop by the front desk text (somehow they knew my MB wouldn't work tried to fix it and ended up having a CM escort me to my room and then run up with my MB about 5 min later). In 33 years of going to WDW at least every other year and in the past 5 years every year the past 3 twice a year, I have never, ever, never, ever, never received a pin code.

Thanks so much. Wow I can see how this would be confusing for many people, at the top it say I "may have" bypass the desk checkin, yet at the bottom it actually instructs to go directly to the room. I wonder how many people get this email and think they definitely have "bypass the desk" check in. If I would not have double checked to make sure I put my cell number in, I would have never even seen the "streamlined checkin" message and never gone to the custom house. So if I do get that option, will I l receive another email stating that I am definitely able to go right to the parks? Or will I just get a text when I arrive?

Yes we never received a pin either. We haven't gone as much as you. But my mother in law, who NEVER has booked a Disney vacation got one. She's a single woman in her 60's, and went to Disney for one half day for a work convention. That's the only time she's ever been to Disney and she got a pin code in the mail. Never spent a dime there. She showed it to me, and I was like, are you serious?

Thank you, dansdad! We check in on Sat and. today, received the same email as jetta8300. I was just wondering what to do, now I know!
