Decorating?

We always decorate our door and window. If the door isn't magnetic, is there any way to still decorate Anyone have pictures? I always like to do something so the kids can spot our room. :)

Any suggestions for room #s for cars family suites? My DS2 loves mater and McQueen and I was looking at the map online and see next to the pool there are some good areas for view, also looking for the area closest to the food court/busses. I realized you must enter the room from the inside and it's not like PC where we could sit outside the room. If anyone has pictures from rooms please share;) Thank you!!

Wondering the same thing.

Currently staying at AoA in the Cars Suite.. We have been here since Sunday. Check in was great, fast and easy. My 9 year old son loves the Cars theme and the decorations. My 1 year old says high to the Cars every time we walk by.

They are doing remodeling in the food court.

The only thing that has been disappointing is that there are no blankets in this room. There are only sheets on the bed. The towels are very small and thin.

Doors are not magnetic and there really isn't any reason to decorate your window for most rooms. You can't see the decorations.

Ask me anything and I'll do my best to get you an answer.

Thanks
Allison

We will be staying in a Cars suite the end of August with our 5 year old and will be 15 month old twins. Can you please tell me which building number is closest to Animation Hall/transportation so I can request that particular one? Also, which character is in front of that building? TIA.

You can use the Command tabs (they use a non-damaging adhesive that will just peel off the door) for hooks & Sticky Tack for anything else. Don't use tape. You don't want to have to pick it off the door and neither do the CMs.

Building 1 (Mater) and building 3 (Luigi and Guido) are basically equidistant to Animation Hall. I think I'd go with a request for building 1.

Building 2 (McQueen and Sally) is further.

do the little mermaid rooms really sell out a lot of the time? we have one booked for August, the week before school starts, just wondering if anyone has been upgraded to a suite if they are booked in LM wings.

Building 1 and Mater. However, we are in 2 and it has been great. Not a far walk at all. Lighting and Sally are in front of us.

We are in building 2 in room 2628. I like this building because it is close to the food court and the shop plus the pool is right outside along with laundry. Our room is really nice. The first night they went all out with towel animals, using the kids toys, etc to decorate our room. The rest of the nights it was less and less until nothing. We have been here 4 nights.

I saw someone else post about the condition if the main building. I hadn't noticed the poor quality until today. But when I went back to the food court I noticed the cracks and paint coming off.

They are adding more tables and such to the food court. I don't believe they are adding more options behind the white wall.

What's a good building to request if staying in Nemo? It seems like they're pretty close to the main building but is one better than the other? Are the floors themed differently ?

Is Lightning back? He was gone two weeks ago while we were there :(. Refurb, I assume...?

Is the LM walk to food court and buses really that bad. I have heard such stories about how long the walk is. We will have our car. Should I plan on driving to food court and back lol.

It depends on how long you are staying. The first few days are not too bad, but after that, it can get to you. It also depends on which building you are in.

We have a Cars suite booked for Nov 20-28. We will be Me, DH, DS21, DN23, DN16, & DD14. We are so excited to stay here and can NOT wait!
Subscribing to keep up with what is happening. :wave2:

Making the change to AOA from POR RR from AKL...lol. We had originally had booked AKL lodge last year with FD for a BB offer. Changed it to POR RR. Now we have decided to change it to AOA Little Mermaid room and because of this....we won't get the free dining :( But the price difference is only a couple hundred with the dining package. Wasnt the LM rooms included in free dining last year when it was announced? Also, since we are getting LM....which building is closest to the bus stop? I really don't want to have to walk a mile to our room after being in a park.

A bit bummed out.

Our upcoming trip is in October and the initial thought was to have our oldest two daughters come down for the latter part of our trip to avoid missing school. With only 2 children in tow, I had the bright idea to split our stay and finally stay onsite at AoA! Got the room booked, received reservation information and was starting to get excited!

Well, my oldest DD won't be able to come now, so my 14 y/o will come with us for the entire trip (she's too afraid to fly alone, so no sticking with the idea of meeting us later in the week).

The suites are just way too expensive and not worth the price just to experience staying onsite, so...no AoA for us.

LM section opened in September 2012.

LM rooms were excluded from any public free dining offers in 2013.

Buildings 7 and 9 are slightly closer than building 8.

it's only been included for the early fall free dining of 2012 and then in pin form for late fall early winter of 2012.
There is only one bus stop there at the front.
