I was looking at the menu for Old Port Royale today. I noticed they have smoothies. Does anyone know if you can get a smoothie as your drink when using the dining plan?

Been a few years since but I do believe we have had them included in the past. Perhaps someone with recent experience will happen along?

I have two rooms booked for a total of 5 people. 4 of the 5 people will all arrive at the same time (3 staying in 1 room, 1 staying in the second room). The person who is named on the reservation for the 2nd room won't arrive until later in the day. Can the other person staying in the 2nd room check-in and get into their room before the named person on reservation arrives?

May not be an issue since we are arriving early and none of the rooms may be ready, but I wanted to know in advance so we know what to expect. Thanks!

Edited to add: What is included in the welcome packet that some find in the room and others do not? Just wondering if it's worth asking for at front desk if we don't get one! TIA

Checked in today!!! Gina was wonderful checking us in, our room was not ready and they had us next to my parents, which we did not want. She found us a room in the same building that was ready. My parents waited just about an hour for their room and our ME luggage arrived as they went to their room.

For those coming down next weekend, the Jamacia/Aruba to Old Port Royale bridge will be closed for refurbishment starting Thursday 8/27. I do not have an end time as I forgot to ask. They are aware many guest request these villages for the bridge and are having additional shuttles.

Went for dinner at Shutters at 5:30 but was told nothing was available despite plenty of open tables. The food court did the trick.

Oh no! If you, or anyone else, finds out a tentative end date, please let us know! I might need to change my requests.

How long is the walk from Jamaica 42 to OPR? It looks like there is another bridge linking it to Trinidad area?

Wow, that's quite an inconvenience for people who were planning to use that bridge! I'm glad they'll have extra buses running, hopefully that will do the trick.

We arrive on September 2, I really wonder how long the refurbishment will take.

I really hope this is a quick refurb. Otherwise, I'm going to switch my online check in request from Jamaica to Martinique.

Well that stinks. If you find anything else out, please let us know!

36 Days to go!! I'm glad I requested Barbados, so no worries about the bridge. Hope it is done quickly for everyone! This will be the first stay at CBR where I planned an entire day at the resort. I was wondering which beach is it where you can see some fireworks? I know it is only the highest ones, but it would be a nice way to end the day.
