Disney's ART OF ANIMATION RESORT Thread

Ok, did online check in and requested corner room near transportation, am I right in hoping that it may put us in a room close to that end of the either bldg. 10 or 6? I'd like to be closer to the food court and nemo if at all possible.

We got our personalized maps and booked our fast passes and have all the ADRs set, 55 days and counting!! My 5 year old is so excited, but I think I may be more excited than anyone!

Oops forgot to ask this...

Do we have to pay the over 2 adult charge in the suites if there are 4 adults?

Thanks!!

Carla

Which building at Art of Animation is close to the animation hall to the buses?

If you look at the map in post #1, buildings 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 10 are the closest.

and the lobby will give us a fass pass plus when we check in?

I'm not sure what you mean by this.:confused3 You can make your FP+ reservations up to 60 prior to your arrival online. They are not physical things like the old FP used to be, so there's nothing to give you.

thanks for the info! which is buildings 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 10 are the closest to the buses?

Buildings 1 & 3 are probably technically the furthest but it's really going to depend where your room is in any one of those buildings as to which one has the shortest walk. We were in building 10 at the end closest to Animation Hall. It was a super quick walk (less than 2 minutes) from the door of our room to the bus stops. If we had been at the far end of our building, it would have added another minute or so to our walk. There's a map on the first post of this thread -- that might give you a better idea of the layout of the resort.

If you want to be close to the buses, that's what you should put as your room request. If you only request a specific building, the room assignor won't know why you want that building and may end up putting you in the building you requested but far from the bus stops.

I've read a lot of this thread and haven't seen the answer. Is there a list anywhere of what food is available in the gift shop or grab and go section of the food court? I'm talking snacks and drinks and the like. I would really rather avoid a garden grocer delivery and we won't have a vehicle so just wondering if I will be disappointed in the selection or lack there of. Thanks for any input :)

If you scroll through this detailed review of AoA, you'll see images of what's available for grab and go, etc.:

Bkfst ends at 11am
Actually, some stations switch over at 11, but some not until 11:30. We found this to be a PITA, as the 4 of us always ate from different ones. I wish they'd note those times on the handout in the welcome packet. Maybe someone could post them here...TIA if you do!!

Does anyone know the iced tea choices at the food court and/or pool bar?

The last few times we've been there the iced tea choices were (Gold Peak) Sweetened Black Tea, Unsweetened Black Tea, White Tea with Citrus, and Sweetened Green Tea.

Hi everyone! My husband are disney fans. We just got back and are already planning our next trip. We are planning on going back with our extended family in 2017. There are 6 for sure going but we can maybe have up to 15. ( as long as no one has anymore kids between now and then. Then the # may go up) I was wondering if it was possible to get family suites that were connected or at least next to each other. Also anyone with advice on traveling with such a large party will be great. Ages will range from almost 70 to a 3 year old.

Thanks
Amber

None of the Family Suites have interior doors that connect them. All you can do is request that your Suites are close to each other. But that is only a request.
