Thank you! Now I do not have to worry about delivery! I will pack snacks and be all set. How were the prices for the bags of chips etc?

i just saw an updated pic of a case of water in the gift shop, it was priced over $16 and the bottles were on the small side. :(

You can request Martinique and you will be put in sections 21/22/23 which are standard rooms (and closer to Barbados then Old Port Royale) Preferred rooms in Martinique are 24/25/26.

As far as Jamaica goes, if you request a water view room, you will probably have to pay for the upgrade as it is a book able category... unless you get some pretty wonderful pixie dust! ( it can happen...) ;)

The reason i am asking is i have paid for a water view room and on TP they list water view rooms in the preferred buildings in Martinique. I am wondering if it would be a waste to request a waterview in a preferred building.

I've been looking, but don't see any info. Are the coffee makers in rooms now the coffee pods? (Kureg style)? Thank you and sorry if I missed a post about it!

They are PODS, but not the Keurig type......the machine is similar to the one I have at home only mine makes a single cup (pod) and a pot of coffee........it is a Hamilton Beach coffee maker. If you google this brand of coffee maker with the word "pod" you should see what they are. Similar to the Senseo brand of pods. I've seen them at Walmart! I usually bring a box of my own from home.

We leave tomorrow! YAY...cant believe its finally here...CBR here we come, this year we are flying from Houston to Tampa instead of driving 16 hours to Orlando so YAY to that too! This will be our 6th time back...just cant wait. Thanks everyone on here for keeping me excited these past 6 months...you guys rock. Talk to you when I get back and tell you all about it.

You do not need Canadian stamps in the US. Just buy a regular ole US of A stamp and your letters/post cards will make it to O Canada! Hope this helps!:flower1:
Yeah I just use regular stamps to post to my relatives in the UK...I have family in Canada too..the current rate for a canadian post card is $1.10, hope that helps :)

I am looking at one night at POFQ. I think you are right, if we do decide to go a day early I will get a taxi. Did you take a one-way DME TO POR and then the one-way DME from CBR to airport after your trip?

I know we get the DME tags sent to our home before our trip for getting TO the resort. I can't remember, but do we get new DME tags for the ride back to the airport after the vacation is over?
Yes we took DME to POR and then DME from CBR. It was not a problem at all. When you go to check in for your flight at the Customs House, they will tag everything with the airline tags. There is no need for DME tags on the way home because you will be picking up your luggage, not Disney.

If a room is classified as a Water View in a Preferred Building is just that a Water View. So yes, if you have a Water View room booked you can absolutely request one in a preferred location.

Do you know when the picture was taken. The cases of water used to be $16.69 but I know for a fact back in June they were selling for $6.49 per case.

post #17 - looks like April of this year the pic was posted, not sure when the pic was taken. i know that on a facebook group i am a part of there was also stated the cases were $6+ and someone came along and corrected them and said they were $16+. now what is the absolute truth, i cannot say.

That is awesome! Now, do i trust TP that these rooms are in fact what they say they are? How could i confirm this information?

Stating there are multiple buildings at CBR that have zero king beds, not true. Every building has the same amount of them except the Pirate Themed Rooms.
Stating there are multiple buildings at CBR that have no connecting rooms, not true. Every building has the same amount of them, even the Pirate Themed Rooms.
Showing multiple pictures of rooms in Jamaica that are actually in Barbados, you can tell by the color of the building.
Showing pictures of GF rooms that are actually from the other side of the resort.
Showing there are multiple buildings at POR that have no king rooms.
Showing there are multiple buildings at POR with no connecting rooms.

These are just what I have found and can remember off the top of my head. I have had 4 coworkers use the tool and fax their requests to POR or POFQ and all 4 were assigned the room numbers they requested, but were nowhere near the location they wanted.

Got it! Fortunately, I haven't used them to request a room. I really don't care for a specific room. I'll just hope I get my online check in requests.

OH WOW! Glad I came here and asked!!

If you haven't paid for a water view or a preferred room will the request for these work?

Absolutely. We have never actually paid for a "room with a view", and have gotten it often when requested, for no charge. Out of our last 10 trips, I'd say at least 7 times. To be honest, I don't care all that much what the view is when staying in a moderate as you don't have a balcony anyway. (Kind of pointless if you ask me to pay for something I can't really enjoy). Now if staying deluxe, while I still have never paid for it, it's really nice when you get lucky and get a free upgrade due to a request. A recent Wilderness Lodge stay with a great courtyard view is one of those times. Again, might even be worth paying for if you have a Balcony.
