Be careful with Aruba close to the bridge, you'll be farther from the bus stop. Closer to bus stop is better for us, because after a long day in the parks, we are usually carrying sleeping kids.

The Jamaica bus stop is much closer to Aruba 51 so we use that one when staying in Aruba 51.

how do you guys request a building? what is the fax number and when do you think I should send a fax? my trip is aug 27

I have always had good luck with calling the main reservation line and add the request to your reservation. This can be done anytime from the day you book up until 4-5 days prior to your arrival.

Ok so it has come to that planning time again for our spring 2016 trip. Looking at discounts for Fall it seems CBR was not included as well as POR. Is that because they are all booked or was it never offered this year? Was hoping for Disney's normal 25% to 20% off with buy 4 day tickets and get one free deal but if Disney is limiting Discounts this may be an issue. Any one know if CBR was offered in the discounts for fall at least the first day they came out?
I received a 15% discount on my CBR reservation for my stay this October.

We only book standard and our last 4 trips our requests are "2nd floor" and "Jamaica 45". We've gotten both each time. Now whether your requests are granted is 100% dependent on occupancy and how many other people requested the same. So it's impossible to judge your odds by others experiences.

Since so many request Jamaica, we requested Martinique because its fairly close to OPR and the building color is way better than pink/purple (in my entire family's opinion-none of us are super pink/purple fans and my youngest HATES the color pink, refuses to wear it unless its pink tights to ballet class which she is required to because of the dress code-LOL). Will let you know if it works for us in 3.5wks.

Do they give little creamers for the coffee in the room? I know a lot of hotels we visit have the coffee pot/pods in the rooms and now they give little creamers instead of powered milk. Does CBR give the creamers?
I always bring my favorite flavored/powdered creamer with me....heck, we've even ordered better coffee pods and had them delivered to our resort (from Walmart dot com). Last time we did that we (I) accidently ordered pods meant for an espresso maker....and they are still sitting in my cabinet at home :wave2:

Thank you! I think you just gave me the final push I needed to delete my room request from TP for my October trip :)
So I still have mine at TP. Do you think it HURTS to have it or will you delete the request just because it will disappoint you if you don't get it?

We filled an empty water bottle at the creamer dispenser and kept it in our room in the fridge.
That is a great idea! So the creamer at OPR is the kind in the big pump bottles? Are there flavors or just regular?

We're going to be staying at CBR in October, should I call now with building requests and have them added to our reservation or wait until online check in?

I usually call right after I make our reservations and ask that my request be noted. Then, I follow-up a week and a half/two weeks prior to our arrival to make sure that they are still noted.

Both :) My main hope is to be as close to the main building as possible. We are there for 14 nights and I want my best chance of having a good location. I fear that if I pick a room, they may try to keep me in that village, but all I really want is a close walk (not a particular village). That is clear as mud in my head, but not so much when I read it back :)

Oh we completely agree about the pink thing. That's one of the reasons we prefer Jamaica over Aruba. The bright yellow of Jamaica is much more pleasing than the pink of Aruba.

my 7yr old just said to me.."I hope its not in the pink buildings" lol ( boy) I personally dont care what color it is or where it is as long as I get a 5th bed or Im making a trip to wall mart for a blow up bed. ugh. fingers crossed. 26 days to go! woot!

Based on color only...I rank the villages as follows:

  1. Martinique
  2. Jamaica
  3. Barbados
  4. Trinidad (N/S)
  5. Aruba

Of course, color is pretty far down on the list of importance though.

We just booked a water/pool view (hoping for pool). We'd also like a murphy bed. Is there a known room or area we should request. Ideally we'd be relatively close to a bus stop as well.

Every village has its own bus stop so you'll be close to one no matter what. For your best odds I would make your requests "Murphy Bed" and "Pool View".

Keep in mind that the bus stops are obviously around the exterior of the resort, and a with a water view, you will generally have a room on the interior of the resort. Doesn't mean you'll be very far from a bus stop though.

I thought that all the standard rooms had the Murphy bed now.
