Resort Thread Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH Resort

Is there a way to ensure you get a room with the pull down bed? We have a foster son and a 9 year old DD who will NOT sleep in the same bed. Is the only way to have 5 people in the room?

You can request it. Many parties of 4 have gotten one. But the only way to guarantee it is to have 5 guests. To maximize your odds make that your only request.

If you have 5 people on your reservation, then they have to reserve the room with the pull down bed.. 5 wont fit in a room without the pull down and therefore they wont reserve you a room without it.. (I believe?!) If you only have 4 then you should probably call and request it..

You cannot ensure it but if you make it your only request chances are good. We had one completely unnecessary because we are only 2 people in room. I would say if. It assigned one you could go to desk and ask to be moved. I would make that only request so it is clear.

ok CBR Disboard friends, I promised some pictures when we returned and I finally got my Memory Maker pictures downloaded so here are a few of our favorites:

We just got back from CBR on 10/4. We were in the Jamaica building 45. The buses did use 2 sets of buses during our entire stay for pick ups to the parks.
Jamaica >Aruba>Barbados>out AND Martinique>OPR>Trinidad North>Trinidad South>out
Coming back from the parks Jamaica was always the first drop off except when we came back from Disney Springs.

I'm not sure if this is always or just during busier times.
No one ever had any trouble getting a seat on the bus heading to the parks but coming back the bus was always packed full sitting and standing (much like the buses at most of the resorts).

Hi there
Am I missing something (a technical brain perhaps ;)) because I can't see any of your pictures? :(

His our first time at CBR and I'm a little late with room choice :(. It only gave me Martinique as an option. Are these buildings good at all? Bummed Jamaica wasn't a choice.

We will be at CBR in a little less than two weeks! Our flight doesn't arrive until after midnight, and we are using Magical Express (i know it is notoriously slow late at night, but hubby isn't worried).

This is our first time at CBR and it's going to be very late--probably 1:30-2:00 am by the time we get luggage and onto DME to the resort. Will DME drop us at Customs House? Will there be any in resort transportation that late at night? Is Bell Sevices working at that hour? Or, will we need to drag our luggage to our room? We are coming from Pacific time so it really won't feel that late to my DH and me, but it's significantly past my DS's bedtime, so I am trying to plan ahead to minimize any surprises.

It's not because you're late. For some reason Martinique has been the only option online for awhile. If you want a different building, you could call and request it.

As @ENJDisneyFan said, choice of Martinique is what everyone gets no matter when you do your Online Check In. The predetermined and extremely limited options are the main reason we skip the room request section during Online Check In and always phone our requests in. This way we can request exactly what we want.

Also, Martinique is a fantastic location. The Village of Martinique is right next to Old Port Royale and the Main Feature pool. If you really want to be in Jamaica, then as suggested call that in.

Yup.

The internal Bus will not be running at that hour.

Is Bell Sevices working at that hour?

Yup. They will gladly load you and all your luggage into one of their vans, drive you to your building and bring your luggage to your room.

Or, will we need to drag our luggage to our room?

Not unless you really want the exercise. :rotfl2:

Last month, I sent in a request for a pull down bed. I have a 16 year old son and 5 year old daughter, I really didn't want them in the same bed. Our request was granted.

I'm not sure if I have already asked this question or not. Sorry if I have but, do all the rooms at CBR have make up mirrors?

We loved martinique building 22... only problem was the room smell followed us home and I am having to wash everything, including clean clothes because they reek. :(
