I am currently booked at POP for our December stay. I think we want to upgrade to a moderate. I have a PIN code and originally there weren't any moderates available with it. Now, both CBR and CSR are available. My first choice was CSR, but I guess there is a College Cheerleader Christmas something or other there during my dates, and hubby and I don't want to deal with that. Our next choice is CBR (we stayed at POR last year).

I am a little worried though because I've read about how huge the resort is, the bus service isn't the best, and it's a pain to check in at the separate place. I know you are all posting here because you love Caribbean Beach, so are those things really that big of a deal?

We aren't going to book preferred, but we are going to book a King Room if we do decide to switch to here. I have read that Jamaica and Aruba are the most desirable areas?
We have stayed at both. CBR a few years ago and POP last year. We are coming back to CBR this December. We LOVE it compared to POP. We never had any issues with busses that we didn't have at other resorts. We actually thought is was longer waits for POP at park closing. As far as size, we felt our walk to the main pool/ food area was just as long at both resorts, but much prettier and relaxing at CBR. I think the pools at CBR are much nicer (and they have hot tubs - nice after a long day of walking). I really don't think you would be disappointed with CBR!

I want an adjoining room.......online check in gave me the option adjoining (no door) Does this make since??
It does make sense. Connecting rooms have a connecting door between them. Adjoining rooms are just next to each other.

Planning a trip for a friend and they are staying at CBR. They will arrive to resort around 1pm. Should I plan them to head to mk that day?? Dinner?? What does everyone do arrival day at CBR??

We are doing Cape May Buffet and Epcot on day one. We arrive at 1:15PM, take the DME to CBR, so I have our fastpasses starting at 3:30PM and dinner at 6:55PM. Then the wife and I can walk back through the park or take a leisurely stroll around the boardwalk. I don't like doing too much on day 1 unless we have a morning arrival.

I am curious if anyone has recently done the touring plans room request and if so, how it worked out. I know a few did it a few months ago, I'm just looking for new updates. I have filled one out for our October trip, but am on the fence about submitting it. Part of me thinks I may have better luck with just the online check in and current requests that are on my reservation.

just wondering....i know Disney blocks certain rooms for their promotions (ie play stay dine, etc)...do they always block the same buildings? if so, what buildings do they block in CB?

I didn't know this was an option. I would be interested in the answer also.

I do not think that there is a certain way that they do it. I believe that WDW looks at the amount of rooms left at a certain resort then chooses that way. I know that POFQ has been excluded from at least the last 2 free dining offers.

I did have TP fax the request in for our CBR stay. Got a similar room but different building. My online requests were honored though.

Didn't do the fax request via TP for beach club- again online requests honored and got upgraded to water view (of quiet pool) which was perfect!!

I probably wouldn't do the fax request again although other people have posted they have had success with it

Does this option automatically appear if you have multiple rooms booked? And does it use up one of your two selections?

That's what I am leaning towards. We have always requested to be close to main building on our reservation, and have gotten very lucky several times being in or right next to preferred (we always reserve standard). We are there for 14 nights so I want the best room possible :). Still can't decide!

I saw on another thread that the All Star resorts got the bus arrival boards at the bus stops. Have any been installed at CBR, and if not, does anyone have any idea if they will be?

An adjoining room is one that is next to another one that you want to be next to. A connecting room has a door between them that connects the two rooms.

We were there in June and no arrival boards were up. Not sure about a plan to install them

Yes. I want a connecting door.......is that an option? I didn't see it

DH and I arrive at 9:35am FastPasses at HS at 12, Cape May at 7:00pm

Wow, these would be so cool! We're driving, so it would be nice to have that to refer to - I'm always on the fence about whether to drive to a park or hop a bus (except for MK, where we always take a bus). If we could just swing by the bus stop and see what the waits are it would make my decision easier :) I wonder how accurate they are...

Were still having that dilemma too. I keep reading how the bus waits are long for CBR. We have always took the buses staying in the values and never had a problem.
