Disney's ART OF ANIMATION RESORT Thread

Sorry if this is a repeat question... :worried:

Can I book a preferred room? Theming isn't too important to me, but I don't want to be so far away from the main building. I can't seem to find this when checking on the Disney site.

If these rooms are half as awesome as they look, we are in for a treat!

Any thoughts on this location for a Nov. 2014 visit (early in the month)?

Thank you!!

No preferred rooms.

The suites are closer to the main building. The standard LM rooms are further away. You can certainly make a request to be as close as possible to the main building if you book a LM room. However, I'm guessing many people make this kind of request so I don't know how likely it would be to get this granted. You'd still be far away though. Check out the map.

We just booked the AoA Car Suite for May. We were booked at CSR (one of our favorites) but since we will have 4 adults this trip, we thought the extra bathroom and beds for everybody would be a good choice. Hope I made the right choice!!! :goodvibes

Question! One of us has to know the answer to this.

Stayed in the LM wing in October/November. Every time we walked through there, be it to the parks or coming home from a long day, I'd hear Under the Sea play at least once. It was not the original Under the Sea version- it's a re-imagined type, but for the life of me I can't find it anywhere! I've gone through every 'Under the Sea' version on iTunes, nothing is it. Anyone know who sings the version they play at the resort?

i have not heard it but i place money on it being Raven
Carly Rae Jepson and Ashley Tisdale did some stuff too

Yahoo!! We r booked for June in LM room. Soooo excited. We usually stay at ASMo, can someone compare walking from LM to AH to something at ASMO? Is it further than mighty ducks to the busses? Thanks

Never mind, I see the bedroom bed is a queen according to the Disney website. Someone on the previous page posted that it's a full size.

Is the suites bedroom bed really a full size and not a queen?

Pretty sure it's queen size. It seemed the same size as our bed at home which is a queen. We stayed at all stars before and those beds are almost too small for DH and me to be comfortable. At AoA we were much more comfortable.

If it was a full size we would get 2 LM rooms instead of 1 suite so DBF and I could each have our own bed :lmao: Good sleep at Disney is a must!

Def queen, DH and i were very comfortable.

I had read either was either a drink station or they were going to build a drink station or there was one already at the LM section. Can anyone confirm?

We just got back and there isn't a drink station at LM now--I'm not sure where they'd put one? The walk to the food court is really not far at all. It's only a pain if you get home late in the evening, so we started bringing them with us each morning and put them in our backpack when we were done.

Subbing...Thinking of staying here for our Dec trip. DS 10 is not thrilled with LM though he wants Cars but I cant see paying that much for a value suite and in no way do we need that much room. Maybe if I got a good discount code.

DS12 just got back with us-he did have our DD9 with him, but he was fine with the room! When we first walked in and DD stated gushing about the room, he sort of rolled his eyes, but honestly it's not a big deal. Personally I wouldn't spend more money based on that--it's just not that big of deal and the resort was quite nice. We have usually stayed at POFQ or CSR and will stay at AoA from now on. The only issue may eventually be sharing the double sized beds with a super tall teenager, but other than that it was great. The resort was so convenient to all the parks, the new amenities were great (charging stations built into the area under the tv, etc). Only thing we would have had an issue with was no coffee maker in room, but we bought a 4cup maker from Amazon, brought it down with in our luggage (still only used carry on) and it worked great!

Just want to verify that there are refrigerators in ALL the LM rooms. It doesn't say on Disney's website that they have them and when I called this morning the person that I talked to didn't know. We are having food delivered and I need to know if I also need to get a cooler or if I can just go with the refrigerator.

I've found conflicting information when googling.

Thanks!

ours did and I would think they all would--it was built into the dresser so my hunch is it would be standard in all the rooms. It was the same size fridge as in POFQ and CSR. It did mean there was less drawer storage though-- 3 drawers on the left side, and then the fridge took up the whole right side of the dresser.

Thanks! I saw a picture of that online, but I can't find anything on the Disney website that states that.

There's no permanent drink station in the LM section. From time to time when it's busy there's been a temporary/portable refreshment station in use in the mornings in the LM section.

Yes, all LM rooms are supposed to have a refrigerator. Disney has pulled back on listing a fridge as an amentity since they had to remove and replace thousands of defective fridges last year, and in some cases they still may not be done. But the fridges have been replaced in the LM rooms.

What is Disney movies under the stars Does AOA has Disney Movie under the stars?

Thanks guys for clearing up that drink station! Looks like we will pick up some cokes for DH, sad to admit but as much diet coke as he drinks he would spend all of his free time walking back & forth! lol :confused3
