Got here on Monday for our first CBR stay ever. We have a water view, and initially got Trinidad North, building 32. Not satisfied. The view was near the end of the lake, which is very narrow.
We called and got moved to Aruba 55 and LOVE it! It's a bit of a walk to Old Port Royale, but it's a beautiful walk, so all the better! We have a beach right in front of us and the view is amazing. VERY happy with this resort after 5 straight years at "our home", Coronado.

Awesome! So glad you're enjoying CBR. Yeah, Disney is very sneaky with some of their "water view" rooms. I have found that as long as any water can be seen from your window or balcony it is labeled as "water view". At Beach Club once we had a Lagoon/Pool view booked. If we were on our balcony and leaned over the railing looking to the right we caught a glimpse of the canal that goes into Epcot.

Our first few stays were in Aruba 55 and 56. Thought it was a great location. We walked from Custom House after check in and for check out and like stated above, really loved the walk to OPR. So glad you're enjoying the resort!:)

We had the opposite. We didn't have a water view room but could see the lake and a quiet pool from our doorway in Martinique 25.

Been reading all the great info.
Staying here for the first time in Oct. Have stayed at POP and POR and looking forward to a new resort :)

They still have not changed the dining plan on the Disney website. Of course who knows, they still have not changed the CBR pictures of the rooms! lol
We were in Martinique last week and did not have the murphy bed in our room. We did have the barn doors though.

I assume by barn doors you mean the sliding bathroom doors. Do some rooms have them and some not?

Actually, I think some rooms have the murphy bed and some don't. All have the barn doors (sliding bathroom doors).

We arrive on July 1st and I keep going back and forth on whether or not to do online check-in. We usually arrive by 9:00 a.m. and we have a room request. What are the chances of us getting our request granted and the room ready when we get there? I wonder if it is better to just do check-in when we get there? Can't decide:rolleyes2 Any thoughts?

If you do online check-in and give CBR the time that you plan to arrive they will do their best to have a room ready when you arrive. If you do not like the room you can still see if what you requested will be open later in the day.

Thanks micandminforever. Do you think it is more likely we could be put in Barbados this way? That was not where we wanted to be.

It really depends on what is available at that time of morning, but since they know you are coming in early they will try to meet your request. If you do not like the room you can always ask again for your request and wait for another room. We have arrived early before and the CM has gotten on the phone with housekeeping to see what was opening up in our requested area. Just like in the regular line you can always ask for a better room.

Hello all!

We love CBR!! and are headed back this Sept!! This time we are bringing DH's entire extended family!! 6 adults, 6 kids! We are getting 3 rooms, and are hopeful for 2 connecting, 1 adjoining. Love the new refurbishments since we were "home" last!!!

this is the first trip for my nephews and niece and my sil/her dh and bil have not been in 20 years!!! so excited for my MIL to come with all her grandkids. I know everyone will love CBR as much as we do!!!

Goddesserika, above I reposted a map from the first page of this thread. I find it helpful to refer back to from time to time.....you can see from the map all the building #s and each country. I suppose it's all a personal preference but it seems many people on this thread like Jamaica and Aruba :)

I am completely envious! I hope to get ours paid off in July, a full month ahead of schedule :) It does make it all real, doesn't it?[/QUOT

i paid our September trip off this past week. I was waiting until i reached 121 days on the disney vacation account. I opened it up Feb. 7 so i paid it off on June 10 !!!

I requested my bonus already ! I still have money left on there but I will request that as a gift card later and add it to my $60 bonus gift card from disney vacation account.

90 days to go !

So, today is our 60 day mark! Lots of excitement with fastpass reservations and online check-in. I was wondering opinions about online check-in. We're traveling with my parents, and we would like connecting rooms. Our travel agent (my aunt) had it noted when she made our reservations. She also noted that we'd like Martinique (we are in a preferred room). When we do on-line check-in, I was thinking that it was best if we made no requests during the process. Is that the consensus?? If it's already been noted when making the reservation with Disney, it's not necessary to note it during on-line check-in?? Also, funny thing was that when I did my on-line check-in, it already had "Connecting Rooms" check marked under the options. However, when my mom did hers, it was not listed as an option at all! So....I'm thinking it must not be noted on her reservation??? Do you think we should select Martinique on the on-line check-in?? Any opinions would be appreciated!
