I originally planned to book POR during FD, but when we found out that was not included, we decided on AofA. I had picked out the POR building and floor level, and had a copy of the recommended letter and fax number handy for when it got closer to travel time. I obviously don't need any of that anymore, so I'm wondering if AofA does something similar. When we booked AofA, we originally wanted the Nemo suites b/c it looked closest to the buses/food court. It wasn't available, so we are at the Lion King suites. I would still like to be closer to the food court/buses, and would prefer a ground floor room. Is there a fax number for AofA like POR has that I can make requests regarding which wing of the building and ground floor? When is it recommended to send in a note or call and make a request? AoA does not accept fax requests. When you do online check in, you can select ground floor an close to transportation as requests. Or you can call and have it noted on your reservation. We stayed last November in LK and that is what we asked for. We got our 1st floor room and the whole LK building is really not that far from the main building.

I have a quick question. Where do you pick up a rented scooter? We rented from apple scooters. I didn't think value resorts had bell service so I was just wondering where to pick up the scooter.

This questions isn't so quick. We have a split say at AoA (long story). We will be in LM for 3 nights and LK for 7 nights then LM for one last night. Is it possible to check in for all 3 when we arrive? Also we are driving so we can store our luggage in the car during check out check in periods but it's kind of going to be a pain. Is it possible for the resort to transfer our luggage from old room to new room. Or do we have to do that? That is probably wishful thinking. We are just rope drop people and that means getting up soooo early to get luggage to car before we leave. But we will do it with a smile if necessary.

Going to AOA for the first time in Aug staying in lion king suite... Question on the buses? It looks like each park has it's own line. Does that help with it being more orderly? I'm used to the bus stop at CSR by the lobby which ends up kind of being a free for all with people always walking up and pushing their way toward the door of the bus.

Yes, it keeps things orderly. No problems at all, knowing where you are in line. They can be pretty busy in the morning, but we never had to wait all that long from here.

Hi All, I just did online check-in and I selected my preferences for being close to the bus stop and being on the ground floor. We are stayin in a cars family suite. I'm wondering if maybe selecting the ground floor was a bad idea because of walk thru traffic and suites that would be above us? Does anyone have any opinion on this one? I thought it would be easier since we have a 2yr and it would be easier to get in and out of the suite being on the 1st floor. Let me know your thoughts, thanks so much!

I HATED our ground floor room. We were in the lion king section and right by the elevator so noise was an issue. We were also the wing that led to the buses so that didn't help either. I'd requested top floor for the noise alone so I was greatly disappointed and not to mention had lots of trouble sleeping.

Word to the wise though, while it so orderly AoA has the "great" distinction of being the last bus stop at almost every park. This means a long walk at the end of a park visit.

My friend almost always stays at BLT and never uses the buses (they usually drive). I texted her a pic late one night leaving MK and said "if I was staying at BLT, I'd be home by now..." The bus stop is literally a flowerbed width from the street in front of Contemporary!! But I surely wouldn't hesitate to stay at AoA again because of that!! Price maybe, but not the transportation.

That's great... I love CSR but my biggest pet peeve is the mad dash for the bus at the bus stop by the lobby.

We have 3 ad 2 ch, My question is how comfortable and roomy is the pull out sofa bed? My mom and daughter probably will be sharing the pull out sofa for 2 weeks. Will it be comfortable enough? I am worried that my mom will end up with a sore back and/or not sleep because of it. Which bed is better, the sofa or the table for comfort?

As our trip approaches I was just wondering where it's stop would be. Last trip we were at POP and it seemed like it was the last stop at every park. At least we're used to that! LOL

We just got back yesterday. We were on the first floor of the closest Nemo building, No. 5. It was noisy, but it didn't ruin our trip. I'm not sure if it was noisy from people right on our wing (since we often heard doors slamming right on the wing) or if it was noisy people walking through our wing to get to the central elevator. We heard loud people in the hallways at 3 or 4 in the morning. Not sure where they were even coming from at that time of the night. I'm not sure if it would be more quiet on the 4th floor since, like I said, the noisiest were the doors slamming right on our wing.

Before the trip we downloaded Relax melodies, a free app, and played crickets ("night" selection) and spring peepers all night which was helpful.

The dressers have various ports on them but not sure they are charging ones. we just used our chargers in the wall sockets.

There are several electrical sockets in the charging stations in the dressers. So much easier to plug in your charging cords all in one place rather than scattered around the room! And you don't have to set your phones and other devices on the floor when charging!

There are several electrical sockets in the chraging stations in the dressers. So much easier to plug in your charging cords all in one place rather than scattered around the room! And you don't have to set your phones and other devices on the floor when charging!

DH and I are coming in for SW Weekend (kind of a last minute trip). He has to work and we couldn't figure out how to get down to WDW from Northern VA in a timely fashion. We literally would have driven all night arrived checked in and gone to HS on Friday.
So.... I am driving down starting late tomorrow and arriving Thursday afternoon and DH is flying down taking the DME after midnight to AoA for one night.

I am actually quite excited, since I have seen such great pictures of this resort. We will then transfer over to CBR.

I will probably hang out at the pool, take lots of photos and wait for the Hubby to fly in

We are staying in Little Mermaid Standard room. It's all we need for the night

We actually just returned from WL on May 6th. We were there 11 days/12 nights.
This trip is a sort of 'See ya real soon!' trip as he is being deployed by his work back to Afghanistan in a few weeks.

Who knows maybe a solo trip back to AoA is in my future
